40712-1 (Inv) Micro Rocket Launchpad
321 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2024
Sets: Space: Classic Space

I was just checking to see what's the average price, and there's a number
of sellers who has 50+ of this set somehow. The set was gift with purchase from
LEGO. Either someone placed multiple orders with LEGO to get 50+ sets or they
got it from another means.

Any idea how would someone get 50+ of 40712 sets legally?

those are all in china. rules are very different there. look at US only listings
its only 1-3 qty with one person having 10 as the most available.

Stunning in person. They're everywhere in this area just now, a popular tree
for many up here. Short lived though, they'll have dropped their blossom
in a couple of weeks. After first shifting from brilliant pink to white.

Seems every few homes have their trees blossoming just now. Makes for a wonderful

I'd arrive early just to wait under the canopy of their famous Japanese imported

Hey, I know that roundabout! That's Al Capone Lane

Seriously though, looks like a nice neighborhood. Late spring, or even Summer

My internet has been out since late Friday, and probably won’t be back up till
tomorrow minimum.(I’m using data)

But the sale will continue.

Happy buying tonight!

Thank you for honoring your sale, a man of his word!

Order placed for all the minifigs, sets, and various parts (so no need for local
pick-up after all).

Niek.

Well too bad for all the doubters that missed out
Saved me some money

Thanks for posting that the sale did happen too.

Just a heads up you might want to update your store banner. Unless you’re doing
another sale

Thanks for the tip, that could have ended poorly.

Will it work will a larger shipping method? The fig is still in the box, that

All Tires in Bricklink have the same problem now:

1) When mated to a Wheel, the tire always ends up on a corner of the "contact
patch" (the greenish box showing the size of the tire, rather than staying
on a side.

2) Any attempt to rotate the tire to a side results in all three rotation arrows
activating, and cause the entire model to rotate, regardless of which arrow is
used.

3) It is impossible to screenshot any of this, as any attempt to screenshot results
in the arrows being switched off.

This needs to be fixed yesterday.

You are on the wrong forum for this question as you are referring to Studio (the
3D modelling app), not Bricklink (the marketplace). See https://forum.bricklink.com

Most likely, you simply have turned the snap option off. This happens occasionally
to the best of people At the very least, at my end tires still do snap on
wheels. Also, this is a property of each part individually, so all wheel-tire
combinations failing at once is unlikely.

The symptoms you describe all match the turned off snap option. Objects not having
connected (1) always result in the rotation tool being shown instead of the hinge
tool (2) and as for screenshots (3), hitting the [PrintScreen] button should
capture the arrows as well.

Anyway, search the Studio forum.

You can use the WASD keys (configurable; step depends on the Grid; direction

That being said, the dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/
(hover over the red Studio icon on every page, then click “Studio Forum”).

Please search the forum for your question before posting a new one (the search

There’s indexes of known bugs and suggestions that you can browse first:

Thanks, don't mean to spam the forum, just usually don't build larger

Did the Julius Caesar thread get locked for being political? I thought people
would be over that after almost two millennia!

I would answer: If you know you've committed some egregious acts of late

invite you out to a late-nite party. Accept nothing - not even a pretzel - from

I don't have to Google jack, holmes. If Shakespeare's tragedy is even
remotely accurate, then Caesar's sin was in forming a plan culminating in
forcing the Senate into declaring him as king of Rome, a title which (again according
to quasi-historical whispers), caused Romans to break out in hives.

What the, Shakespeare! Now, slowly lowering yourself back down to Earth

Some of the bricks are not on the correct position, they seem to have lots of

I have been dealing with this problem since the past year, and I hoped it will
be fixed by now, but unfortunately, it remain unsolved.

Could you please advise on this matter?

Hi,

First, the dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/
(hover over the red Studio icon on every page, then click “Studio Forum”).

You can search the forum for your question before posting a new one (the search
box is in the very dark grey banner).
There’s also indexes of known bugs and suggestions that you can browse first:
Studio: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5579
PartDesigner: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5589

Then, there’s been a few bugs with the COLLADA export but, AFAIK, they have almost
all been fixed.

One thing that may happen though is a problem with submodels: it seems the submodels’
positions are not always understood (by Blender for instance).
The main thread is here: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6159
(And people alluded to it a couple times… but without specifics.)

So I would first try to release all the submodels before exporting.

Anyway, note that the COLLADA format doesn’t pose any problem to Eyesight (it’s
the same as the DAE sent to Eyesight, the Photorealistic renderer, based on Blender’s
Cycles).
Also, as you can see, the afore mentioned thread is short and has had no follow-up,
so I’m not sure it has been fixed and came back (doesn’t seem so but I don’t
have all the infos on the bugs) but what I’m certain of is that no one bumped
it.
I’m not saying that bugs always need to be bumped to be solved but it sure helps
to know people are interested in seeing them fixed

Hello I am trying to export COLLADA files from Studio 2.0, to import them on
3dsmax and I have this issue.
Some of the bricks are not on the correct position, they seem to have lots of
gaps.
I have been dealing with this problem since the past year, and I hoped it will
be fixed by now, but unfortunately, it remain unsolved.

Could you please advise on this matter?

I got the neck accessory on after about a halfhour of fighting, but now the head

Cool car

My younger brother built it about a year ago.
This is the 4th revision.

I just wanted to test the ability of studio, so I used this as a test.
Was very pleased with the results.

