Maybe one of your employees is messing with you. If they have the PW they can
login from anywhere. Did you fire anyone and forget to change your PW?

What if bricklink confirms that their software does not do it and cannot do it?
And that it must be down to user behaviour.

Especially if you have multiple people accessing the same account, you cannot
possibly know what has happened unless you monitor their usage of the software.
One off errors occasionally happen when people do their work.

I hear that, but in cases where this happens it's very late at night when
no employees are working, and the change is at the same time for all orders that
are changed so user error seems unlikely.

If bricklink looks into this and says that it's impossible that it's
them, we'll investigate further but I don't see what other options we
have in this case.

we don't use brick freedom to mark orders as shipped or anything like
that, only to synchronise inventory.

You can pay with a credit card through paypal without having a PayPal account.
You will need an email address that is not associated with an existing paypal
account. At least this works in the US.

Delete your web browser cache & cookie, then close all browser windows. Open
the browser, login to bricklink and click Pay on the order. After entering
the email that is not associated with paypal in the first paypal screen and clicking
'next' you should see something like this. Don't login, just fill
in your credit card details.

PayPal, generally stay in your home country 100% of the time, and other conditions
that don't work for every lifestyle. Quite a few sellers here already I would
have bought from you, but you only accept PayPal... so then I must find another
seller

I would love to see more sellers here offering various payment types, specifically
offer some non-Paypal options, I'm begging you lol 🤣

Sorry for the delay. Just too busy. So I think I've found some very screwy
edit issues in the Store management and shipping method pages. Something about
fields that hold currency values.

With no store minimum set, If I try to delete a shipping method minimum, the
save appears to work normally. But if I scroll back down, the original shipping
method minimum amount is still there!

If I reduce the shipping method minimum to 1.01...scroll back down that works.
Then try to delete, save. Scroll back down 1.01 is still there! If I change
it again to 0.01 that works. THEN I can delete the shipping method minimum completely.
I'm stumped...

Screen shot is of store minimum & lot minimum of $1.00 each. Sometimes the values
display as 01 other times as 1 but never 1.00 which is what I'd expect.

Either set a minimum for the whole shop, or set a minimum depending the shipping
method.

But not both in contradiction.

It depends on what 'regular mail' means. I recommend asking the seller
for details.

If the seller is in the US, the USPS First class letter and large envelope rates
do not have tracking... even with printed postage labels (e.g. stamps.com).
A letter/paper envelope with no padding could be a disaster for shipping figs.
Sorting machines are likely to chew up the figs.
saw 'regular mail' a paper envelope letter was my first thought.

But last I heard, the USPS will also accept a USPS first class package (e.g.
a bubble mailer) with enough stamps on it to cover the retail package rate.
But there won't be tracking.

All of the above are domestic "USPS First Class" variants. For international,
there are a few other variables.

PS: I don't think BrickLink has ever approved, or forbidden any shipping
methods. Perhaps something has been lost in translation. I'd say bubble
mailers are generally accepted by BL buyers and sellers for small parts and fig
orders. But that isn't what 'BrickLink approved' means.

I hope it all works out for you.

Agreed...the tread marks are probably from the envelope getting stuck in a sorting
machine.

Luckily they also didn't slap postage due on it for the package rate.

First class envelope. I always ship smaller orders that way unless requested
otherwise so I can keep shipping prices down for my store.

Then you made your own mess here. First Class envelope is for paper only and
is not intended for mailing merchandise. The rules specifically preclude variation
in thickness and rigidity. First Class envelope is intended to be run through
the roller sorting machines.

Don't blame the USPS or its employees for this one.

LEGO parts must ship First Class package.

Please add an additional copy of these links somewhere at the top of the orders

First make sure your browser cache & history is cleared. On the first paypal
screen enter an email address that is NOT tied to your paypal account. That
looks like it kicks off the ability to pay w/out an account. I didn't go
any further than this....

File a dispute via email. (there is an email on the page above). Give them as
much detail as possible. adjustment number, tracking number, ship to/from addresses,
etc. I've had it take months for them to get back to me. But I've
won every one of mine when I filed the dispute.

I'm thinking that more than one package winds up in or on the automated scale
& scanner system. I assert as much in my dispute. Several times I've had
very small USPS First Class Packages shipped in #000 or #0 bubble mailer get
adjusted as a priority flat rate item. I'm guessing a scanner catches a
QR code on another package at the same time it catches the bar code on my label.
Or two packages on the scale increase the weight throw off the weight.

I've always asked for them to check the cameras. (they must have pictures
or video). Since I can track the package back to a BL order, I can be fairly
certain what sort of packaging I've used.

  Hi all,

I have a question.

On 3/18/23, I created a First Class shipping label for a 7x4x4 box that weighed
4oz. I paid $4.44 for the label. I shipped it out the next day.

On 3/26, I got a notification from USPS that the package was changed to Priority
and I was charged an additional $5.63.

I was not asked to change from First Class to Priority. Did the recipient request
it without consulting me?

I e-mailed USPS to complain about the situation on 3/27, but there hasn't
been a response yet.

I paid the charge (required in order for me to print additional shipping labels)

What do you think happened here?

Thanks,

-BB&B

Only since BL implemented Sales Tax / VAT collection for the buyer's location.
In the US --- https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2503

Chances are your buyers have been clicking the pay button, rather than the link.
BL also puts a warning on the invoice if the buyer's location requires sales
tax....

This message is to guide you through the payment process for BrickLink Order
#000000000. In the rare case that Seller provides different off-site payment
instructions below, we would like to advise you to submit payment using the PAY
NOW button on the Order Details page. This is because any payments made using
other methods may result in an improper transaction where tax is not paid to
the state. Thank you, and we appreciate your continued support.

To submit payment for this order, click on the PAY NOW button on the order details
page.

For this kind of order you the payment button appears for the users, but if you
put a link in your comments and they used it then it needs to be refunded and
paid using the button on Bricklink.

I had the link in the past but since a few years ago I removed it and just point
the users to use the Pay button that appears inside the order view (linking to
it) and on their orders placed page.

So your saying that if I send a manual invoice to a customer that there is a
"Pay" button on there? Below is a line that we included on all invoices
we send manually for the link top make the payment(the X's are replacing
my PayPal email):

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?&cmd=_xclick&business=XXXX@XXX.com¤cy_code=USD&amount=41.64&item_name=Order21450872

So I take it that all this time (at least sense BL implemented onsite payments)
I should not have had that line in there because there was always a "Pay"
button on the invoice? Which makes sense considering I always see the pay button
when I place an order on BL and get sent an invoice.

I see $6.50 for a flat rate padded mailer in your store for a few small parts.

I'm guessing you are using the "API" or you started with another
old shared shipping methods. If you are, don't do that.

Commercial rate for the Flat Rate Padded is currently listed at $8.80 - https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm#_c078

Twice in the last two days.... in orders where the seller requested insurance.
BL is increasing the shipping amount, and decreasing the insurance amount.
In both cases the changes offset. But it looks funny on the order when the amounts
aren't what I expect.

I'm guessing there is some funky pro-rating required because in some states
insurance is NOT taxed (it is an untaxed service). Because there is one shipping
charge... a portion of the shipping must be allocated to the insurance because
the shipping of an non-taxed item is also not taxed.

Is this a short term fix? because looking at these makes my head hurt.
