Hi all,

I was just wondering what the deal is with adding a new set to the catalog.

After visiting a Lego certified store today I received the 40450 Amelia Earhart
tribute set, which will be available from February 22 until stocks last. As far
as I can tell, this set has not been submitted to the catalog and no pending
details are available.

Can I add this set to the catalog?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello!

I know I can check a wanted list against what I currently have listed in my store,
but is there a way to do that same thing in my stores inventory?
Thanks!

Sorting through my collection of mini doll torso's, I noticed the variety
of body shapes: I found 4 distinct shapes for boy, girl, man and woman. It seems
LDraw does distinguish these 4 shapes, but Bricklink only distinguishes the two
(?) FTFpb000c00 and FTMpb000c00

Could this be a catalog project to renumber the parts and distinguish the shapes
properly? Should we renumber as FTM, FTW, FTB, FTG (Friends Torso Man/Woman/Boy/Girl)?

Man (LDraw 92242):

Part No: FTMpb001c01 Name: Torso Mini Doll Man White Shirt Top with Open Collar, Reddish Brown Tie Pattern, Light Nougat Arms with Hands with White Sleeves
*
FTMpb001c01 Torso Mini Doll Man White Shirt Top with Open Collar, Reddish Brown Tie Pattern, Light Nougat Arms with Hands with White Sleeves
Parts: Mini Doll, Torso
shoulder width 10.2 mm, breast thickness 6.6 mm

Woman (LDraw 92243):
[p=FTFpb014c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 6.9 mm

Boy (LDraw u9210):
[p=FTMpb002c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 5.5 mm

Girl (LDraw 92241):
[p=FTFpb224c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 6.0 mm

I just noticed one Bar 4L that was clearly shorter (~½ mm) than the other. It
has a LEGO logo on it, so it's genuine. Has anyone else seen this?

It seems clear the one on the left simply skipped part of the printing process
and should not be a new decorated cone.

Although I found multiples with the same error....

If you go to col334 - War Machine and look at photo #1 the very bottom of the
mask below the lip has silver on the center section. Almost looks like a sideways
axe head. Photo #2 shows that everything below the lip is just black.

Is one of them correct or are both valid? Does #2 have the silver worn off? I
find it hard to believe an official catalog photo would be approved with a defect.

For the record, my col334 looks like photo #2 and I want to know if that means
it's worn. It is supposedly brand new thus my concern.

Thanks!

Hi,
I'm adding some counterparts (stickered parts) for the set 60183.
One of the items is a slope with Red and White Danger Stripes Thick Pattern.
See attached picture.

I found a similar item from another set in the catalog:

Part No: 85984pb091L Name: Slope 30 1 x 2 x 2/3 with Red and White Danger Stripes Thick Pattern Model Left Side (Sticker) - Set 60075
*
85984pb091L Slope 30 1 x 2 x 2/3 with Red and White Danger Stripes Thick Pattern Model Left Side (Sticker) - Set 60075
Parts: Slope, Decorated
It's almost the same, the difference is the white dot in de lower left corner.

Should I add 'my' part as a new part or can I consider these items the
same?
And if it's distinctive, what name should I give it?
I'd like to hear your opinion!

Dear BrickLink members,

On Friday we heard from Hygrotus, currently our longest serving catalog admin,
that he was relinquishing his position. This is for sure a setback for our team,
as he was an unequalled expert in many areas and was exceptionally diligent and
careful in his work.

We will certainly miss him, and we wish him the best for the future. You can
read his BrickLink story here:

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1249971

The CEP admin page is not updated yet with this new information. We hope to finish
that by the end of the week.

As part of the regular course of building the Community Expert catalog admin
program, we were planning to add another admin to the team this Spring (Apr/May).
That continues to be our plan.

Hi

Just wondering why a Minifigure I listed was deleted.

This is what it is...Dragon Knights - Knight 1, Light Gray Legs with Black Hips,
Black Chin-Guard, Quiver

This is my Comments: Excellent Condition, no splits or dents. Missing Quiver/Arrows.

Is it because I don’t have the Quiver? Can I list Minifigures if missing parts?

