model (yes, that is the part count, it was deliberately engineered to that number
with the help of my 7-year-old daughter who's a maths genius and found hitting
that number exactly to be hilarious, but I digress...)

I'm trying to get the parts I need for the stained glass windows, and finding
obtaining some of the colours hit and miss. For example, I ordered 2 trans neon
orange 1x1 bricks from a store recently and was sent plain trans orange instead.
Similarly with ordering some trans medium blue and receiving trans light blue.

I know there are colour variances, but holding up the incorrectly sent parts
to the light with the ones I've already got it's very obvious they're
different. I want to send photos however to show the sellers the difference -
but the photos don't show the difference that clearly (I don't have a
light box)...

I'm also being stymied with this because I get refunds but then have to try
to find the parts in other stores and having to pay a ton more in shipping costs
for only a small number of parts - or finding stores that have them with large
minimum buys and not much by way of other parts I need for this or other models.
The stores that have these parts are not in Australia and postage to here is
awful.

Any thoughts on how I could handle this better? Should I insist that the sellers
resend with correct parts? Do I need to send them photos or should my word be
enough (bearing in mind that it's probable that it's an honest categorisation
mistake by people who may not be able to tell the difference in their parts rooms
or whatever and entirely probable that the mistake was made some time ago with
things being put in the incorrect tray/drawer)?

Thanks and best regards,

I sympathize with you. Every (starting) seller should have the The Periodic Table
of LEGO Colors (link: https://wlwyb.com/shop/periodic-table-of-lego-colors/)
or a similar tool.

I have quite a bit of trans bricks in my store and guarantee they are correctly
listed. Feel free to have a look
And good luck with your amazing project!

These colors are easily mistaken. Not all sellers are experienced enough to discern
the difference. Contact your sellers before you buy!! Explain that the colors
are extremely important to you and (politely) note that just refunding $.25 when
you've paid $15 to ship is not going to be a good workaround. If they don't
get back to you fairly quick with a confident reply, then move on. And check
feedback before ordering.

Good luck with your project! Math kids are the best. I have one myself.

Go to the store, click "Add Bookmark" and select Dislike. Then make sure to exclude
disliked stores when shopping your Want List (which means you can't use Easy
Buy)

When you use Auto-select, the dialog that appears has a checkbox “Select stores
when item price is lower than store Minimum Buy.”
Make sure it’s unchecked before clicking Start

58247 Minifigure, Weapon Gun, Blaster SW Standard
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon {Black}

in Tan, Lime and Yellow.

I picked up these parts a few years ago now from a seller in Hungary who I assume
must have had some sort of factory connection. I was placing an order anyway
and picked up a few to resell as I thought they were interesting.

These parts are not fake, have the LEGO logo and the part number etc.

Is Bricklink now policing selling items in 'un-officially' released colors,
or is this an order from the corporate overlords similar to the *whispers* Osprey

I notice there is still a Red Darth Vader helmet listed, however it was forcibly
changed to Black on my wanted list this week. What's going on here?

The last word of the reason could be it: counterfeit

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1322014

Those are Lego items made in Lego Factories in bulk by someone not authorised
with the purpose of resale.

It's not the same as if some prototype parts/colors get into the wild than
actually doing it in bulk.

Address of members aren't available (even having orders) for 2 years approx.

PS: I guess it's for privacy reasons.

Just like the previous feature we had that showed the last time an user was connected.
It was useful especially when you had a non selling seller and could check he
connected every day

Same, this is gone - for also the same reason I'd say?

open order for them, but the updated address does not show on the order (which
I realize is "normal" here.)

They paid through stripe and the same address is there as well.

Any ideas?

Have the buyer message you the correct address.

My apologies, I should have been more clear. I did message the buyer to correct
the incomplete address and they asked me if I could see if it was done properly.
I let them know I could not see it because of the error, so they sent it to me.

Any ideas was in reference to the page throwing the error. I've never used
this feature before and for me at least it does not appear to work. I just wondered
if anyone else could get it to work or should I file a bug report?

I tried looking up a few buyers that I have open orders with and I received the
same error message that you did for all of them, but as long as you have the
buyer's correct address, then I see no reason to file a bug report.

Why should I pay for my Brick Link fees when you can not help me with a problem
I been asking about.

Don't play this game; you'd be (badly) surprised.

  This order with a NPB
I can not upload the items back in my store because of the status of complete.
Please help me out after ten years of no problems in my store and a simple question
of help is not being addressed.
Also I am being charged fees on this order when I put in a Non-paying buyer

Just start reading Help - that would help.

You need to complete the NPB process then your fees are refunded.

Hi,

Has anyone experience this issue before? I was checking my inventory today and
found a lot of my inventory's dimensions were switched around or changed.

For an example, 1.8 cm for X and 1.6cm for Y and 0.6cm for Z was my original
input. Now, it's 1.6cm X and 1.8cm for Y and 0.6cm for Z. Also, some of
items were being erased, one dimension were filled in before and now, it's
blank. And the other were completely off from what it used to be.

I had to go through all my lots to fixed it one by one. Hopefully, this won't
happen again, but, if it's a system glitch, Bricklink needs to know.

Thank you.

Has the order been paid already? BrickLink will not let you change the price

To return the entire order, or to get a replacement/refund for the visor?

Fake parts creep into the inventories of even the best sellers. Sometimes they
don't notice when they're packing orders.

Hi Seems I received a fake Iron Patriot Minifigure Visor Mask.

