Your (personal and group) work on the inventories is highly appreciated. You
can verify I have already contributed several times when I could but for me to
contribute more, you’ll have to send me free sets to inventory.
Anyway, we, users, don’t have any way to change “2 x 2 x 1 in studs” to “2 studs
x 2 studs x 1 brick.”
|
I am ok with the above if it were labeled as 'Logical Dimensions'. What
appears to missing here is the 'Physical Dimensions', i.e. the specific
numbers in metric measurement. Before you tell me how easy it is to convert,
it's not. The above examples illustrate the problem.

When I look at the catalog page for I see 'Size: 2 x 2 x 1 in studs'
When I look at the dimensions in a catalog XML file I see (for both) …
ITEMDIMX 2 /ITEMDIMX
ITEMDIMY 2 /ITEMDIMY
ITEMDIMZ 1 /ITEMDIMZ
When I look at the values beneath an actual listed lot (3003) I see: 16mm 11.2mm
16mm
When I look at the values beneath an actual listed lot (3437) I see: 32mm 23.6mm

Remember that LEGO bricks are measured in lego studs, whereas Duplo bricks are
measured in duplo studs. So while both are 2x2x1 in studs, they are measured
in different stud units.
The metric m.easurements make sense, as the duplo piece is 2x bigger in all dimensions
than the LEGO brick.

All you say is correct and makes sense. But IC does not use studs, it (apparently)
is using mm, and those values are being obscured from view. Why ?

They are described as Statuette, all of them, so it easier to type this word
to the search box than part number
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?q=statuette
and if you serch by name Statuette you will find second mold:
so it is better to remember this name than part number.
| because searching by model number as showen above will make it hard when other
models expand the family like for example the black SW soldiers comming in 2018
or the mini vader and so on
|
This is the second mold, see above and if you try to call it "black SW soldiers"
Harry Potter fans will argue with you because black one was used recently as
Dementor in Harry Potter set
and trans light blue was Palpatine hologram
.. I just want them in one simple category like we
| have everything. Why should I have to search the model numbers first nad even
there will be many and who knows if I even find them all. Simple sollution is
to make a group for them and add them to the minifigure section. They clearly
represent minifigures in a micro version. Even as utesil it´s fine as long as
they can be filtered all at once.
|
So they can be filtered all at onec use word "Statuette"
|
Oh nice thanks for the hint "Statuette" I would have never guessed this ..
it´s also the problem right? and I am a LEGO builder for over 20 years ...
this part category/name/description has space for improvement as I think it will
get very popular with more sets including them and soon I think they can form
a wide range of micro figures and lots of MOCs will include them (the very reason
I need them too - armies of them).

LEGO stopped producing Brown in 2006 as you will see in the color chart via the
link provided in the first answer. Both Green and Bright Green are still in
production and are considered distinct colors. Bright Green is not a replacement
to Green like Reddish Brown was to Brown.

Those parts are called stickered counterparts. You can find some of them for

To add them to your store inventory as official parts you would need to first
add them to the BrickLink catalog. Otherwise, you may sell them as custom items.

That's kind of you, but I do still have the one I used to make the catalog
entry. I found it in a new Duplo set from around that same time.
No instructions for the set, though? The set has an instructions entry. If
it didn't come with instructions, which certainly seems likely to have been
the case, then we need to get rid of the instructions entry for the set.
There's one seller with instructions for sale right now, but that was likely
from blindly parting out the set.
|
Yeah, no instructions. And what would the instructions say? You can't build
anything out of this without a tub of bricks.
|
The instructions entry has been removed.

Hi
yes, that's possible, just add it to the catalog.
Start here: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogImageAdd.page?itemType=I
Only: did it came in the first version from 2005?
Or only in the 2008 version?
Or in both versions?
What's the date on your sheet? And what is the code printed?
It looks like there were more sets with extra sheets at that time
check here set 7248 with the extra info on the instructionspage:

OK Jangbricks video review confirms your findings

I didn't look at the set review, but I can confirm that the set was sealed
when I parted it out.
I sold the older version of that part a couple of days ago, and when I went to
find it, I had the newer version.
Which is why I said that I'd 'worked it out', because I didn't
have that part new within my inventory, and the only set that it came from was
the one I'd parted out.
But, anyway, you've just confirmed it, and I was able to get the correct
version from my unbuilt UCS Slave one, to ensure that my customer got the correct
version.

