the other 33 are all present and still factory fresh sealed. My question is now,
where can I sell those for a good price. Okey a lot will say Ebay, but are there
any other market plattforms in the internet ? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi Fellow Lego enthusiasts,

I'd like to open a can of worms and state that Animals that are based on
Characters should be classed as Minifigures.

We now have "Brick Built" figures being included as Minifigures (EG: Unikitty
& Super Mario) However Animals that are Characters in their respective TV show
or Movie are considered Animals? (EG: Scooby Doo from Scooby Doo & Lotso the
Bear from Toy Story)

What are your thoughts?

These are non postage stamps, most known as fiscal stamps.

Don’t know much about them but amassed a fair collection over the years.

Just a few, not sure anyone would be interested in many more.

Interesting. Never heard of them before.

In France, until very recently, they were used to pay fines (speeding tickets…)
and other occasional taxes.
At the beginning, they were used more widely for a lot of taxes.  Customs & excise
for instance, or rights on sales or official documents, licences, passports….
They are proof you paid.
And they existed before postal stamps, so, actually postal stamps are just a
special form of fiscal stamps.

For fines, you got a letter/form by mail, you went to the local “tabac-presse”
(tobacco-press) shop to buy the stamps, you put them on the form and send it
back.  This way, you didn’t send cash by mail (which is forbidden in France)
and didn’t have to go to the Treasury administration building, to wait in line
for hours….

Now it’s all “dématerialisé” (virtual) but you still need them, for instance
for a passport.

to hear back that I could help them distribute to local kids this year.

I run a Bricklink and BrickOwl store and was connected with a LEGO Collector's
Canada Facebook group earlier this year and have been very blessed by the LEGO
community during my layoff last year due to COVID. It was very rewarding to be
able to give back to the community and pass on the best toy ever to some kids
who may not get anything this holiday season.

I was able to obtain 88 sets to donate. After hearing a call out on the local
radio for a need for gifts for 8-12 year olds at Santa's Anonymous they all
got delivered there on Wednesday December 8th. Here's hoping some kids in
Edmonton have an enjoyable time building their sets this holiday break.

You're a good man, Tyson.

Wow, I use a box top lid from a Staples printer paper box for the same reason
you do. It's sturdy and the perfect size for almost every order. I've
used it for a long time, the corners are taped up because I've stepped on
it more than once. I have unused box lids that are exactly the same but it never
occurred to me to replace it.

I Pack my orders every day the same way. As I delete the lot/line off my .bsx
file I toss the bagged lot into Lego box that I have been using for quite some
time now. It's one half of the Lego ideas Birds set. It has always been
the perfect size, 95% of my orders fit in there and then just pour into a bubble
mailer.

Set No: 21301 Name: Birds
*
21301-1 (Inv) Birds
580 Parts, 2015
Sets: LEGO Ideas (CUUSOO)

I went to go pull an order and nearly had a panic attack looking for the thing,
wondering if it got tossed with the trash run I did on Saturday. Then I found
it and realized I just might be a little crazy.

Any others have similar oddities they would like to share?

I have a little 6x6x2 inch box that I use for pulling orders and ran into the
same situation after a birthday party for my daughter a few months back. Found
out on of the kid was using the lid as a ramp for cars in another room. It was
promptly replaced.

I suspect there aren’t many here that frequent the forum but I know of one or
two.

Cornwall is stunning at any time but I do like watching the stormy seas on the
coast, not many people about at this time of the year, they are missing out on
some spectacular natural beauty.

Thank you for taking time to research the UK internet.

Did a little digging, though. It seems BT's track record as IP in Cornwall
has been spotty. But the info was a few years old and therefore not helpful to
you.

No clue as to how many Cornish read the BL forum, or how often. Hopefully you'll
get someone with firsthand knowledge of the region's broadband, chiming in.

Good luck. It looks like a beautiful part of UK to call home.

No, I guess not and I'm not even sure if I would want them to. Everyone should
be free to run their store any way they like after all, as long as they don't
break any laws.

What would be really nice though, is a filter that would let me exclude stores
with minimum lot values and per lot fees from the search results, in the same

I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

Bricklink are not going to do anything about it, especially for fees that are
added on using their own (seller customisable) fee algorithms at checkout.

So just least favourite the store and forget them.

What's the lowest parts to fees ratio that you've seen? Should these
stores be named?

I've seen it called fee avoidance, unfair competition, buyer luring/tricking
and other things over the last couple of years of my BrickLink life here on the
forum.

I've also seen a lot of people defending it because time consuming orders
are not profitable.

From my personal experience, and from seeing how frustrated both my girlfriend
and mother-in-law get, I would call it a "buyer deterrent" that reflects badly
on all stores. Yes, you can read the terms in advance but how many other places
can you name, where the price on the shelf is not the price you are expected
to pay? How many new buyers just give up on BrickLink before they even get started,
thinking "these are just a bunch of con artists"?

The basket on the screenshot is just an example. I sorted all the parts by price
and kept adding until I met the minimum buy. A single minifig basket added for
comparison.

To be clear, I would be very annoyed with an order like this as well but I would
fulfil it and make a mental note that my prices need to be raised...

I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

You might have accidentlly turned on/off the SNAP button at the top of the screen
- it's blue when turned on.

I think he also accidentally turned on his caps lock key.

Beware of the answer: “THERE’S A KEY TO LOCK CAPS?  OH THANKS A LOT!  IT’S WAY
MORE EASY TO TYPE NOW!”

Which strongly suggests this is a capacity issue, either with BL's footprint
on AWS, or possibly with the selected payment service.

The time from mid-November thru late-December is a heavy online shopping period.
It's where many online marketplaces get stress tested (by real live buyers).

I can only imagine the frustration felt by the customer in not being able to
complete this order. since I recently completed two orders to Washington without
issue can there still be an issue from my store??
I sent a message to admin@BrickLink.com regarding this buyer's vaid complaint,
as well as a few others but have not received a reply yet.

FWIW it doesn't seem to be the issue we saw earlier this month with the global
cart page. It might help if the buyer could supply one or more screen captures
of what he's seeing.

I just finished spending about 30 minutes placing an order only to be informed
that they were unable to find any shipping methods from Pennsylvania to Washington.
Imagine my surprise to find out that this is still going on. I think it's
time for Bricklink to put an end to vendors, who for some reason or another(mainly
politics), won't ship too places that they don't like. Bricklink needs
to set a policy that simply states "If you are unwilling to ship to every Bricklink
user then you need to leave and sell your wares elsewhere". It's your site
not theirs - time to shut this down once and for all.

Personally, I do not ship to the Arctic or Antarctica. Never have and never will
no matter how many buyers want me to.

Have a good one -

Thank you. It's a fine time of year here, when family and friends come together.
Doesn't get much better in my book.

This year it's just us (my son, daughter and I) and we're celebrating
with meal today, tomorrow we're going on a hike. Gonna start the bird here
soon, it'll be a simple Thanksgiving meal this year. I've got lined up:
mash potatoes, turkey gravy (with lots of turkey bits), cornbread stuffing, string
beans and a nice local cranberry sauce made at one of the cranberry farms over
on the coast here in Washington. And of course, pumpkin pie

And of course, libations! My son and I will no doubt share of a nice rye whiskey
from a local distillery we both enjoy, Woodinville. My daughter who would normally
have her Martini Bianco with seven-up, can't have alcohol any longer. I'll
come up with something nice for her to enjoy, instead.

Thanks for posting
