  Hallo zusammen,

  Hi,

I currently have a buyer who started their order on May 24th (new account, 1
feedback). They chose IBAN as a payment option, but have since added new batches
to the order every 3-5 days and have not paid. The order date keeps changing
with every new batch added.

I repeatedly tried communication with the buyer. I also waived the shipping costs
on the invoice, in case that is their cause for trying to get the order as big
as possible (shipping was 6€). Never got an answer from the buyer.

Is this common? Can I do anything against it?
Is this technically a case for NPB? Because with every new batch added their
7 days get reset?
Or can I simply stoplist the buyer while the order is ongoing?

Maybe the one buyer, that collected in my shop over a year with in the end more
than 30 batches. But he paid after all and had a clean feedback, so no problem
for me. I think it depends on the blocked value in cart.

ohne Geschäftskunden-Anmeldung.

What can I do better?
Thx

It is particularly helpful for smaller shops to offer at least a small number
of used parts that are no longer new available.
The very large stores offer most new parts in better quantities and prices and
it is hard to compete with them only with new parts.

Just curious what your stores order to visit ratios are? I have one order for

Have never looked at those values in this way before. Interesting... But I
think one can place an order without releasing any visit at all. At least with
todays Bricklink System.

Hallo

Gratulation Deutsche Post. So drängt man kleine Händler raus und behindert freien
Warenverkehr.

I find that some stores process orders a lot faster than other stores. Most
of the time this is proportionate to the number of outstanding orders that the
store has yet to fill (IE how backlogged they are)

In some cases I've waited 3 weeks from the day I paid for an order until
it was actually shipped.

From a buyers perspective if I knew how many orders there were ahead of mine
it would help me make a decision as to whether or not I was going to order from
this store or not... (in many cases you have no choice because you are selecting
the store because they have most of the items on your wanted list)

But at least if I knew that the store had 100 orders ahead of mine I could make
an informed decision whether I wanted to buy from them or if I would be better
off splitting my order across a few stores that have much fewer orders ahead
of mine.

In the brick and mortar world it's like being in a food court... I could
really want Chipotle, but I can see they've got a huge line... but hey there's
no line at Subway... that's good enough... I'll go there...

So what would count against the seller would be things like
- Order Placed but not yet invoiced
- Orders Paid for by the buyer but not yet shipped

Things that would not count against the seller
- Orders invoiced but not yet paid for by the buyer

You could even display an average for number of days from the day the Buyer marks
the invoice as PAID to the day the SELLER sets the status to SHIPPED. This would
be simpler and tell you how fast a SELLER processes orders on average.

(Hopefully most people are honest... once again I've had a seller outright
lie and tell me that they shipped something out, but when I actually received
the item I can see what date it was post marked, and it's more than 2 weeks
later.. I understand people get busy and they have lives... but at least be
honest about it)

Those kind of information may be interesting for a buyer. But in some cases it
is not very expressive. It can even be misleading. Me for example do process
orders with low lot numbers by priority. When I have 2 order with 100 lots each
to process and you make an order with only 10 lots - then you will get your invoice
first and I will ship your package immediately while the two others may wait
a few days longer. But if there are 5 orders with 10 lots each, your order is
at the end of the queue. But it would only take 1-2 days anyway. So I think it
would be better, a seller could enter a queue position or a time estimate
or something like that. It is difficult I think.

I don't like the idea. I accept every wish to cancel an order in my shop.
I have to do it by law and I think it is a good seller behaviour. But I also
think that it is good customer behaviour to only cancel an order for important
reasons. And with this feature I fear that many customers understand that as
a common service and an invitation to place conditional orders to hold back parts
and cancel later because they can get them cheaper elsewhere. And that is not
acceptable in my opinion. I pick my orders before I invoice and more cancel requests
means more work without earnings.

I ended up with a lot maximum fee of EUR 28.59 for an order of EUR 37.08. That's
78% surcharge, almost as much as the order itself. How do you feel about this?

I would be ashamed to add such a high fee on the order. Whether mentioned or
not in the store terms.

REASON for suggestion: - to improve buyer shopping experience.

PROBLEM: - items in buyers cart are not necessarily available at check out due
to another buyer placing the same item(s) in their cart and checking out first.

This can be quite frustrating if these items were what you went shopping for
and either: -

1) Due to store minimum buy requirements you were looking for other parts to
make up the minimum

Or

2) You had a complex shopping list

COMPARISON – With real world shopping - items in your shopping cart are certain
to be yours assuming you go to the checkout and pay.

SOLUTION: - Add a reserved function to the cart, so that the first buyer to place
an item from a store in their cart makes it unavailable to other buyers.

This function should have a default “time out” of perhaps one hour (similar to
abandoning a physical shopping cart in a shop – the items being returned to stock)

OTHER BENEFIT: - This will also have a lesser but beneficial aspect for the shop
owner, as currently, the only way a buyer will be sure to obtain items is to
place (sometimes) multiple additions to orders – which depending on the inventory
management system employed, can make for a more complicated and confusing order.

I believe this will be of benefit to the whole community!

PLEASE consider voting YES, AND adding a comment to keep this suggestion in view
and thus gain more votes!

Graham

How is the visibility of the reserved items to shop owner and other customers?
I think it could trigger some people to commit nuisance. Someone could add for
fun all items in a store to his shopping card. The problem is that everyone could
do that, even unregistered users.

I like the idea. Often a store offers rare parts which are not on my wanted list.
But it is hard to find them. With this feature you can make a fast choice to
buy them for example to meet the minimum amount.

I consider the auto close function in the Store Settings as very useful. In case
something unexpected happens, store is closed after x days. But what about open
orders?
Would it be possible to have a similar function that sends after x days without
login an automatic message to all users with open orders (Status not "Shipped"
or "Completed") in my store?