See the attacked photos.

In photo 1, left is what I got, right is the photo of the real one. You can see
the eyebrows curvature is different. The jaw is too flat missing some gear shape
lines.

In photo 2, the red line around the visor seems not printed but painted by a
marker pen.

In photo 3, the visor can not be fully opened in the headgear.

Thanks.

Not sure if this is a recent trend or I am just the unlucky seller who gets

you do about requests like these if you get them.

If the order has not been paid for, just tell them to order the parts they require
in the normal manner, and their existing existing list will be updated automatically.
Then send them an updated invoice.

In that case I would probably just include the extra parts for free, if the buyer
spent a good amount on the first order.

Yes, I decide on a case by case basis -and it all depends on what the buyer is
looking for; value of the parts. I just need a more consistent way to handle
these requests . I'm not going to deal with Paypal fees for an extra $0.25
cents . Thanks for all the ideas .

I did this to two stores a few months ago - found I was missing some window glass
while building a set.

One store threw a few of them in the box, gratis. That was very kind of them.

The other store pushed the order state back, refunded me, let me add the parts,
re-pay etc. It was a hassle for me and the store and must have cost them more
in Paypal fees than the parts were worth. I would have preferred they just decline
the request - “Sorry, too late” would have been fine. I appreciate the effort
though.

This. I also charge a $0.50 to compensate for the extra fees and hassle. Sometimes
the buyer will then decline, but many times they'll go through with it and
even add a couple extra items.

Great idea as well - will keep it in mind the next time this happens - thanks

Not sure if this is a recent trend or I am just the unlucky seller who gets
these requests. These aren't usually requests for parts which are expensive
and I usually decide on a case by case basis. Just wondering what the rest of
you do about requests like these if you get them.

I like the idea- do you do this for orders of low values - like less than 1$
?

I would first suggest clearing your cache and/or trying another browser or device.

What happened to me in the past, might be the case here as well:

I use a different email address for communication than the one that is linked
to my PayPal account. It has happened a buyer sent the amount via PayPal directly
to the email address that I use to generate the order mail and communicate with.
In other words: the money was sitting in the account of that email address.

So it was sent, but not to the PayPal account I expected it to be sent to.

Thanks,
Henri

  Hi,

Not sure to post here or in Payment options, but here goes.

Since the 18th April, I have had 3 orders where it states on the order page,
that payment have been done via Paypal on Bricklink, normally that is perfectly
fine, I receive an order confirmation with the order number and items ordered,
and a notification from Paypal that payment have been received. All great and
transaction is completed, and order can be sent out.

How ever, as I said, I have 3 orders in my order book, where it says payment
have been done, however. NO confirmation from Bricklink via mail, I only noticed
the orders by checking the order list. Also, no notification from Paypal, and
going through the transaction log from Paypal there is NO record of a transaction.

Now, unfortunately one order was shipped out, not thinking anything of it, as
the order page shows everything is OK.
But the other two is now on hold, until I get to the bottom of this. I think
there is widespread SQL injection going on into the order system at Bricklink.

IF any admins, Bricklink support reading here, it's order numbers 18944647,18963327,18968412
that I believe are fraudulent, and injected into the database.

Have anyone else noticed a similar event where order appear in their store, but
no notifications, and no payments taking place ?

Are you sure it is not a combination of:
(1) on Bricklink it shows that the order is configured to be paid through PayPal
(2) on Bricklink you see the buyer has marked the order as paid
(3) in your e-mail you see a message that you believe is from PayPal - but is
not; there have been many reports about this fake mails
(4) in PayPal you got confirmed that there has been no payment and thus that
there has not been a legitimate message from PayPal
(5) on the Bricklink forums, you get confirmed that this combination of events
is a common way of tricking you into shipping while no payment has come yet nor
will ever come.

Cases like this have been reported multiple times over the last weeks.
Report the fraudulent user(s) through https://www.bricklink.com/problemMember.asp

I will not process the orders until paypal confirmation have been received, I
have contacted all 3 users for completion of payment.

I would call PayPal with the number given and see if they have a record of it.
The buyer may have sent it to the wrong address if it was offsite.

Yes, this. When I get an order through IC, I get a notification from BL, not
from PayPal. Additionally, when I send out an invoice and it gets paid, I get
a notification from BL, and not from PayPal.

He did say there is not a payment showing in PayPal.

Simply check your PayPal account, if not paid then don't ship.

Maybe you can change the Paid status to Not Paid on BrickLink?

I would think if there was a system-wide problem like this, there would be quite
an outcry.

Check your spam folder for the notifications. BL apparently just changed something
about the email they send.
Is there anything unusual about the contents of the orders that makes you believe
a computer made it up?
Paypal was down for a bit there... perhaps a payment didn't go through?
If the sales weren't Instant Checkout, the buyers can mark their orders Paid
even without paying.
Have you asked your buyers if they had any issues?

Good luck,
Jen

Can you upload an image of your used LEGO sets, along with a statement that they
are old, second hand items and therefore you do not have original receipts.

I assume this is for a business Paypal account? I never heard of such a thing.
I set up my Paypal account as personal and they never asked for receipts for
my used legos. I have also seen some discussion about this on the Payypal community
forum - you can create a PDF doc which states that you are selling Legos from
your childhood and upload that to Paypal. It worked for someone else - maybe
it would work for you? I have also heard that if they are concerned with what
you are selling, they suddenly ask for receipts.
