With the edit order button on the orders received page you can change the payment
status as none and the order status to ready.
Then you can add the costs and send the invoice

  Hi All,

I ordered parts from a well known seller in the US and paid by paypal. It was
shipped by USPS with tracking. Package hasn't been scanned since 18 may,
so that's not good.

When I contacted the seller, he referred to his TOS where he stated that he
is not responsible for lost packages.

Well I think (read know) he is because he's an official seller so (at least
in Europe not sure how it is in the US) a seller is responsible for the delivery
of the goods. And secondly he accepted a payment by paypal so he is bound to
paypal terms.

What are you're thoughts about this ? Can a seller put in terms which are
against the law ? Should BL make an general TOS where all sellers are bound
too ? should I read his terms and not place the order ?

I sent two international packages from Chicago on May 26. Neither one has been
scanned since the 30th when they left my local post office. I wouldn't declare
your package lost just yet. Things are very, very slow right now.

On the other hand, your seller should be working with you at this point, not
denying responsibility.

I wish more buyers would stop shopping at stores that publicly say they won't
help their customers. There is nothing illegal in the US about their terms. It's
just not good business.

Somebody posted a video within the last week about some ebay or amazon sellers
complaining about USPS being slow lately. I would just wait another 3-4 weeks
before starting a paypal claim. Your package is probably on its way, just delayed.

Five weeks since the last scan sounds long, but given that it's an international
order it might still be OK. I would wait a bit longer before starting a PayPal
dispute - and yes, you're correct that the seller is responsible for the
delivery. That's not necessarily true in the US, but it's certainly true
for PayPal.

The 18th of May isn't very long for an international order from America.
And the scanning doesn't get updated very often for international orders.

You are impatient, I understand that. What class of service was the package ?
If it was sent Registered, it will take a very long time to reach you. Tell us
more about the tracking number.

Is it stuck at USPS Chicago? I've had to wait over a month for any package
to leave that facility.

Irregardless, you can contact the courier and have them open up a missing item
inquiry with the tracking number. That way you still know whether or not it's
on it's way before deciding anything further.

You've 180 days to start a dispute on the PayPal website.

It's already in the TOS.

They can't do that; they are responsible for the package until it arrives
to the customer. Like alex said, someone can write whatever they want to in their
store terms, but if those terms don't follow the laws, then they're null
and void.

Paypal will most likely side with you if the seller won't cooperate.

If he's not going to help then it sounds like you need to start a paypal
claim,

People can write whatever they want in their terms - if they go against bricklink/paypal/local
laws then it's just a waste of their time!

Hello,
can somebody confirm the Quote Request form for UK works correctly?

I have next Quote request form UK and issue is here again. In attachment you
can see two screenshots - first shows numbers in the Quote received overview
page, second shows Quote detail page. As you can see Grand Total is different
for same Quote. There is twice counted UK VAT on the Order detail page, unfortunately
this wrong number is used for message to Customer as well.

Any advice or help?
Thank you.

In Help, TDH_Bricks writes:
  Hello,
it looks like the Quote Request form for UK RFQs is not working correctly. I
have similar issue on 2 quotes already.

The first issue is I can add shipping costs only once and no further change or
add of additional costs is possible. All results in to following message: This
Quote can not be updated because all numbers had been updated already.

In addition, the Quote calculation is different in the line on the list of all
Quotes Received page and on the Quote details page. Here is an example:

Calculation in the line of the list of all Quotes Received page is correct and
shows:
Order Total: 1,384.88
Shipping: 433.12
Final Total: 1,818.00
Tax BL collected: 363.60
Grand Total: 2,181.60

In case I go to Quote detail page I can see following:
Item Total: 1,384.88
Shipping: 433.12
Est. United Kingdom VAT: 363.60
Grand Total: 2,545.20 (!!!!!)

As you can see the GRAND TOTAL is different. For Quote to Buyer is used the wrong
number from Quote detail page. It looks like the UK VAT is calculated twice there.

Any idea what to do with this?
Thanks in adavance for any help.

100% used complete - with a note that bags 2 and 3 are still new and sealed.

I have (or had) a couple of sets listed in this way.

Everything in bag one could have been put together with the seller taking (most)

Still mulling over which way to go. Here are two examples of the same set posted
either way:
New complete: https://store.bricklink.com/eprespite?itemID=244080375
Used complete: https://store.bricklink.com/Grobxk?itemID=141310691

Some of the pieces in your set were put together - they're used, so the set
in general is used. If the bag were merely opened, but the pieces never put together,
then I think you could list it as New.