Hey fellow LEGO enthusiasts!

Theres link below to my Bionicle quiz. (made with google Forum). I centered it
around our beloved Bionicle universe! As part of my research Im doing for my
uni, I designed a super fun and challenging Bionicle quiz, and I thought I'd
share it with you all because who doesn't love a good quiz, especially when
it's about Bionicle, right?

You don't need to be a bionicle fan to do this! : D

International Women's Day (March 8th)

Normally, such a holiday would trigger a flurry of sales posts from sellers trying
to capitalize on the celebration, but alas, there was no such frenzy.

Perhaps the new limit of one sale post per month is preventing sellers from running
(or announcing) such holiday sales? https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1437060

At least one seller has decided to run a "March sale", grouping some
of the month's major holidays (International Women's Day, Ramadan, and
Saint Patrick's Day) into one: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1458584

I admit that International Women's Day came and went this year without my
notice, but rest assured without fail I notice the women themselves.

Yeah, and that’s a lot of steps.

Apart the time to bend the hose how you wish, it takes an extra 30 seconds, bof.

Yep, just like the BrickLink we wish.

But then one in the Forum will say "We need a MOC Shop" (or such idea)

No, I meant to make this I bend it in Leocad, then import it bent through Part
Designer in Studio. It's the way I know though, maybe there's easier?

“Studio can flex it” = https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/6481921905303-Flexible-parts
“…hahaha” = the part actually becomes an overcooked noodle, it’s stretched, and
it goes every which way but the one you want.

Did'nt know, and yes for the noodle aspect, I'll try to get a correct

So, no, you can’t import an LDraw file with flexed parts made in LeoCAD.  You
indeed need to go through another format to force LeoCAD to write the triangles
of the part when flexed, and then use PartDesigner.

I said it upper; you import or create the ldraw file in LeoCAD, there you can

Thanks for the infos!

No, I meant to make this I bend it in Leocad, then import it bent through Part
Designer in Studio. It's the way I know though, maybe there's easier?

“Studio can flex it” = https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/6481921905303-Flexible-parts

“…hahaha” = the part actually becomes an overcooked noodle, it’s stretched, and
it goes every which way but the one you want.

“importing the straight LDraw part” = if the hose is XX and you import a file
that just uses XX.dat, then you’re importing the unflexed part.  And, AFAICT,
LeoCAD doesn’t bend parts in its LDraw files.  It uses the part (XX.dat) and
adds a comment to tell itself how to bend the part when it will reload it.  That
comment is obviously not interpreted by PartDesigner or Studio (or LDView or
other LDraw tools).

So, no, you can’t import an LDraw file with flexed parts made in LeoCAD.  You
indeed need to go through another format to force LeoCAD to write the triangles
of the part when flexed, and then use PartDesigner.

(
I think something similar happens with LDCad, but with its own syntax of course.
LSynth ‘correctly’ uses subparts to make the flexed parts… but then it has
no UI.  And so you can keep everything in the LDraw format.  But you also end
up with multiple (sub)parts and no relation to the BrickLink part… so you generally
also go through PartDesigner to add that.
  IINM, MLCad uses LSynth.
For LDD, you can use lxf2ldr(.html), my converter(s), that generates() LSynth
commands (so you need LSynth too).
)

BTW, I just spent an hour on this, if you import an lDraw file containing a Hose
rigid 3mm in PartDesigner, then when you export to Studio it shows an "empty"
(void) part.

Same if directly importing a Hose rigid 3mm in PD and Export it to Studio.

Hmm, it must be because the part is flexible in Studio.  But that’s weird.

The exported part simply says “use XX.dat,” where XX.dat is the 3D model for
the hose.  So Studio sees it the same way as the flexible part… well, I’m not
clear on why that prevents Studio from showing it but that’s the only lead I
have

The only way it works is:
* create or import the lDraw in Leocad,
* export as Wavefront (.obj),
* import in PD,
* export to Studio.

In that case, you’re exporting a new 3D model, not linked to the part’s (file)name.
So Studio doesn’t have it in its database.

Maybe it could also work if you simply fed PD the XX.dat of the part but under
another filename.
(Studio doesn’t have the subparts/primitives u9053.dat (end) and 77.dat (hose
section) as parts and even less as flexible parts, so there should be no need
to do the rename dance further down the hierarchy.)

Or, depending what's your doing, simply opening the lDraw in Studio, copy
this part(s) and past if (them) in Studio.

Or just directly use the part that’s in Studio, no?

But what about the other regular minifigure legs? Were there any that were removed?
It seems to me like the amount on Stud.io is less than it used to be.

I don’t think so: Studio never removes parts just for the fun of it   But I
also haven’t memorized all the decorated parts.
Oh, I just remembered I have a file with all the minifig parts for BDP4… and
they are still there.

So maybe you’re remembering wrong or you’re filtering by colour or in the wrong
palette.
See the help page: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/8117942037911-Missing-parts
or the Parts FAQ https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6368 for more
info about that.

I was probably just remembering wrong. Thanks!

Well, the Faun/Animal legs aren’t in Studio now and they weren’t there as of

There were ugly converted-from-LDD 3D models and those were cleaned and made

IDK about Mecabricks but LeoCAD can’t create it for you if you don’t download

save as .obj, and import this is Part Designer,

If you’re going through PD, there’s no reasons to go through a .obj file: PD
can import the LDraw .dat file.