Thank you

The release year is listed as 1987. However, the instruction is copyrighted in

Hi,

I need some clarification for the part.

Part No: 3245cpb012 Name: Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Stud Holder with White 'POLICE' on Blue Background Pattern (Sticker) - Set 7498
*
3245cpb012 Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Stud Holder with White 'POLICE' on Blue Background Pattern (Sticker) - Set 7498
Parts: Brick, Decorated

The inventory for this set indicates that it exists with the alternate part

Part No: 3245b Name: Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Axle Holder
*
3245b Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Axle Holder
Parts: Brick {White}

So, should there be a catalog entry for this part with the police sticker on
it?

If so how would it be classified? Alternate part/counterpart?

Regards,
Joe

Hello, I don't know if this is important, but there are two different versions
of this part:

Part No: 3010p04 Name: Brick 1 x 4 with Black Grille with 15 Vertical Lines Pattern
*
3010p04 Brick 1 x 4 with Black Grille with 15 Vertical Lines Pattern
Parts: Brick, Decorated
one with surface print and one with embossed print (at least in white). Maybe
this could be noted in the catalog entry.

Okay, let me explain.

On any piece of lego, as well as the part number there is a second number, on
the ones I am looking at 15-05 & 12-01.

What does this refer to ? Is it a mould reference or a colour reference? If
colour where is this identified.

Thanks

I had a question from a buyer regarding instructions of CMF’s.

He bought some from a different seller but due to our nice communication (I guess)
he asked me why the numbering of his series 13 didn’t make sense, he also missed
some and had some double.

If I am correct these leaflets are always the same unless you mark the empty
circle by yourself.
But maybe I need to be educated myself in this case...

The packages are marked with a barcode in the earlier series, later with dots/dents/pimples.

So if I am wrong I would like to know and I can give the information to my buyer
too, I will point this forumpost to him to.

Thanks already!

This pertains the difference between Friends accessories flowers and other accessories.
There appear to be 2 classifications in regards to connections. 1) thin pin and
2) bar thickness pin.

The catalogue descriptions don't differentiate them but it affects how they
can be connected. It would be great if the descriptions reflected the difference
as the thin pin accessories can mainly be connected to hair pieces with holes
and and the like, and the bar thickness accessories can be connected to broader
parts with bar holes, including grasping by hands.

Style 1 (thin pin) are these

Hello,
I have 3 part assemblies of 32553 in Light Gray with a 32554 in Trans-Light Orange

Many other variations exist as shown below:

Bionicle Head Connector Block 3 x 4 x 1 2/3 with Trans-Neon Orange Bionicle Head
Connector Block Eye/Brain Stalk (32553 / 32554)
Item No: 32553c04

Is it possible to get this added? Or is there a better solution for listing?
Thanks,

I have unfortunately purchased an auction of many Ninjago minifigs which appear
to be very good fakes. Aside from missing LEGO logos, these are for the most
part look exactly the same.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I would like to post
pictures for awareness and education so others don't run into this issue.

If someone could suggest where a good place (this forum or otherwise) to put
up pictures of these fakes, I would appreciate it.

Here are some examples:

I have a part 93788 (softer plastic version) in a color that does not look like

I am not certain which set this is from originally.

Does this warrant a split or should a note be added?

All,

In addition to my last post, also from set 75881-1 are these slopes with the
ford 66, exhaust and air vent pattern. I have both with me now so can take individual
pictures for the catalogue if needs be? I note that these do not appear in the
slope decorated parts list nor an an alternative item in the set's part list.

Morning all,

Currently cataloguing bulk parts from a recent purchase of used bricks and came
across a 1x1 technic brick (with hole) with a Michelin man sticker. Couple of
questions, does this warrant a new category in the parts catalogue (i.e. Technic
Brick Decorated) or should this just sit in the normal 'brick decorated'?
To the best of my knowledge this brick I think comes from set 75881-1 speed champions
2016 Ford GT (it hold's the rear light clusters on both side of the vehicle
- see attached photo) although this doesn't appear in the parts list for
this set as an 'alternative item'. Should I just send it to Bricklink
admin to add?

Thanks all, any help appreciated.