The second example you posted is actually not complete.

"a few pieces put together" means it's used.

How would you list this set: New, Complete or Used?

I bought a set from another marketplace, it was complete with three bags, instructions,
stickers and box. Bag one was opened and the minidolls built (friends set) and
a few pieces put together, but mostly all apart in mint condition. Bags 2 and
3 are still sealed. Sticker sheet and instructions are in new condition. I verified
bag one is complete with instructions. So 3/4ths of the set is new and the other
I would normally classify as used.

About 1/3 of the time the BL refund system throws up an error and won't process
the refund. At first I would simply re-submit and keep trying until the refund
finally went through. But, sometimes PP has pushed the refund, but BL doesn't
see that it has been accepted and continues to throw up errors all while refunding
the money over, and over, and over again. Now I try once and if I get an error
I go straight to PP and issue the refund through their system. I don't always
remember the tax issue, so hopefully this thread will help keep that top of mind
for me.

+1 - What they said.

BL refund process is virtually useless as it only works when the moon is blue
and Lego is having a 90% off sale.

I agree though that if sellers are refunding directly you should not be at the
loss of the sales tax / VAT.

You have to let the proce3ss run its course. 7 days before you complete the NPB
to cancel it, if the delinquent does not communicate or pay. 14 day if they communicate.
After that, complete the NPB and cancel the order. Then leave feedback to warn
others. They delinquent can leave feed back for the first day but it will get
wiped and the ability to do so blocked by the system automatically.

I leave negative feedback against the buyer without them replying likewise? Basically,
does a completed NPB stop a buyer from leaving feedback?

Thanks in advance!

[…] BL's payment timeframe for buyers is long (I think it's too long). […]

It’s long if you use an instant payment method (like PayPal, Stripe, or some
SEPA bank transfers).
It’s not so long if you use other methods, like a “standard” bank transfer for
instance.

Say, you order / are invoiced Friday night, the transfer won’t happen, on your
side, before Monday (because, even though no human being but you and the seller
will ever touch it, it’s how old banking works), and it will at best arrive on
the seller’s side 2 days after that, that’s Wednesday, 5 days after the invoice,
which is the day the seller can file an NPB¹.
And it migth take a bit longer, e.g. if you need to go make the transfer in person
or with a (rightly named) bank holiday somewhen.

¹ Time before filing has been reduced to 5 days, according to an old forum post….

(Or you could send the money to the seller’s old bank account because your bank
memorized it and you’re dumb as a plank.  As, happily, that older account is
closed, the transfer is rejected but you’re not warned of that before the usual
2-3 days delay, and you need to send it again.  Add a week-end in between and
you easily reach 8 days.  Yes, it happens.  It happened to me, not two weeks
ago )

After completing an NPB it always looks like the buyers feedback has been removed.
In most cases this is just the way the Bricklinksystem handles this, it is just
Bricklinks way of showing that no feedback can be given anymore. Confusing but
it is like that.

I didn't feel like leaving a negative feedback to them since the NPB had
already completed and I felt it was enough. I saw that they already received
an NPB a while ago because another seller left negative feedback but it felt
like double jeopardy to me so I didn't want to pile on publicly.

If you think a negative is too harsh, at least leave a neutral. BL's payment
timeframe for buyers is long (I think it's too long). If a buyer still doesn't
pay after all that time has passed a feedback ding is warranted.

The NPB process + feedback is to weed out bad buyers and to warn others.
By completing the NPB and leaving feedback you're helping the community.
You're not helping a bad buyer by letting him get away with it.
Because of softness other sellers will have to go through the trouble too.

Yes, if the NPB process is completed correctly.

Or “accepted” (NPX).

The removal is done during the daily maintenance and, IIRC, the feedback shows
as “removed” even if the buyer never left one.

IIRC, the buyer can leave it but it will get removed automatically. But the NPB
must be completed.

Thank you so much.

Still don't know why they are not on My Inventory Page.

Okay here is one for you.

I was looking at our mini figures on the "My Inventory page" and noticed that
the number of items listed is not what we have in the store.

I went into the mini figure in the search and pulled it up and they are showing
that they are for sale in our store. Does anyone know why they would not be
in the total of our inventory. I actually have 13 just in Castle that are not
showing on the My Inventory Page.

Can some one go into the store "A Leg Up" and see if we have 5 - CAS048 mini
figures for sale.

Barbara

I just did,
They are in two different lots, 1 and 4 so 5 total.
