| As I work through a client to do useful things with the Bricklink API, I'm
curious what issues other developers have experienced that may impact the robustness
any application.
One thought I just had was that there is no guarantee that the underlying data
is stable within the various catalog related resources.
An obvious example is assignment of part numbers. Clearly, they may change over
time. When they do, are new element ids assigned or would the element id be a
reliable way to ensure data integrity?
Would it be wise to preserve the old part numbers in some way either with a soft
delete or some other kind of deprecation flag?
I would like to work with the assumption that certain values are essentially
primary keys. category IDs, color IDs, really anything named xxxx ID. It seems
to me that the nomenclature in use implies that anything called 'id'
is immutable while anything else is fair game for modification during catalog
updates.
Thoughts?

| I have an order 4 days old now that the customer cannot pay. They are new and
made 3 attempts. I suspect they didn't confirm at the end. But on my order
page, the payment is marked as recieved. In PayPal it shows voided 3 times.
I have order status set to pending and the dropdown for payment status shows
"None" as an option, but I cannot select it.

| Dear all,
The past few days, I'm not able to send an invoice to an UK buyer, after
adding the shipping costs manually!
Clicking on the "Invoice Button" brings me to the "Send Invoice"
page.
Clicking on the "Send Invoice Button" returns the following message;
"The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred."
I've tried several browsers on Windows and Android systems, but all resulted
in the same error message.
Looks to me, it is the same problem as addressed in Message 1394101 on Feb 16.
So could you please fix it (again)?

| Hi,
I've received an order of 86 gramm, but the shipping methode which is choosen
only has the following weight bands in gramms:
0 - 9.00
9.01 - 33.00
I expected that this shipping option wouldn't be available for the buyer
and an other of my shipping methodes would be choosen.
Is this normal behaviour or an error?

| After the latest update of Firefox, all pages originated from the "Want"
menu are impossible to scroll up/down, not only with the mouse wheel but also
by using PgUp/PgDn, arrows, or any other method. They just freeze in their first
position. Edge and Chrome browsers have no problem. I did all possible remedies
in Firefox (cache, clean cookies, re-initialize) but nothing seems to work. Anyone
else can replicate this?

did anyone got TIMESTAMP_REUSED authentication errors?

I'm getting these very regularly especially when doing price guide requests
or adding items to inventory.
It also seems to happen more often at certain times. It seems like, it happens
for more costly operations and probably at peak times.
I'm using the jave code provided on the API Guide (https://www.bricklink.com/v3/api.page?page=auth),
the BLAuthSigner class.
I have to admit that I'm no OAuth expert and I'm just starting looking
into it in more detail. But even getting a "TIMESTAMP_REUSED" error seems
odd to me. Using the same timestamp should be allowed as long as I'm using
a different nonce. Otherwise, I'd only be able to do one request per second.
What's even more hinting to a Bricklink error is that my inventory gets updated
even though, I get this authentication error back. If authentication really fails,
my inventory shouldn't update.
Any help is appreciated.

| Anyone else having problems with changing wanted list items from want to have
or vice versa. I keep getting a message saying I've got more than one of
the same colour of a part on my list, which I haven't. Was working Ok yesterday.

| Just got a new batch with Instant Checkout payment and the order was not moved
to the top of the list.
Two days ago I had a new batch added to another order and that one the Order
Date was updated and the order moved to the top of the list.
Anyone noticed this?

| I recently placed an order and some of the pieces did not arrive. I messaged
the seller to try and resolve the issue but as I was looking at the order, I
noticed the order status was set to complete. I do not remember setting this
and I am unable to change it. With my other orders, there has always been a drop
down to select from but on this one there is no drop down. I am wondering if
I am missing something?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am relatively new to bricklink

| Today - Saturday 29.04.2023 - I find that I cannot scroll on some of the site
pages. I even installed a scroll extension into my mouse, but can still only
scroll on certain pages.
Is this me or the site?

| Hello.
I have had the store closed for a while and opened up recently.
And I discovered that onsite payment was not mandatory anymore so for domestic
I chose only an offsite payment method.
However it is not working anymore for me. I got a couple of domestic orders with
the offsite payment and suddenly a buyer contacted me and apparently checkout
was not possible anymore "Store has no payment option". This was last
week. I added PayPal onsite then so the buyer could checkout.
Offsite payment methods is available to choose for me in store settings but they
don't show up to the buyer. However this morning it popped in a domestic
order which had the offsite payment opted. When I give the checkout a look right
now offsite is not available for domestic in checkout. So it worked temporarily
this morning.
I contacted BL service last week but I guess it can take a while before they
answer. Any knowledge in this issue?

| So today I was gonna make a new Lego model, an update went through and that's
when I notice something was not right. So I tried to zoom in an out by using
my mouse scroll, but it was not zooming in or out, idk why it's not working.
Then I tried using ctrl and that's not working either, I need help.

