  Dear Support Team Extraordinaire,

As of now we only have destination "domestic" vs "international".

I would like to see a further continental divide and a nation subdivide.

Example for specifying shipping methods :
(div) Asia ; (subdiv) Azerbeidzjan, Bahrain, ...
(div) Europe ; (subdiv) Albania, Austria, Belgium, ...

I live in the Hellhole of Europe as Mr Donald Grump so nicely portrayed his geoknowledge
last year.

We have carriers who are German/Dutch Based. But because of trilinguity in Belgium,
we also have carriers that are Roman-influenced ( France, Spain, Portugal ).
Each offer very interesting rates for their playground, while costing at least
200% to ship into their former WWII adversaries' territories.

Therefore I would very much like to specify shipping methods that can only be
seen for Germans, while others are only viewable for the Ratatouille-part of
Europe.

Please implement so my shipping suggestions will work better and I would not
overwhelm potential customers with a dozen shipping options

(P.S. I checked the last 2000 posts in Suggestions but could not find this, so
I hope is genuinely new suggestion ).

kind regards
Dirk

I doubt this will happen if autocheckout comes. With autocheckout, it is irrelevant
as the customer will be shown the postage costs for the order.

Otherwise, in the meantime, I think you do just need to use loads of tables for
different areas and the buyer will see all of them.

I'm sure each store has its own cart for a good technical reason, as the
databases are probably separate.

However, if I go to my cart, I'd love to see each store on a single long
page, with the items showing which I have for each store.

Thanks! Keep up the great work.

Your solution is not what I am after - you expect the emails to be seen amongst
many that are received...assuming the email is actually sent and received, the
reliability of emails is at best, not!

So simply put, I want the quotes to be an actionable highlight like the invoices
are!!!!

After all BL should support this, every sale I make is money in their pocket,
versus none for every one that is missed.

Again if you are not supporting the option, and just think your quick fix will
be a solution...fluff off. BL should be thinking on ways to support and enhances
the ability for us to make a sale, and getting quotes is an important way to
be contacted by a customer.

I have made sales via quotes through BL, even when the quote itself has failed,
so they are a good help, and I get extremely frustrated when I see quotes missed,
or at least an opportunity to engage a future client, you never know when that
one client way turn out to be the best long term customer you could ever have
found. And yes they could also be the client from hell too. I choose to think
that quotes are more important than pretty pictures....interaction is more important
when you have give and take - it builds trust!

Kind regards,
Dave

The current XML order download allows you to get member ID or real name. It does
not include address/city/state/country. Please add those fields.

I think this suggestion is a good one. Having said that, there are issues which
might prevent it from actually happening. Here in the US pretty much (but not
all) cards have an address connected to them. A very few anonymous debit cards
do not. Once you go international, only some countries have addresses connected
to the cards. Some countries have privacy laws that prevent those addresses from
crossing borders. That is the major reason that PayPal cannot give you a verified
address from the majority of countries they operate in.

I understand the suggestion, I understand how big the leap is to get from where
we are today, to where we would all like to be. I hope someday we can get there.

P.S. The lack of actual Stripe address validation is why I'm not using it
on BL. On another site, that does proper validation, I do accept Stripe.

I think that it would be a good idea to mark sets that are sold as incomplete

You may exclude incomplete sets in the price guide. However there seem to be
sellers who continue to list incomplete sets as complete, and just add to the
description what is missing.

https://www.bricklink.com/priceGuideSettings.asp?viewFrom=P

Check for example this set (Lot #121748782) which is listed as complete:

it can be left blank.

Already exists - see image below - it is on your 'Customize display settings
from the orders received page - put a tick in the box it adds the column which
once you fill it out the tracking number appears on the order and the order summary
page.

Hope that helps

Also...

I find that the tracking number field is a bit wide for my Orders Received page.
I generally use the Edit Order screen to add this info.

Please remove the image upload limit of 50 images per days.

It is annoying that I have to use multiple days to add pictures to my items and
in the meantime, I have to move items to stockroom because they lack the needed
picture.

A picture says more than 1000 words and is just better to show the condition
rather than trying to explain it.

Hi Bricklink Team,
like it looks will the classic version stay!!! Please let the classic version
live!

Many many thanks if you do that.

  Hello Everyone,

In June of last year, we introduced a new Wanted List upgrade. This upgrade came
with a newly-designed buying experience which focused on the necessity to compare
and plan out multiple carts at once, as well as make it easier to manage multiple
lists.

Since BrickLink's Wanted List is a core feature for most users, we currently
provide the classic version for members to use as a backup in case there are
glitches with the new version. This is intended to be a temporary solution.

The classic version of the Wanted List feature will become unavailable on
June 5, 2017.
At this point, we have ensured that the new version of the
Wanted List covers all desired functionality (plus more) from the classic version.
If you have any issues with the new version, please let us know as soon as possible.

Thank you for the continued support, bug reports, and helpful feedback as we
continue to roll out important changes.

Sincerely,

Jaclyn

I suggest that these two messages should be consistant.

That is, if the seller does not ship to my country, the message on the store
should be:

"Seller does not ship to your country."

That way, correspondence can ensue to find a shipping location mutually acceptable
to both parties.

USPS has GREAT tracking at low price.

If a person is stop listed, the message can remain:

"Seller does not ship to you"

Teos does NOT ship to Canada, at last check I am not personally stop listed by
him, so this is a good example.

Items should be excluded from the catalog/inventory unless they have an accurate
weight, and the system should default to generate a rate based on seller preferences
(add packaging weight, fee, whatever). Items could be selected by category or
lot as "bulky" thereby adding to the shipping rate or requiring a custom invoice.

If only it was that simple We need a full database of all packing size dimensions
of all parts.

There is nothing wrong with asking how they are shipping if it seems high. $5.00+
off the mark, adjusting for 5% fees they might pad it with, is unreasonable.

I don't fully understand what you're trying to say, but anyway, I think
it's fairly easy: Either we have instant checkout where the buyer sees exactly
how much they will pay, or it should be possible to break down the added charges
quoted in the invoice and possible to verify that it is 1:1 with what the store
has in its terms regarding shipping&handling. Any invitations to pay more than
what is stated, even if it is just 1 cent, should be illegal and quickly result
in a selling ban. But as long as it's visible to the buyer, the seller could
charge whatever they like and will find out of it is in line with demand or not.

Agreed.

I agree with this entirely. Streamline it all. Make things standard for everyone.
It's a mess as it is.

I would add some marginal cost to instructions, for example, since I always add
cardboard and lay them flat, which makes them bulkier and/or adds weight.

Your best bet is to place an order for the item. Sellers should abide
by their shipping rates and fee structure according to BL rules, just as much
as you should honor the order if they act within their terms. You can tell if
a rate is too high and they padded it.

There is nothing wrong with asking how they are shipping if it seems high. $5.00+

If you are talking about a difference below that mark, then you are being unreasonable.
The way BL is set up, the pricing scheme is quite a big focus, and most of us
get ripped off far greater elsewhere. The way to improve this is not to require
an extra step, but to streamline the process for everyone
