Why do you have shipping costs to Australia set to AUD $1000 or more?
|
It’s not the shipping that’s AUD 1000 or more. It’s that their store can’t accept
orders from Australia below AUD 1000.
bricks_dakine:
An Onsite payment method is mandatory for BL to be able to collect the
taxes.
That means PayPal Onsite (not Paypal) or Stripe.
If the order is not paid this way, buyer and sellers are liable for tax evasion:

BrickLink collects taxes in these situations:
— US Sales tax: most US buyers, when they buy from any seller for any amount,
— UK import VAT: UK buyers, when they buy from non-UK sellers for less than £135,
— EU import VAT: EU buyers, when they buy from non-EU sellers for less than €150.
— Australian GST: GST buyers, when they buy from non-AU sellers for less than
AU$1000.
(UK/EU VAT and AU GST are directly paid by the buyer for other amounts. Domestically
(intra-UK / intra-EU / intra-AU), it’s handled by the sellers when necessary.)

These onsite payment rules are getting annoying.
BrickLink Admins really should rethink what they're putting both sellers
and buyers through!
Cheers ...

Author: | LordBricks | Posted: | Jun 1, 2023 15:21 | Subject: | Is this also a forum for LEGO Ideas? | Viewed: | 148 times | Topic: | Designer Program | |
| (If there's a better forum for these questions please let me know!)
Regarding the Ideas builds on ideas.lego.com - these are just builds by people
not working for LEGO, right? Are all the parts existing LEGO parts, or do
they somehow make new ones themselves? For instance, mini-figures for a new theme.
Do they just find existing heads and torsos that resemble what they are trying
to achieve? And how does this work with themes that include IP from some other
source not licensed by LEGO? For example, there's a Mr. Roger's Neighborhood
set. As far as I can tell, LEGO never made a Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood set.
So how does the designer and LEGO deal with the licensing issue (the likeness,
the TV set, the names, etc. ) to display it on their Ideas website before it's
an official set and before LEGO has licensed that IP?
Also, do the Ideas designers print custom stickers or do they only use existing
decorated peices? And if they print stickers that include another company's
IP that LEGO has not licensed, how are they able to display those?
Thanks!

Been some times I haven’t travelled near Chartres but it’s all flat there. You
can see the cathedral hours before you’re actually close to it.
(You know, the usual “How much farther?” from the backseats and the front seat
answers “Not far! Here’s the bell tower” and one hour later it’s at the same
place )

| Good afternoon! I had hoped to re-open today but I'm feeling a bit beat-up after my adventures in France. I am planning on next Monday - hopefully I'll be better able to pick orders then.

In the meantime please enjoy this picture of my son and me in front of the Cathedral
