| Now 14395 is noted as alternative number for 2339. But there's a difference
between the items. Walls forming the arch of 14395 are thinner, there also a
reinforcement in the transversal walls inside the arch. As consequence, it's
impossible to fix a stud inside the arch because the gap is to large.
So 14395 is a mold variant that need is own entry I think.
I don't know how to do that because it's now impossible to create a new
one under 14395. How am I suppose to proceed?

Also a new category: "Technic, Decorated" for all the stickered and color
printed parts which make the other category's a bit overcrowded. This would
be in line with all the other decorated categories like; "Brick, Decorated",
"Plate, Decorated" etc.
Remove Category "Technic, Plate"
and merge whole category into "Plate, Modified" with 13 parts.

64451, 4586, 6247, 2637 to "Liftarm".

| How to better deal with the sets that come with LEGO magazines?
situation
Currently there are LEGO magazines with added sets (they are glued to the magazine)
in 6 countries, each in the language from the country where they are published.
- Germany
- Czech Republic
- Poland
- Netherlands
- France
- Sweden
It is painfully obvious that there are no English speaking countries in this
list.
The frequency in which they appear varies a bit. I have no exact data but 6-8
magazines per year seems to be sort of average.
themes
The magazines come in 8 themes (not each country get the same themes covered):
- Avengers
- Batman
- City
- Friends (this is the oldest one)
- Jurassic World
- Minecraft
- Ninjago
- Spiderman
current Bricklink coverage
The extent to which all these items are included in the catalogue depends on
the cooperation of volunteers in different countries. As far as I have been able
to determine, the sets are always added to the catalogue, but the magazines in
which they appear are not always added - they need a separate entry in the catalogue.
how to find these magazine sets on Bricklink?
Until recently you could find them by searching for the theme and add 'foil
pack' to your search criteria.
For example here is the list of Minecraft Foil Packs: minecraft+foil+pack
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=foil+pack+minecraft&tab=S#T=S
However, somewhere in 2023 TLG began to replace the foil packs by paper bags
glued to the magazine. Accordingly, Bricklink catalogue admins understandably
changed the description from foil pack to paper bag.
The result is that you now also have to search for the paper bags minecraft+paper+bag:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=paper+bag+minecraft&tab=S#T=S
Currently there are about 500-600 sets that are part of a magazine. And there's
no easy way to find them all in a single search or a limited search by theme.
therefore my suggestion about how to deal with this
I looked at the way how Brickset deals with the same problem and they have a
very clever and simple solution for it. They just call all the foil packs and
paper bags 'magazine gifts'.
If you want to search for these items you can do so: https://brickset.com/sets/subtheme-Magazine-Gift
My suggestion is to follow this example and change the description of all those
sets. For example
would become: Alex, Baby Llama and Bee - Magazine Gift
Even more nice would it be to make additional changes to the sets catalogue tree:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogTree.asp?itemType=S
and add a new subtheme called 'Magazine Gift' for each of the 8 themes
TLG has magazines with sets. Star Wars already has 45 subthemes so one more wouldn't
hurt
This way we have several options to search for the magazine sets: by keyword
(Magazine Gift) or by browsing/searching for the theme and selecting the subtheme.

| Minifigure Air Tanks 3838 should have two mold variants. At some point
(I don't have an exact year), the mold was updated very slighty to widen
and re-shape the two openings at the bottom. With the newer variant, it's
possible to insert a standard bar partway in, whereas this couldn't easily
be done before and is something that has been noted on other sites. The top part
is a tad more defined as well. This is significant when trying to locate era-accurate
parts for older sets. As a buyer, I've come unstuck with this, and it's
essential to know what type I'm getting.

other than the injection molding dimple on the side of 44873. Also, the bar hole
on 44873 goes a bit deeper than 11090 and I suggest this either be added to the

a difference, which is how I came to realize this and was able to sort both types

4583979 I believe should be moved to Trans-Light Green.
Though they are not actual Trans-Light Green since these parts are marbled, the
general appearance of these is what's seen in the image currently assigned
to Light Green, and sales data also shows sellers listing it as Trans-Light Green

4297034 should be added to whatever 4583979 is. They are identical.

