As I keep my inventory in a custom database which uses the BL parts and categories
as core data, I was wondering if there is a way to download the "Item Relationships"
as a CSV file.
Currently I am working on a way to complete MOCs from my existing inventory.
This means I load a "wanted list" for the MOC into my system and then I get an
output of which of my lots match the items on that list. As my inventory is carefully
maintained reflecting all part variants I only get the exact same part into my
list. For my MOCs I do often not care which part I am using.
E.g. if I have some

Part No: 92950 Name: Arch 1 x 6 Raised Arch
*
92950 Arch 1 x 6 Raised Arch
Parts: Arch
on my wanted list, it would be nice to show also
the

Part No: 3455  Name: Arch 1 x 6
*
3455 Arch 1 x 6
Parts: Arch
I might have in my inventory.

To implement this functionality I would like to use the BL Item Relationship
"Similar Parts with Different Molds".
Unfortunately I cannot find a way to download this information as raw data.
Any Idea other than entering these manually?

Thank you very much!

Jan

This colors not really exist anywhere...

It is used in watch links. For some reason, those are considered to be gear and
not parts, so they are not shown in the parts column.

10404-1 (Inv) Ocean's Bottom
571 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2018
Sets: Building Bigger Thinking

* Add 1 Part 553b Lime Brick, Round 2 x 2 Dome Top - Blocked Open Stud with Bottom Axle Holder x Shape + Orientation (Alternate) (match ID 1)
* Change 2 Part Lime 553c Brick, Round 2 x 2 Dome Top - Hollow Stud with Bottom Axle Holder x Shape + Orientation {match ID 0 to 1}

Comments from Submitter:
My copy of this set contains one 553c and one 553b.

Just realized I entered a quantity of 1 for the alternate when it could theoretically
be 2. On second thought not sure if my case counts as a valid part variation
at all?

It definitely does count as a valid part variation.

Could you please post a picture of the two pieces from the undersides for future
reference? Since 553b has not been reported in a set for a few years now, it
seems odd to see this part variation pop up again.

Also, was your copy of this set purchased as a sealed set, opened by yourself,
and the pieces of it not mixed with any other sets?

Thanks,
Randy

716 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 2 Books, 4 Gear, 2003
Sets: Educational & Dacta: Technic: eLAB

* Add 1 Part 3857 Light Gray Baseplate 16 x 32

Comments from Submitter:
Although the Light Gray 3857 is not shown on either Organizer Card, it is clearly shown and utilized in one of the instruction booklets (with the windmill on the cover). I have just come across a set which appears as new and it does contain the Light Gray 3857

Are you sure it is not shown on your organizer cards? Because one of the organizer
cards for this set in the BrickLink database clearly shows the baseplate in the
background of the card (see attached image where red arrow was added by me).

In any case, request approved.

Cheers,
Randy

   How would you recommend selling a complete set of CMFs?

Personally, I would do what these other sellers have done and list the whole
set under the random entry. As long as you describe things clearly in your notes,
buyers will understand that they are paying for a whole set. This is one of those
areas where the average prices must be deduced from scanning listings or sold
listings instead of the calculated averages.

It is a shame that the site cannot do something and step in and help sellers
and buyers here, by realising what they need. Some people want to sell and buy
complete series. I thought the primary goal of bricklink was to enable sales
of LEGO, so adding a "complete series" for each CMF or similar series would work
well for those people. Does it really matter that they were never sold that way
by LEGO? If need be, this information could always be added as a note to a complete
series entry.

+1

It's about time!

Here you go. Let's try it out.

Set No: 41775 Name: Character, Unikitty!, Series 1 (Complete Random Set of 1 Character)
*
41775-1 (Inv) Character, Unikitty!, Series 1 (Complete Random Set of 1 Character)
1 Set, 2018
Sets: Unikitty!: Unikitty! Series 1

Set No: 41775 Name: Character, Unikitty!, Series 1 (Complete Series of 12 Complete Character Sets)
*
41775-2 (Inv) Character, Unikitty!, Series 1 (Complete Series of 12 Complete Character Sets)
12 Sets, 2018
Sets: Unikitty!: Unikitty! Series 1

Let me know if you think the random one needs a big question mark placed over
it. If people like this entry and use it, we'll go ahead and add the others.

Hi Russell,
I've updated the Rebrickable Unikitty Series entry, 41775-13, to link to
this new BrickLink entry. Just checked the Rebrickable link on Bricklink 41775-2.
It needs to be corrected to link to 41775-13 at Rebrickable.

Hopefully this type of Bricklink entry will be applied to the other CMF series.
If you add anymore, please message me so I can correct the links from Rebrickable.

Thanks,

Thea
