A warning to sellers not to just blindly trust the shipping address supplied
by PayPal. Always check the Bricklink shipping address, and if there's a
difference, check it with the buyer.

I was using the immediate payment feature and when the Paypal dialog came up,
it showed an old address (one I haven't used in 10 years) as the default
shipping address. When I clicked on the drop-down, it offered up around 20 different
addresses; a few old ones, many more malformed or mixed-up addresses. I picked
the right one that matched my Bricklink address, my current listed Paypal address,
and the address of the credit card I'd be paying with. Yet when I check the
transactions in Paypal, it still sent the old address that it decided was the
'default' anyway.

I don't know if Bricklink has any control over that part of the form, or
if it was all down to Paypal, but it seems the address Paypal supply for the
transaction is not to be trusted.

They contacted me and let me know the issue, I asked if they would send the flowerpot
back if I send them a prepaid return label with their Death star. They said,
of course.

I have been quite dreary for weeks since my depression is on overdrive and it
is hard to get motivated to do much. But, I tell my self, I got my customer's
money, I owe them their order. It helps to blow the dark clouds away for a while.
I guess I need to pay more attention when I am feeling like this.

But, it all worked out in the end, which is nice.

What was your biggest Bricklink OOPS as a buyer or seller?

I came across a seller that has listed a set as New Sealed. They then added the
info, "100% complete, all minifigs included, instructions and box included.
Stickers not applied."

So, is this a used set that is complete? Why add all this extra info if the set
is in fact sealed as everything would be in the sealed box.

Has anyone else come across this before?

Hello. I think you know the lego set with the Mercedes F1 car and the Mercedes

Hi Everyone,

I shipped out a big order to a guy with 51 figures in it. I examine each figure
with a magnifying glass to ensure they are in the condition I stated. I never
ship out or sell cracked figures unless I describe it as such. This buyer is
claiming that nearly 10 figures have cracked arms. Sent me pictures which there
is NO WAY I sent out figures with cracked arms. He wants a lot of money back,
and before I replied to his demands he filed a "non shipping seller alert???"
I shipped it out in a box with tons of bubble wrap and purchased insurance (though
I certain the post office did not damage it).

What do I do? He cannot be telling me the truth. He has 14 positive feedbacks
for buying and 41 for selling...so he is mainly a seller.

Additionally...he emailed me like 10 times asking me the same question over and
over and over again about when I shipped, did I ship? What did I ship etc.

I am so worried that my rating will be affected. I take great pride in selling
on here.

I would like to turn the clear plate around so it fits edge to edge, but as the
centres are both able to receive a stud they don't fit. Is there a stud to
stud joint? i cant use a bar as the bar with claw isnt long enough to go through
the grey to then hold the inverted clear. I need some form of claw on the back
hence the stud on the rear as its being mounted to a bar.

I'm selling my old used sets, without box, with instructions.
The sets are marked as used condition and complete.
So there is no original LEGO box.

When a buyer adds a set that can easily be fit into an envelope, BrickLink still
assumes the size of the original box as shipping size. As a result it automatically
over estimates the real shipping costs and assumes a package.

As a result people won't buy or are paying more for shipping then real costs,
which is illegal in our country.

How can I fix this? How can I let BrickLink handle the used sets without box
as having the same volume as the lose parts? So having the same shipping costs
and volume as if people would add all parts separately to the shopping chart?

It came back asking for a s10 code. After some Googling found out this a special
code for sending parcels to Brazil. Anyone experience with this how to get one

Hi, looks like my auto invoice is broken.

Did the blabber at the beginning of an invoice that Bricklink put in (hidden
until you send the invoice) is gone. I reset the default and it's still
gone. That broke my auto invoices for orders that are not instant checkout.

Did that get changed? That's an awful big change with no notice!!

If I'm missing something please inform me so I can fix it.

On our orders received page we have an order that the customer chose "Manual"
checkout. We sent him an invoice and he paid but we can not change the "Order
Status" to Paid. We have the options of Pending, Processing, Ready and Packed.
We can choose any of the four options and then hit the "Submit Changes"
button and usually if we picked "Packed" and hit the submit button we
could then change it to "Paid" but now that option is not present. We
have tried to set the status to all four choice but we do not have the option
to set is as paid after any of the four options so we can not change the status
to "Paid" or "Shipped".

I hope this makes sense.

I have an order - there is a problem and the buyer already paid. I have sent
1 BL message and 2 emails to their email. So far no response. I need advice
on how to proceed - should I refund the 1 part which is not in stock ( inventory
glitch) and ship ? or wait for the buyer to respond. They are new to BL .

Or do I wait a week and then cancel the order, refund in full ?

I have a problem with part 973p48c01 forestman.
I found two minifigs with same pattern but also not the same.
The difference is in collar colour. One is definitely brown and one is red.
I'm not able to find any information about colour differences in whole ethernet.
Bricklink don't say anything about colour differences.
Some pages say that this part has maroon collar and others that it's red.

So I was mid-sale with a bricklink seller, had confirmed twice I was intending
to purchase the item once he'd confirmed shipping cost (he was the one who
told me to wait). I confirmed again once actual shipping cost was advised - and
the item is still sitting in my cart - and then I hear nothing for two days until
he tells me oh sorry, someone else just bought it. Grrrrr
Would it not have been more ethical for him to tell the second person 'sorry'
and continue the sale with the first purchaser (me)?

Now the parcel seems to be lost .

