Yes...

9780241314227 is Hardback
9781465467140 is Paperback

Are you certain about that?
Does anyone have a paperback edition?

Suggests there must be, no idea what that would be.

The Hardcover however is normally the more expensive.

Book No: 9781465467140 Name: The LEGO Book New Edition: with exclusive LEGO brick
*
9781465467140 (Inv) The LEGO Book New Edition: with exclusive LEGO brick
Books: Informational Book

Variation has different id number, see photo's.

If you read the text at the bottom of the current catalog image, it says "NOT
FINALLY APPROVED BY LICENSOR - FOR SALES MATERIAL ONLY"

That makes me think that the current catalog image is a prototype image and not
the actual book cover that made it to publishing.

Cheers,
Randy

That could be it, but where does the different number come from? Is that also
related to a prototype?

For some reason I can find two versions on a popular Dutch online store. The
description seems to be nearly identical, but the price is not...

I got the original image off S@H USA, which was where it was officially for sale
in October, though not any longer. The ISBN number is from Amazon USA, and they
are still using the same number, no difference at all. I'll order one from
Amazon in the USA as soon as possible after I've received the local version,
which will be a UK import, currently on back-order. Might be that both S@H USA
and Amazon USA used the publisher's information initially.

Does anyone know if they are readily available anywhere/everywhere ?

I have the chance to buy others but that may not be possible after tomorrow.

The bricks don't seem to be listed yet.

Would this pack count as a set? For sale at a retail store. Or, if not, would
the figs count as a catalog entry?

They contain many unique elements.
