| Hi,
I was parting out a used set of and there are some counterparts missing
from the BL catalog.
Since I have them, I thought it might be a good idea to add them to the catalog.
But I'm kind of stuck on how to give them a proper name.
I have absolutely no idea what those stickers are supposed to represent.
Can someone give me a hint?

Comments from Submitter:
I checked with the official model and checked the parts used in the instructions and these parts have different quantities than the ones specified in the inventory
|
All of these pieces are needed to build the alternate model shown in the second
instruction manual that was included with the set:
https://www.lego.com/biassets/bi/4183117.pdf
The quantities of these pieces were also verified by the data in the LEGO replacement
parts system.
Since the inventory is correct concerning all of these parts, these requests
will not be accepted.
Cheers,
Randy

found variants during part out, thanks
|
We were unaware of both of these newer variants when I inventoried the set and
I didn't keep any pieces. I would support just replacing them, as it is
likely they were always the newer ones. If someone finds the old ones we could
always add them back.
|
I would have said so as well, but I actually found both variants of each part
during the part out process.
|
Oh.. I mean, yeah, I was totally in control the whole time.

These weights are intended to refer to a factory-sealed set. The weight includes
the outer packaging (meaning the box) and all contents therein.
If you click on the Instructions Entry tab for that set, you'll see that
the three instructions booklets combined weigh 337 grams. The empty box itself
is reported to weigh 576 grams (although I wonder a bit about that weight).

Many thanks for your reply.
BTW I just picked that set because it was one of my fave SW ships/sets

should be an option to sort from highest to lowest price and vice versa. A benefit

but I don’t want to pay a lot, I could just sort the entire Ninjago minifigure
category from lowest to highest price and select the first cool villain I find,
which is obviously the cheapest because of how it would be sorted. It would make
it a lot easier than searching through a bunch of characters and writing down
all the prices. I have added a picture of where this should go in the catalogue.
I hope you consider my suggestion.

| This should had been addressed when these parts started to appear first back
in 2014. Problem with many images is that it's hard to tell if they are MCM
or SCM, especially with the digital images replacing actual images. That being
said, this needs to happen sooner than later. It's an important classification
that affects those that need to know or care.
|
I've added this to the roadmap because there is more involved here than just
identifying and retitling MCM parts. It's the most recent project added
(end of the list):
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2476
Our goal is to get through one project every month. This is not an overly complicated
project, so hopefully it will happen relatively soon. I would suggest this to
anyone reading: begin working on compiling a list of MCM parts so that when we
begin the project we can breeze through it quickly.
|
Thank you for adding this to the roadmap. It will be a great asset in the catalogue
and sounds the like MCM acronym is sticking. As some of the parts get identified,
I imagine some entries will need to be changed to "a" and "b" during the transition
that happened in 2014, like the Friends legs that I identified. I also see the
dark blue legs with tan and dark shoes has probably more to do with the original
intent being tan, which looks tan with MCM, but look dark tan when tan color
is applied to dark blue mold, as you can see in my photo here: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=851619
with printed color
with MCM
