IIRC, it's illegal in most States to require a purchase to enter a contest
for a giveaway.

I'm buying a lot of parts to build a specific thing.

I also have a lot of want lists and before I check out I always see if the current
seller happens to have any of those parts/figs.

Often they will have a fig I want, but they are asking 2x the going rate for
that part. For instance, recently a seller I was buying from had a Harry Potter
fig for $16 that usually sells for $8 if you check the global sales stats. During
the checkout flow, I'd like be able to offer $8 for this fig in addition
to the rest of my order, and then the seller can decide if they want to add it
to the order or not.

I think a lot of times the seller just doesn't regularly update prices for
the figs they are selling and would often toss in extras at market rate for an
order that they are already shipping, since it is easy.

Just an aside:

'Global sales stats' and 'market rates' include sales for incomplete
and damaged items and do not take into account the location of supply.

If one seller in eastern Europe is selling 500 of some minifig for cheap, but
I have 1 of the 3 available in the US, then I have little reason to base my prices
on theirs.

Good luck!

Rather than searching for "1 x 1", would be great to be able to narrow specifically
to properly sized/colored bricks. E.g. show a dropdown with the brick sizes and
colors.

You can filter your search results this way:

Start at the Color Guide to select only the color you want.

Select the Category that you would like to search in.

Then type in your search for 1x1.

Good luck!

If every brick style/size is in a dropdown menu, it would be huge.

E.g. sort by total quantity and total price would be helpful when buying a large
number of pieces.

sometimes parts at not competitively priced and there are huge ranges on some
parts/figs (I've seen $80 and $50 for the same fig).

It would save me a lot of time if there was a way to quickly find *reasonably
priced* items on my wanted list at a given store. I.e. "Add to cart all items
on this list at this store where the price is within 10% of what this part usually
goes for"

There are a ton of parts that I have basically infinite demand for at the market
price, or slightly below. Every time I shop at a store I want to add any copies
that the current seller has where they aren't gouging me.

Obviously voted no, since this causes a race to the bottom.

I voted no. It is not necessary. Any such order should not be an order but a
quote, meaning parts are not reserved and the seller free to deny it and readjust
all prices if they wish. Including up.

Just because a part or figure sold for a low price somewhere else doesn't
mean that is all it is worth. If I have to look through a list of prices, checking
what the buyer wants to pay instead, I'll just reject it.

Plus if it was a feature, I expect some buyers will lowwball sellers routinely,
causing more work for no sale. I had one a couple of weeks ago, expecting me
to sell at 1/3 off my price (about 25% off 6mo average), which was already cheapest
in my country on BL and ebay. I just stoplisted them. No point in talking to
a buyer that makes insulting offers. If they think they can do better elsewhere,
go elsewhere.

I would say no as it would that start encouraging the market to be more of a
best offer type thing. Sometimes it’s best to message the seller but “the going
rate” is only the average and it will often sell for a decent % below or above
that amount so the seller may have it priced just where they want it

I just want to tick a couple of boxes and be done, you know?

Maybe try adding a couple of these to your order:

Part No: 3673 Name: Technic, Pin without Friction Ridges
*
3673 Technic, Pin without Friction Ridges
Parts: Technic, Pin {Light Bluish Gray}

You can set a max price on any item in your wanted list, and then exclude stores
where selling over the max price from your searches. If you're already in
the store then the max price will be highlighted if the seller's price is
over.
