| I'd love to get feedback on my splash page from buyers at Bricklink. I'd
like to understand a little bit of what's going through your mind if I made
the splash page the default tab when a buyer comes to my store.
The first 10 users to let me know their thoughts in this thread will receive
a 10% off coupon to my store.
Primarily, I'm looking for feedback on if the splash page makes you want
to stay on my store and shop or if it's annoying and you want to leave and
go to another store right away.
To participate:
1. Navigate to https://store.bricklink.com/ralphs_bricks&utm_content=globalnav#/splash
2. Come back and reply to this message with your thoughts and feedback.
3. I'll issue you a coupon whether the feedback is good or bad
Sincerely,
Ralph's Bricks

| Hello lego fans.
New to the forum and would appreciate some advice please.
I have over the years accumulated lots of 12v classic track for a layout I will
soon start building.
Wasn't apparent unit I just cleaned all the track the various degrees of
colour discolouration.
Sleepers are ok, just the rails.
Any recommendations on how I can clean all the track and preserver the original
colour.
Picture of two of the trains and some wagons.
Cheers,
Ed.

| Ok, so I was wondering if theres a collectors desire for manufacture error parts.
I know that prints on the wrong colour pieces are deffo desirable but what I
currently have are parts that the plastic either didn't quite fill up the
whole mould or seem to have been melted(?) during the manufacturing process.
Any thoughts or are they just trash?

| I have decided to open my store again which specialises in part kits and spares
and or repairs items.
My headline offer is the original space shuttle (8480) in fair condition and
with about 98% of parts, all motors worked when I dismantled it as did fibre
optics.
If you need any obscure parts send me a message, star wars, city, technic, thousands
of mainly small parts.
enjoy the shop if you visit, all parts not inventoried due to there being so
many, that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Author: | stansbrickstore | Posted: | May 7, 2021 11:22 | Subject: | Splitting old mixed lego into sets | Viewed: | 137 times | Topic: | General
| I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any advice if they've had a
similar problem.
A few years ago I bought a box of very old lego and I'm currently trying
to split it into sets to sell on Bricklink. Most of the sets are much older than
me, so I don't know any of them very well.
Basically it's a medium sized box of random parts from someone's collection,
the problem is that I'm really struggling to form incomplete sets from the
parts, as it seems that there is no more than 50% of any set.
For example I have a boat, which I believe is from set 314 (1976) because of
the stickers attached, but not many of the other pieces.
I also have one of the big red boat pieces from set 7244 (2005) and the sticker
sheet, but not many other pieces.
I also have lots of pirate minfigs, some of which I think have come from set
6258 (1992), but I'm really struggling to tell what set these come from as
lots of the pirates are present in multiple sets.
What I'm trying to ask is, does anyone have any experience with a similar
issue and if so do you think it would be better for me to continue trying to
split the box into sets, or should I sell the pieces all together in one big
bundle? Has anyone got tips for sorting used lego into sets?
Any advice is really appreciated, and I can provide photos if anyone is interested?
Many thanks, Stan.

| I started listing and selling here on Bricklink this year and it has been fun
to see where LEGO came from when it was my toy as a child 35 years ago.
I started buying sets, parting them out, filling up drawers and boxes and listed
it here.
Now sales are picking up and I am always sad to see some of the parts go and
some of the boxes getting empty. I know it is a great problem to have, but it
is also sad
I know I am weird, but am I the only one?

Author: | maxx3001 | Posted: | May 5, 2021 07:47 | Subject: | 375 and 6075 with a blue knight? | Viewed: | 97 times | Topic: | General
| Did LEGO originally mean for the light gray knight to be a blue knight?
Light gray was not a very normal color back then, but black, white, red and blue
were.
The castle is yellow, the light gray is used for helmets, weapons, shields and
vests.
The other visors are different from their light gray helmets, but are the same
color as the knights outfits.
White knight, white suit and white visor, red knight red suit and red visor,
black knight, black suit and black visor , blue knight, blue suit and light gray
visor???
This question came up recently again as I am going through my yellow castle sets
again.
And to give maybe a bit of evidence, here is an old picture of said knight.
What do you think?

| I believe it has been done before but is this still acceptable if the Lego side
goes through BL ?
I'm talking about a vintage/antique farmhouse table with drawers ( not sure
of age ) and two vintage/antique Lead garden planters ( real Lead not faux ).
All these are heavy and or sizeable, exchange only in U.K. and would have to
be collected.
Effectively the Lego would be sold to me and I pay with these goods rather than
currency.
If it is then anyone interested can contact me and we can try to work something
out, if it isn't then please ignore this message.

| It's been a crazy 12 months for me and the next 12 months look similar.
I've packed all my unlisted Lego as I'm hoping to move in the next few
months.
Just a heads up for anyone thinking of ordering from me in the near future, things
may change quickly.
I'm looking to rent to begin with which may prevent me from reopening until
I find a new home, the store may be closed for a long time.
Thank you to all my customers and thanks for all those that have sold me items
so far, also thanks to all those here on the forum that have kept me informed,
entertained etc, even if we don't always agree.
Here's to a new, even brighter future and if all goes well a bigger more
organised store.

in good shape are ok. Kids are aged 7-10, so age appropriate please. Looking
to spend $2-$4 per vehicle. Let me know if you have what I need, and any photos
if you've got them. Don't want 40 of the same vehicle, but 4-5 of each
is ok. No minifigs needed! Thanks for looking!

| With the help of the Bricklink Helpdesk (kuddos!) I finally managed to complete
the process of reverting my membership type to "buyer".
Hardly "newsworthy" I fully realize, but still very weird for me to see after
17 years of being a seller here. I've been playing with the idea for some
years now but always got pulled back into "the game".
Looking forward to this new perspective and to be able to focus on the hobby
instead of buying with commercial arguments in the back of my head (will take
some time adjusting I guess).
Also looking forward to many more years of doing business with so many fine stores
here on this platform and curious to see where the future together with TLC will
lead us!
A big thank you to all my buyers over those years, especially the returning clients!
It's been a privilege doing business with you.

| Hi
If I've read the latest e-mail from eBay correctly - they are going to stop
payments into Paypal and pay into your bank account instead.
If less money is going into paypal accounts, will it stop some buyers from purchasing
on Bricklink ? I know you can pay thru debit/credit cards on Paypal, but those
using their balance to buy will it affect them?