I bet part 47994 never appeared in this set. Keeping it in the regular items
section is probably unwarrented.

They look squared off in that video review to me. I don't know why you are
seeing differently. The last time I saw 47994 in a set was a few years ago, before
the 2015 Ninjago waves came out.
Randy
|
Yes I was blind this time. Agreed an I corrected it. Now only part 19159 is in
inventory and old one has been deleted. Last appearance of 47994 is 2015 in database
now.

You are correct that this isn't consistent. However, BrickHeadz should
not be in the set names, as the catalog doesn't normally include the theme
name in front of the official set name. Thanks for pointing out the inconsistency.

Being from a sealed set, this suggests that the parts are Light Bluish Gray.
Just not very colour consistent ones. Although it is strange that a number of
different parts all have the same off-colour. Maybe it has been stored in a strange
way and those parts have all bleached slightly but consistently.

No, it’s not Very Light Gray, nor Very LBG, because very few parts were made
with these colours:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&colorPart=49
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&colorPart=99
IMHO, it’s just a light batch of LBG: not enough dye in the plastic.
TLG’s quality control doesn’t care much about colours

I just opened a sealed set 9470, released in 2012. There seem to be two shades

Light Bluish Gray but the parts look more like Pearl Light Gray. Any idea? Thanks.

I understand we have a real fan here and that's good you ask. The set: LEGO®

be a bit boring news but I advise you not to buy the product. We do not sell

I could only add one of them, my friend. The other is still pending if you wish
to cancel it. I added 6180pb113R directly.
Thank you, by the way, for adding these 100+ counterparts to various sets today.
I know it was plenty of work and it is appreciated.

The known colors are those which appear in an inventory. There are colors for
many parts which were never officially released and thus do not appear in inventories.
The unreleased colors can still be bought and sold, which is why they appear
in the price guide and in items for sale.

| Hi
can someone explain me why there is a difference, when i look at part 3004 for
example, beetween the colours in the price guide column and the "known colours"
column?
In my opinion, there should be more colours (or egal number) in the known colours
columnthan in the price guide info. It looks like some colours are unknown but
stores are selling them...
May be the answer could be that the known colours column is not update... If
someone can help me,thank you.

Otherwise, those windows with extended lip have glass. The glass of small windows
like 27, 29 is not fixed. In (about) 1980, there were no more glass on 27, 29
but 31 kept its glass (in 7760,...).
The lip is the lowest part below the glass. If you hold the window up-right,
the lip is extended further than the rest or body. So you cannot build anything
just in front of window as the lip wouldn't allow. (but TLG didn't care
about this as nobody would want to cover a window)

| | They are described as Statuette, all of them, so it easier to type this word
to the search box than part number
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?q=statuette
and if you serch by name Statuette you will find second mold:
so it is better to remember this name than part number.

That works fine while there is only one other type of statuette, but if many
more are made then part numbers are useful. Also you need to recall it is called
a stauette on BL, along with the bricklink names of many other parts. The official
lego part name is "MINI FIGURE TROPHY" (along with "No. XX" for the printed ones).
It is a shame that the official lego name cannot be attached to the parts too.

| The lip is the base of the window, effectively the external window sill, triangular
in shape and protrudes more on some versions earning the extended lip classification.
Much easier to see if you have both versions.

|

A bit confusing. It's either a "minifig" or a "minifig, utensil" depending
on what it is used in the set. I can see the blank unprinted statuette as the
latter. But the printed ones should be under "Minifig" in my opinion.
|
I agree it is confusing, but then some of them are used as characters, whereas
others are, for example, representing toys (minifigures). So we have a trophy-fig
representing a character and it is a minifig, whereas another trophy-fig representing
a minfiigure is not a minifigure!
I think the NASA Astronaut in particular is characterised incorrectly. These
represent people (just not named) so should be minifigures.
It would be easier if all microfigs (the game pieces) got their own category
and all trophy figs or whatever else people want to call them, also get their
own.
Until that happens, searching by the part number with an asterisk is the simplest
way to see them all.
