What does it look like inside? Are there inner walls with round holes through
them as though it were drilled, or is there something else going on?

I've taken a picture of what the inside looks like. There are 8 sets of "walls"
that go up against each other - one coming from the top part of the brick, one
coming from the bottom. My guess is that they're glued together. There is
is one set of walls under each stud.

I split one of my old 7049b's today, and it's clear to me that they're
not the same inside. And 3907c has tubes inside, so it's not that either.
Because both top and bottom of my brick look official, my best guess is that
it's a prototype.

I don't know where I got it from, but my best guess it that it was in a box
of 6 kilos of used bricks I bought a couple of months ago. That box had approx.
1000 yellow minifig heads without print (and only a few other minifig parts)
and 72 blue left doors without a single right one, and around 500 maxifig parts
(heads/torsos/arms/hands but almost no hair/hats). So I bet those parts originally
came directly from the factory in Billund, and that white brick could have been
in that mix.

/Jan

Maybe this is the same one (without bottom and holes in the sides)?
Out of Billund too...

Thanks - I hadn't realised that could be the case.

When you go into the inventory for a set, there is another drop down where you
can adjust the "view". Here if you select "Break Minifigure", it will add all
the minifig parts to the inventory list as well. Good thing to remember when
you run into sets with brick built minifigs and such.

Part 53984 in pearl light gray is listed as appearing in sets 8101 and 8112.
But it doesn't appear in those inventory lists.

Ditto for Part 53988 in pearl light gray.

Part 53989 in light pearl gray is listed as appearing in set 8112. But the inventory
listing for that set shows only black 53989.

  Hi,

I recently had a feed back from a customer of mine who complains about the suitcases

He told me that one of them had the LEGO LOGO.
I checked the 7 suitcases in my inventory and just 4 of them had ref and logo.
Except that, they are strictly the same.
Does anyone have any information about those parts without ref and LEGO logo
?

Best regards

Older production 4449 do not have LEGO LEGO. Same goes for a large number of
old LEGO parts. Especially when talking about minifig head/hair pieces, minifig
accessories, or just small parts in general.

This is a case where customer is definitely not right. Good luck though.

Per the BL rules these do not qualify as they would be large assemblies. See
below:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=71

Items that should not be added to the catalog:
Rule 10:
Large part assemblies. - Large assemblies of parts that can be built into figures,
vehicles, or other structures often comprise a substantial portion of a set and
should not be added to the catalog. An exception has been made in the past for
some DUPLO vehicles representing fictional characters and some other large assemblies
with the Item Number prefix "spa" which were added as experiment.

Thank you.

You can add inventory for the torso assembly in much the same way as other inventories.
On the Catalog Add or Change screen, you want to select Add Inventory for a Part.
You can then enter the torso assembly ID number (973pb4539c01) and Number of
Entries is 3 in this case.
Go to Step 2 and enter the relevant data.

Yeah, I was trying to do this yesterday and it wasn't letting it go through
telling me it couldn't be inventoried. Either way, it worked now so maybe
something just had to sync up. It's in now. Thanks

I went to add an inventory for the torso assembly after it was added to the catalog,
but it says that inventory is N/A. Do I need to make a request to open this
up. I know it's minimal to put the torso, arms and hands together, but it
appears the rest of the set and minifig are online now and I just wanted to finish
it off.

N/A here just means "Not Available" (it hasn't been inventoried yet) rather
than "Not Applicable" (which typically refers to colors).

Although other dragons, whether named or not, such as Smaug and the castle dragon
are animals.

Nice complement though, especially with the hollow stud.

Yeah, the hollow stud is more of interest to me than the height.

Is it actually hollow, or is it open? The name says "open", which suggests you
can push a bar straight through.

Niek.

It's completely open.

Agree, this would have been awesome for building and inventory of that set.
Over 200+ 1x1 plates in multiple colors included. Hopefully it will be more
widely used in the near future.