Images for "Bright Green" and "Trans-Green" depict the part in

Image for "Trans-Neon Green" and "Trans-Bright Green" depict

| Despite only appearing in one set in 2004, at least 23 other parts exist in this
color. Since 2019, 18 of these have been seen, many of which are sourced from
LEGOLAND model shops. In 2023 alone, thousands of plates have been listed as
‘Light Orange’ and ‘Very Light Orange’, despite not being either of those colors.

This color also comes in 3021, 2357, 44237, and 3794a.
The lack of a Warm Yellowish Orange makes it very difficult to know what color
you’re getting from sellers, especially since many of these parts also come in
Scala Light Orange and Very Light Orange, the latter of which is also showing
up at various LEGOLAND PAB walls alongside Warm Yellowish Orange.
is the only production part in this color.
Every part in the aforementioned list has its own element number that can be
added to the site. This color should be added as Warm Yellowish Orange.

| Please change the category "Dragon Knights" to "Dragon Masters".
While both names have been used, "Dragon Masters" is the more common
and well-known; additionally, "Dragon Knights" is the name of the Kingdoms
faction, so I would like to avoid confusion.
Also, please merge the categories "Lion Knights" and "Crusaders";
they are the same faction. "Crusaders" was the first official name (with
Lion Knights being the colloquial name for the earlier sets of the same faction),
though "Lion Knights" has now been canonised via the Lion Knights'
Castle.

| Item 55824c01 has three other part numbers on it that may be useful for finding
it. Battery cover is 56451, sword is 56452, and electronic component (light +
battery holder) is 55823. None of these part numbers currently have a result,
and I'm too new to BrickLink to know how to suggest these changes.

| Why is this part under the Bar category:
but this very similar one is (rightfully so) under Projectile Launcher?
Meanwhile both of their respective bricks are under Projectile Launcher:
Also, how come there aren't relationships that match projectiles with their
compatible launchers, and vice versa? I feel like that would be useful.

| Hello,
I recently came across an item in a bulk buy that matches both of the following
descriptions:
Cloth Picnic Tablecloth / Blanket with Red Checkered Pattern, 16280
Duplo, Cloth Blanket 6 x 6 with Red Checkered Pattern, blankie05pb01
In trying to narrow down which version I have, I contacted a few sellers (thank
you to everyone who responded to me!), and, long story short, these two items
appear to be identical. The 12.5 stud x 12.5 stud dimensions of the 16280 are
based on regular Lego studs, while the 6 stud x 6 stud dimensions of blankie05pb01
are based on Duplo studs.
Further investigation into the measurements indicate that they are the same,
and the patterns appears to match as well.
I believe these two entries are the same item, and I would like your input if
this is correct.
Thank you,
Dennis

| I can't believe the BL catalog is how I find out scientists have discovered
some land-dwelling species of otter
Seriously though, shouldn't they be under Animal, Water? Their habitat classifications
range from semiaquatic to marine.

| For set could you add a note similar to the one in set
"Instructions did not come in the set package but only as separate sheet
in a magazine"
I believe I was the one who added the instructions to the catalog for the set.
Most foil pack sets don't have instructions in the catalog since they are
an integrated part of the magazine and not a separate sheet. As I recall, this
may have been because the set was a 'bonus' second set (a second time
around) in a later magazine, so the instructions were inserted as a loose sheet
in the magazine. In retrospect maybe it was a bad idea to add the instructions
to the catalog.
Alternatively to adding the note, maybe the instructions for the set should just
be removed to keep it consistent with the other 99% of the foil packs.

| Here are my thoughts on and .
It's very hard to see the actual color of the bottom of the black part in
the current picture, but it doesn't look opaque to me. More like semi-transparent,
possibly Milky White. Not a single one of the 104 sellers have uploaded a photo
of the part to actually show that it's opaque.
All the ones with opaque bottom that I have seen have red bottoms, and they are
all early CA bricks with old logo. All transparent bottoms that I have seen are
ABS bricks with new logo.
So I do not believe there exists a black version with opaque bottom. Just more
or less transparent ones. See examples from my collection in attached image.
I therefore suggest that either
1) the black photo is removed and the part is renamed to "Brick, Modified
2 x 4 with Wheels Holder, Red Bottom"
2) a new part created with the name "Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Wheels Holder,
Red Bottom" and the current part marked for deletion.
Please advise.
/Jan