Can I make a suggestion that we create a new category for parts that are specifically
designed to go over the leg pins/hips and call it ‘Hip Wear’ or ‘Leg Wear’? as
there are plenty of them and probably many more that I have missed?
In my opinion ‘Body Wear’ should be left exclusively for all those parts that
are designed to go over the Torso/Neck piece only?

Hi everyone,

I was inventory'ing a Ninjago part and realized that online it says the date
of release is 2011 when in fact the printed year on part number 93070pb01 is
actually 2009. Minor change.

Set No: 75978 Name: Diagon Alley
*
75978-1 (Inv) Diagon Alley
5475 Parts, 17 Minifigures, 2020
Sets: Harry Potter
contains a small box with a stand and two minifigures. However this box has no
separate entry in the catalogue yet. It has two part numbers: 6294189 printed
on all 8 sides of the box and a (SKU?) number 6328287.

I would like to add this to the catalogue but I don't know how to proceed
since it's not a set in itself.

Maybe treat it the same as cardboard sleeves, catalogue-wise? (I'm a little
experienced in this subject matter since I contributed a couple of those cardboard
thingy's that everyone disposes off).

When looking into items that could not be bought out of my store with instant
checkout found that. Set ID: Col19-5, Col20-1, Col20-7, Col20-13, Coldis-14,
Coldis2-18, Coldis2-8 and Colsh-2 are all missing the size. First is this way
its stopping the instant checkout on these items? Second is there a way I can
edit this or the weight in my own inventory as I cant seem to find a way to edit
them?

Yesterday I noticed the issue of not being able to click on the Super Heroes
category in stores (https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1243705) has been
fixed.

I couldn't find any anouncement on this in the forum, so I wanted to thank
the people who fixed this!
It was a serious PITA IMO, so I'm glad it finally got fixed.

Sorting through the catalog to complete minifig and came across

Minifig No: cas375 Name: Fantasy Era - Troll Warrior 5
*
cas375 (Inv) Fantasy Era - Troll Warrior 5
Minifigures: Castle: Fantasy Era
.
Is this a real minifig? If so, can someone submit an actual picture so we don't
have a weird photoshopped image.

I’ve got a collection of number bricks in a font other than what I can find in
the current catalogue (ie not standard, bold or serif).

Am I just not managing to find the correct entry or is their justification for
adding these patterns to the catalogue?

Hello,
I've had this set added to the inventory (6237339-1), however this set "Consists
Of" sets 60190-1 and 60191-1
How can I add these two sets to "Item Consists Of" of 6237339-1?
Thank you

I'm currently building 'The Bee Farm' and noticed that piece 19729pb035
(See URL) has medium blue eyes in most illustrations (Including the front of
the instructions) yet, the eyes in the instructions (In the steps) and on the
actual model are black.

My box and instructions seem to be a variant to the ones in the catalog (The
Catalog entries all have black eyes). Could the eye colour have changed after
they produced the box? Any help is appreciated

Kind Regards,
Theo - The_RealRedHex

Whilst it will already be known to many that I'm not a fan of the fact that
the catalog insists that sellers separate their head stud types and with their
being no change in sight I am now begrudgingly starting to sort through my heads
so that I don't run into problems with customers because regardless of what
I state in my store terms about "Not separating stud types" this won't count
for much in the eyes of Bricklink(Admin has already told me as much!) if/when
a customer chooses to complain and leave negative feedback for receiving the
wrong stud!

However whilst only in the early stages of sorting I've already noticed this
part only available to list in 'Blocked Open Stud' yet I also have some
of these in 'Hollow Stud' too?

Part No: 3626bpb0491 Name: Minifigure, Head Dual Sided HP Draco Smirking / Troubled Pattern - Blocked Open Stud
*
3626bpb0491 Minifigure, Head Dual Sided HP Draco Smirking / Troubled Pattern - Blocked Open Stud
Parts: Minifigure, Head

Its a 10 year old part and so is there any reason both options are not in the
catalog and can I expect more of the same or have I just been unlucky?
If stud type is so important to people how is it that its gone unnoticed for
so long?

saw that even more are marked likewise. Is there a reason behind it I missed?