| I searched for a part to buy and selected "Shipping to The Netherlands"
as a preset.
On the search result page I click on the item I want to buy.
However when I go the shop I see that the seller doesn't ship to my country.
Question: Why did this item show up in my search results?

| Hello,
I am attempting to importing my minifig collection from brickset to bricklink.
The csv file exported from brickset was not recognized so I converted the data
to an XML which should be compatible with bricklink. Here is an example of my
output:
Msw0001aUC1
Msw0001bUC1
I am receiving errors that the item ids cannot be found. The ids are clearly
there, so this error appears to be just a generic response. I'm guessing
that there is something wrong with my XML file, but it appears to align with
the current documentation. Can someone point out where I am going wrong?

| Hi,
a (new) buyer ordered and accordingly to the order details paid with PayPal onsite,
an option we don't offer, only PayPal after making an invoice ourselves.
We now somehow can't change the order status. Order is shippend, but no option
to mark it that way and no option to send an drive thru because of that. Now
the order has arrived, customer satisfied, so I want to file the order. But I
can't, because no checkbox appears. The order status is still on "packed"
and the pull-down-menu has no more options to pick.
Anyone an idea how to file my order? (and yes, I could wait for 6 months for
it to get purged, but I don't know if that will happen. Cancelled orders
somehow seem to outlive the 6 month-timeframe quite regularly).
Hope someone has an idea how this could happen.

unfortunately, I find no possibility to read the sub categories (like the Collectable
Minifigures Series) using the API:

there is a parent_id field for retrievin the hierarchy but none of the sub categories
are returned.
Am I missing a hidden switch?

I tried to refund a buyer that I'd completed the order on but the package
was returned to me 3 weeks later by Royal Mail and the buyer requested a refund,
however when clicking the 'issue refund' link on that order a page came
up saying 'this site can't be reached'.
Anyone got any ideas?

| For the last week every time I search my inventory the search bar reverts back
to "all items". We always have one tab open set to "store inventory"
for checking stock and verifying parts, probly use that function 50 times a day.
Now we have to manually select the drop down every time we search, a bit annoyed..
Is there a simple fix? someone to contact thru bricklink? I'm using chrome.

| The My Order Note field is appearing by default on the Orders Received page for
both New and Classic layouts. I don't believe it was there until fairly recently,
and it really messes with the width of the page. If it's a bug, it shouldn't
appear by default. If it's a feature, we should have a checkbox to remove
it.

| I took the past few days to reorganize the locations of a lot of parts - specifically
the plethora of Technics odds and ends. Along the way I found one lot of 50
that was in the online inventory but I've never physically owned
or sold. Weird, but, whatever.
I cleaned all that up but then was left with four little 53501's. When I
went to add it in Brickstore nothing shows up. When I search for it on BL,
it's there. But then when I go to add the macro it again doesn't show
up.

| Last few days, I've noticed that the little dropdown menu to the left of
the search bar now resets after you set it, then search. Example, is that I set
it to "my store inventory" then search an ID within my inventory. Used
to be that I'd find it, make the change, then search another ID. The menu
would retain the choice of "inventory". Now however, is always resets
back to "all items". That little change now requires additional time
while doing inventory work, and it's quite annoying, to be frank.
I was away for about 3 weeks, so I don't know whether this change is a result
of an update in that time, or if it is in fact a bug.

Just noticed today that when searching the shop's inventory multiple times,
the search dropdown keeps reverting to search within all items on bricklink instead
of in store inventory. This was not the case when inputting items yesterday so
I was wondering if this is a glitch/change/setting that anyone has a fix for?
The muscle memory of just searching repetedly is slowing down us down and causing
some frustration.

| Hi there,
I'm using a password generator to create random passwords for websites (stored
in an external tool - KeePassXC).
Today I noticed that I couldn't log on to bricklink anymore because of a
wrong password. After setting a new password, everything works fine again and
it seems that nothing has been changed (still have my (hopefully) correct inventroy,
etc.).
But still, a bit strange - has my account been hacked?
Does anybody else have/had the same issue recently?

| I want to have two options - one for Priority Mail and one for manual invoice.
When I set up the manual one, that is the only one that shows up. How do I
give the customer the option to choose either Priority Mail or manual invoicing
for cheaper shipping options?

I searched the forum and found a few people that had the same issue, but I'm
not sure what to do to resolve it. I paid my Bricklink seller fees for last
month, but a $0.01 fee is still showing on my profile page. The payment page
doesn't say I owe anything. Do I need to contact someone?

| Despite the fact that I checked the box asking to remain always connected, bricklink
always disconnects after a while (Even if i keep my computer always on, and i
never close my browser)
