most demanded parts?
Thank you in advance everyone!
|
I have a partial answer. Star Wars sets can have a decent part out value, but
a lot of that value comes with the minifigures. For popular minifigures, they
seem to sell fairly quickly. It is worth noting though that this does not apply
to all minifigures from that theme, as some do sell poorly and for cheap.
I have heard that Ninjago and Harry Potter can do well, but I do not have first
hand experience with those themes, so take my words with a grain of salt.
If you are curious about the sales volume of minifigures or parts from a set,
you can check out the price guide on each page for the part/minifigure. An example
can be found in the image below.
Hope this helps some,

How much are you willing to pay, including shipping, taxes, etc? (in AUD)
If you were interested, I can try and find a set and then ship it to you at cost.
So far, from scouring Ebay I could get you a used set that is missing Lotso,
the instructions, and the box for ~$275 AUD (includes shipping costs to you,
insurance, tax, etc). A sealed set in a crushed box would cost you ~$350 AUD
(also includes shipping costs to you, etc).
Just an option if you are desperate.

* Change 2 Part Light Bluish Gray 3660 Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 2 with Flat Bottom Pin {match ID 0 to 1}
Comments from Submitter:
Found in multiple sealed sets I am parting out. Only the light bluish gray 2x2 inverted slopes are the newer mold design (76959). The dark bluish gray 2x2 inverted slopes that are also found in the set are still the older variety (3660).

Thanks so much for the info Randy, I wasn't aware that LEGO had started to

wrong before I list them for sale. I will add a note to the listing to make it

| Hello,
I was recently parting out and was noticing that there was a noticeable
difference in the colour for many of Some were more yellowish
and slightly paler than the others. It was hard to photograph the difference,
but the best one I got is below. I am not familiar enough with this colour to
know if it is a common occurrence. I do know that Lime Green has a problem like
this, as well as some Light Bluish Grey in the early 2010s, but my knowledge
doesn't extend much past that. Any help would be appreciated.

| --Update--
I asked the buyer if they had another address that they could ship to instead
of the one they provided, as I was not comfortable shipping to a shipping/freight
forwarder where the likely destination was Russia. They said they did not have
another. I said I would unfortunately be cancelling the order, while apologizing
that I could not help them more. Soon after I sent the buyer this message, they
requested the order be canceled themselves, so I canceled the order for them.
I will think a little while for what to give for feedback, before I post something
for this user.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment and offer your thoughts, I
really appreciate it.

Thanks so much for the advice. I will wait a little bit before taking action

wanted to ask the community which has more experience than I do before doing
anything drastic. I will update everyone if/when I take action.

| Hello,
I recently received an order from a new user (0 Feedback) with an address in
Delaware, USA. The address is for a freight forwarding company (Shiptor, 1600
Johnson Way, New Castle, DE), which is a Russian company and will ship into Russia.
The phone number they provide has been linked multiple times to scams. I do not
ship to Russia, do not want to ship to Russia, and have no future plans to do
so either. I think this user is trying to get around sanctions and/or customs
fees.
When this buyer first contacted me, I was a little suspect of them, but I have
had other new buyers act in similar ways, and they were great buyers. After I
emailed photos of the set (75227) to the buyer, I got a response almost immediately,
and it sounded very different to the previous message that I had received. This
started to raise red flags for me, but after I got the shipping address I knew
something fishy was going on.
They requested an invoice, which I have not filled out yet, so I have not received
payment yet either.
Do I have any justification to cancel the order, or do I have to go through with
it?
Any help or insight would be appreciated,
Thanks,
-Alizarin

The headlight section of is recessed from the edge of the brick by
1/2 the thickness of a plate/tile. If one of [Part=3070b] was added to the headlight
section, it would stick out from the edge of the brick by 1/2 a plate, whereas
is a full 1 brick and 0 plates in width.
Part 4070 can be combined with many of the brackets, such as which
sticks out from the side of a brick by 1/2 a plate thickness. When brackets are
combined with the headlight brick, there would be a 1 plate difference in width
between the two sets of sideways facing studs.
This is probably most useful if you are trying to add texture or variations in
thickness to your build, or to add some strength. There is a wonderful video
from Tiago Catarino on Youtube about brackets and headlight bricks that delves
deeper into their usefulness, which I would recommend.
I hope this helps,

| Hello,
I had a buyer request a quote for an order, and the quote request was automatically
canceled. I know that if the item they were requesting a quote for was bought
by someone else it would cancel the quote, but I have not received an order that
would cause this to happen. The quote request and quote cancellation happened
within the same minute as one another. Can a buyer cancel their own quote request,
or might there be something else going on?
Any help or insight would be appreciated.

| Hello!
It is great to see another new seller, similar to myself. It seems you are doing
great so far, just waiting for your first order. I took a look at your store,
and all looks good, especially your terms section. There are only two things
I would recommend adding to your Store Terms, mostly to protect yourself as a
seller:
1. A note about packages returned to sender. This will help your customers know
what there options are if their package is returned to you: can they get a refund,
minus shipping costs; can they pay again to have the package sent out to them
again, etc.
2. Give a small note about whether you accept returns or not, and if so what
needs to happen for the package to be returned.
I know it is not fun writing lots of terms and conditions out (mine is too long,
so I will have to shorten it in the near future), but it gives your buyers a
clear picture of what they can expect when shopping at your store, and will hopefully
lead to a smoother transaction each time. As much as the T&C is to help your
buyers, it also to protect yourself for when something goes wrong.
I wouldn't worry too much about adding a lot more to your T&C until you figure
out how much time you are willing to dedicate to this, and more importantly how
important selling is to you. Unless you see yourself significantly increasing
the size of your inventory in a short period of time, I wouldn't worry about
adding large detailed sections to your T&C.
Lets see: since I have been rambling for a while, I will try to wrap this up
soon but will try to give some last little random tid bits of advice:
1. You can add/remove different columns in your Orders Received page, in the
Customize Display option towards the top of the page. I like to add the tracking
number column, so I can keep track of all the packages for each order.
2. Look around on every page you go to in the My Store tab. There are a lot of
somewhat hidden settings that can be very useful to mess around with.
Hopefully this wasn't too confusing,
