Set No: 7674 Name: V-19 Torrent
*
7674-1 (Inv) V-19 Torrent
467 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2008
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars The Clone Wars

* Change {1 to 2} Part Yellow 40490 Technic, Liftarm 1 x 9 Thick

Comments from Submitter:
You require 2x of the Yellow Technic Lift Arm,one for each wing.

This liftarm is only used to keep parts lined up during assembly. When one wing
is built, the liftarm is removed and used for the other wing. Then the liftarm
is removed again. See images below.

This is incorrect. There is only one of these lift arms in the set. The lift
arm is only used as a support while the engines are being built on each side
of the model. When the first engine is built, it is attached to the engine sides
for support with two black Technic pins. One step later, the pins and lift arm
scaffold is shown in the instructions being removed from the engine after it
is securely attached to the main model. This process is repeated for the second
engine using the *same* pins and lift arm scaffold. After the model is complete,
the pins and lift arm are not attached to the model in any way.

Cheers,
Randy

Hopefully, the BL team can find a solution that works for a variety of users.
In the meantime, I was able to block the intrusive things with Adblock Element
Hiding Helper on Firefox.

Thanks for this tip!
Do you have a solution for mobile? On mobile the problem is the most prevalent.

No, I don't. I browse with my right hand on the mouse, not on the keyboard.
I tend to use buttons all over the page when browsing, so keeping my right hand
on the mouse appears to be the best way for me.

Interesting...I use these keys with my left hand, but I am extremely fond of
keyboard shortcuts.

The little arrow on the eBay pages does not cover up any content on the site.
Navigation aids are all well and good (especially for mobile devices) but covering
actual content with them is as bad as any pop-up ad in my opinion.

Honestly, I wonder which screens are actually affected - I do not even use full
HD screens (but 1680x1050 on two different computers) and nothing* is covered
when I brwose the site...

I always have at least 3 or 4 windows open so I have them side by side on my
screen. I couldn't work without this! It is also a pain when using my tablet
for inventory work.

Hopefully, the BL team can find a solution that works for a variety of users.

Take care,

*I just noticed an exception: when browsing a store, the green "Add Items to
Cart" button is indeed covered for a moment if I do not scoll to the very end
of the page.
That's stupid, of course - and should have been spotted by this "world class
development team" before implementation, no excuse.

The most frustration I have is browsing a store, "Help" and "To Top" is located
on top of "add to cart" QTY box. I lost my selected items because I accidentally
clicked "help" instead of the "add to cart" QTY box to add items to purchase.

In a nutshell, this "Help" and "To Top" is causing problems for one of the important
tasks on this website. Add items to your cart to purchase items.

You obviously have not tried any mobile devices then.

For every longer page (and there are many of these - just browse the catalog
in the "List with Images" view, 200 items per page to reduce page loading cycles),
it's indeed very helpful. In addition, it's no opt-out feature at eBay,
and I do not see anyone complaining about this anywhere... just a thought.

I've seen the "To Top" floating button when in stores and found it to be
only mildly annoying, but now it seems to be in the lower right of EVERY screen
along with a "Help" button. There is already a link to "Help" at the bottom
of every page, why do we need another one (that moves around no less)? Additionally,
I think I can manage manually scrolling to the top of my home screen without
the aid of a bow and arrow.

Is this a recent change or have I just not noticed it before? Do we have to
have these controls that hover and move around on the screen erratically? It's
especially frustrating on a small mobile screen--it's just clutter.

Can we drop them or at least have an option in our settings to turn them off?

I seem to be the only one who likes this "to top" floating button, I liked it
from the first day eBay introduced it and have missed it here since that day.

I agree that the option to switch this on/off might please everyone - but we
already have tons of settings to understand by new users, even most established
users don't even know all of them.

The "help" link is a different thing, imho - it (only) belongs to the top right
(and has to include an easy way to the TOS and all help pages properly indexed)
and to the bottom where it can already be found.

I hate it and it is useless. Especially if you accidently hit it when scrolling
down an order you are packing. Bang right back at the top.
Seriously who thinks of these things? It covers up everything and makes it hard
to even order from another store if one wants to buy the last item on the page.
Have to scroll up just to get rid of the scroll up icon. Trying to help new
users does not mean new users are idiots. I think they know what a scroll bar
is for.
Get rid of it.

Connie

I have the same opinion as Conny: PLEASE GET RID OF IT!