Yeah, I'm baffled why they didn't use this for Sonic. Seems like a very
good opportunity wasted.

I think I'm missing something here. Maybe I'm not in the right location.

The link used to be called small images in the past, but it is now called color

that is a list with all the PCC's

Whoops! Thanks for clarifying and explaining about the link.

Maybe one day I will get the Small Image term out of my head.

You can add the minifigure first, then add the new parts, then add the minifigure
inventory,

  3) For the main set, do I add the minifig to the set inventory then? How do
you make this association of the minifig to the set itself?

Yes - the minifigure (but not its parts*) should be added to the set inventory.

*Extra parts (e.g. an extra visor) should be added to the set inventory,
as well as any minifigure accessories that aren't part of the actual minifigure
build as shown in the instructions. For example, if the character wears a helmet
in the build, the hair (if any) should be part of the set inventory. Extra
minifigure parts go in the set's extras.

Next set of questions. I'm working on the Sonic Minifigure which is new
as well.

1) Do I inventory the head, torso and legs individually and then add them to
an inventory for the minifig like you would a set?

2) The minifigure add page is much different than the parts page with the categories.
I'm thinking I should have (cat 1: Lego Ideas (CUUSOO), cat 2: Sonic the
Hedgehog)? Is this correct?

3) For the main set, do I add the minifig to the set inventory then? How do
you make this association of the minifig to the set itself?

I think I'm missing something here. Maybe I'm not in the right location.
I've attached an image for the part, but can't find the button or link
you are referring to.

The link used to be called small images in the past, but it is now called color
images. Click on that and you'll see images of the part in all colors. Below
that is a list with all the PCC's

Perfect, thank you. Still so much that I'm learning here.

I made quite a loud fuss when they buried that link since it is super valuable
to catalog work, but alas, no one listened.

I didn't have to type everything in, but there are 49 additional entries
for extra parts, 18 stickered counterparts and multiple new parts. I had a lot
of those field update plus the edits for the variants that needed to be adjusted
that all got wiped away.

If I were you, I would not use the Manual Add form to work on any of that stuff.
Just get the basics in and then Edit your pending inventory for the rest. There
is a bug in the system and if you make any mistake and have to go back from the
verify page, you could lose all your work anyway.

Yup, just found that out....ugh

   Just update the Blue boxes,
make a note of all the Red boxes that need to be added later (deleting any information
leftover in those Red boxes), and submit.
The Edit Inventory page works very well. Just leave a note for the admins when
you are ready for them to confirm you work.

I've submitted and started making my edits here. Thanks. I have a few new
printed parts so I can just leave a note for the admins in there to approve
the parts first before they approve the set then correct?

That's awesome that you're inventorying the counterparts too, but not
strictly necessary when inventorying a new set.

It was small enough and felt it was worth the extra effort now so that I didn't
have to come back later to do it. I just had other stuff going on over the weekend
so I though I could let it sit. I was just hesitant to hit the submit button
having not done it before and thinking it would submit a partial set.

1003 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 2022
Sets: LEGO Ideas (CUUSOO): Sonic the Hedgehog

Congrats and thanks!

Thank you. I've learned a lot from this group over the last almost two years
and felt it was time to take the next step. I've enjoyed adding stickered
parts for the sets that I've been collecting so this set just worked well
to continue that.

  Secondly, there is one part

Part No: 87609 Name: Plate, Modified 2 x 6 x 2/3 with 4 Studs on Side
*
87609 Plate, Modified 2 x 6 x 2/3 with 4 Studs on Side
Parts: Plate, Modified {Black}
that has a new PCC number in this catalog.
I don't see anything different from the already listed part but the PCC
number for this catalog entry is different (new=6401209)

If you find a new PCC, it is best to check the part to confirm the mold number
is the same. Then, submit a Change Request adding the new PCC. There is an option
to choose the Seq ID and select the next available number.

