I started building my Rivendell set on April 16th. I still have all of book 3
to build which by the way is 25 bags to build the middle section. I may finish
it sometime this year!

How do you do that? There’s goons keeping you off of it?
I don’t think I ever managed to not finish a build. Sleep is overrated!

Yes, there is sleep (I get 4-6 hrs. a night), but in truth it is the 3,000+ sq
ft house I have to maintain, 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren,
4 cats (they take a LOT of my time, and to top it all off my LEGO business.
I consider myself lucky if I get to spend 2-3 hours a week building one of my
own sets.

New items can take a while to get added as there is always a massive backlog

So bricklink prioritizes new sets that people will be more likely to part out
and similar and since a whole bunch of lego sets were just released with the
June wave it can take a while to get to old requests. Bricklink likes to prioritize
the ones that provide the most commercial benefit first they work on the other
ones as they have time since there are only a limited number of people who are
working behind the scenes