Lastly, can I submit the main inventory page and then still make edits to it
as I create these last few parts and minifig?

Yes, definitely. There will be a link on your Add or Change tab for New Inventories.

Perfect, I'll add what I have and amend the rest as I go on.

I had the set reserved over the
weekend and the lost the reservation because it only holds for three days apparently.
I don't want to lose all the work that I've typed in for all the parts
again.

You should not have to type in all the parts, the data from LEGO will likely
be available for you to start the process. You do not have to wait until all
your parts are in the catalog. Just leave a Note for the admin about the progress
of your inventory and keep updating it as you work.

To get an idea of how we all submit and edit inventories, you can see on this
page all the pending inventories and our Notes communicating with the admins
about our progress:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?invPend=Y&catType=S

From the Add or Change tab: Approval Pending Overview
Then scroll down to Inventories Pending Approval and click By Item Type: Sets

While it's not what I would consider a large set, there are still a number
of pieces that need to be adjusted and created. I've gone through the process
of creating and requesting all the stickered parts with images already. There
are a few new parts that need to be added to the catalog along with the new Sonic
minifig as well.

For these new parts (printed) I'm assuming that I should go through the same
process to create the new part in the system then add it to the inventory list?
Since some of these parts are printed, they have PCC numbers as well but I don't
see the PCC number anywhere in the add/change item tool. How do I make sure
this is added?

Add the new parts with the same process. After a part is approved, you submit
a Change Request to add the PCC for your color. From the Add or Change tab, choose
Change Item: - Part

Well I have the answer from BrickOwl:

Most of the bricks do have 2 rows of windows, most of them printed, some of them
stickered, but there are some with single rows.

I can't find a copy of the instructions anywhere online to double check,
but looking at the pics I suspect this brick is at the front of the captain's
bridge (see pic).
If you look at a pic of the sticker sheet, it's the sticker top right.

Mine is stickered, so please help?

It is perfectly stickered,yes.

If it is sticker and not a print, is the sticker correctly added? In other words,
is the correct sticker on the correct part based on the instructions of the set?

If so, I can help with that.

You mentioned it was a sticker? Looks like it will have to be added as a part,
then added to the set as a counterpart.

says "Glasses." I always thought this guy was wearing a slim black robber's
type mask. (After all, the head is only found as part of the Brickster, who
is a robber or criminal of some kind.)

Before I make a name change request, does anyone know of any backstory from the
Xtreme Stunts theme that would indicate that his face covering is anything besides
a mask?

The black mask in the attached photo from A Christmas Story is the style
I think it looks like.

Hello,

I'm trying to build a little piece of code for my own use, and I was wondering
where to find the list of alternate parts.

When on Bricklink I can search for part 2444, and the result give me alternate
or related item part as 10247

such as in this page: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2444&name=Plate,%20Modified%202%20x%202%20with%20Pin%20Hole&category=%5BPlate,%20Modified%5D#T=C

I have download I believe all possible files from bricklink (https://www.bricklink.com/catalogDownload.asp)

But I cannot find a file which will help me identify the possible alternate part.

I looked a the parts.txt and codes.txt files, but cannot find anything.

I see this in the codes.txt file for the 2 parts I'm using as an example:
But I see no way to "pair" some parts as identical with this information

2444 Black 244426
2444 Blue 244423
2444 Blue 4529003
2444 Dark Bluish Gray 4196768
2444 Dark Purple 4261216
2444 Green 4161728
2444 Light Bluish Gray 2444194
2444 Light Bluish Gray 4211359
2444 Medium Blue 4261128
2444 Red 244421
2444 Tan 4206666
2444 White 244401
2444 Yellow 244424

10247 Black 6061032
10247 Dark Bluish Gray 6047417
10247 Light Bluish Gray 6045988
10247 Red 6014616
10247 Tan 6302263
10247 White 6061024
10247 Yellow 6061025

Any help is welcome, thank you