I am new to this process. Ordered my first 2 sets last week. The first set came
mostly assembled. Taking it apart 2 of the pieces broke on the perimeter edge.
Seems like a manufacturer defect to me. Seller obviously did not know of this
since it was assembled. Do I still hold them accountable? Not trying to be a
pain. Just want to know what the expectations are.

Hi all!

I'm trying to search one specific store for the items in my Wishlist. I
found some info on BL itself saying:

"Tip: Click on the "Show All Items this store has on my Wanted List"
link in the left menu of any store to view all items that store has which are
on your wanted list."

I can't for the life of me find this option or any way to do this type of
search.

Basically i'm buying 1 minifig from a seller and want to see if they have
any of my other required items whilst at it.

Good morning

I’ve received a double PayPal payment, but only a single order. It’s a new buyer
with zero feedback.

They’d sent me an odd message during the week about trying to get their PayPal
account setup with no other comms so I had expected an order.

I presume I can just refund one of the payments directly from PayPal itself?
Or is there a likelihood that PayPal will somehow recognise the duplication and
do it automatically?

I only ask, as I’m uncertain how the buyer has managed to do this, and don’t
want to refund if the buyer/PayPal resolve it directly and I end up with zero
payment due to my ‘jumping the gun’.

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know why the prices of sold parts seem inaccurate when you go back
and look at your price paid under the last 6 months sales data? For example,

I purchased a bunch of figures for EUR 1.76471 and it says I bought them for
$2.25. This is saying the exchange rate is 2.25/1.76=1.278. The conversion between
USD and EUR is currently closer to a 8% difference than 28% from my understanding.


The reason this is very problematic is I watched the the Qty average price over
the last 6 months go up substantially on this figure when my purchase price was
lower than the Qty average price. Can someone explain to me what goes into BLs
equation or are the conversions purely off by close to 20% from EUR to USD? I
see this often and must be missing something...

Hello everybody!

I stumbled upon a seller who definitely is breaking Seller Terms of Service,
point 1.2.8.
(does not have exact quantity for sale).

This seller has EVERY part that PAB offers, for a very small price, in huge quantities.
He sells nothing else, no sets, no minifigs, only parts available right now on
Pick A Brick section.

He has in his terms that orders will take 10 days to process, 2 days to invoice
and so on.
It is obvious orders for parts that he gets, he will turn around and buy on lego.com,
wait for it to get to him and THEN he will ship it to the buyer. He does not
have these parts on hand.

Is this something BrickLink and its community should allow?

What do you think?

Anybody have problems with the black 11208 wheel. I just put together set 60285
and most of the wheels would hardly turn. I swapped these out with the same wheels
from set 60336 and they worked fine...so it was the wheels not the vehicle frame.
I put in a request for 4 replacements as I have never got this poor quality on
wheels spimming from LEGO.

Hey All,

I've recently bought an NISB Home Alone Set for investment. This is my first
one, and I may be a little hypersinsitive:

I met the seller in person at his house, and when he lifted up the box - holding
that on the sides - pushed in the dotted part. Not sure what to call it, but
it looks like just a handle or sth where the box needs liting from...or not...

He offered full refund in case I don't want it.
But before I would do that, I would need your advice, as it was a pretty good
deal.

Is it really a big issue? Are my chances blown?

I was walking though a museum gift shop a while back and noticed that there were
Lego books in the welsh language, they varied from classic lego to some major
themes like harry potter, ninjago and lego DC superheroes. Afterwards i wanted
to check if there were any on bricklink and noticed that they were not even catalogued.

I'm hoping a member or Administrator will see this and be able to provide
some guidance.

System logged me off and I'm unable to log back in. I believe the issue is
that I had a six digit password but I see now that an eight digit password is
required.

It doesn't like my password now. I get the "ID or Password Mismatch!"

I've tried to do a password reset but an email does not get sent to make
this happen.

My user name is "jeffhau" (I created this new account to be able to post here).
My store name is THEREISNOSPOON.

I'm really at a loss here as I've sent messages to Help Desk with no
response. I've tried everything I can think of to get back in my account
but no success.

I'm guessing now that I have unfulfilled orders in my store not yet invoiced
so that's not good. BrickLink is a needed source of income for me as well
so obviously it's not good in that regard.

Hopefully someone out there can provide information that can remedy this problem.

in the meantime I write this thread BL team works for fix the latest bug ( as
many post in the forum ).

I would thanks them for their commitment!

Is the first time that BL has an important tool broken for one day.

I don't know anything about software & hardware, I'm secure that manteniance
on this site is an hard job, but lately there are many problems here.

There are many seller here as hobbysts, but many others are Professional Seller,
much of those have employees, and move much money as profict & taxes. They pay
BL fees, so BL ''must'' respect them!

Today happen a big problem, and for umpteenth time nobody ( by BL ) put his face
here, and ask for excuse. This is frustrant.

So I close my shop next Monday, as a protest.

And I invite all sellers to do the same thing.

Please note: I accept TOS, but averything have a limit!

Dear friends, I am facing some strange problem.
I am sorry, if it is common issue, but I didn’t find any information about it
yet.
I browse some stores here, add stuff to my basket and at that time I am usually
logged out. When I wish to checkout I am logging in and some strange magic happens
- all the prices in my basket increase. And increases are relatively big.
For example torso priced 3.5 euro after login costs 4.5 euro, set priced 15 Euro
after login changed price to 20 Euro. So, increase may be up to 25%. I don’t
understand it.
I may understand that some shipping fees may be recalculated, but change of
the price of items itself is really confusing. And I buy stuff from EU shops
with delivery to EU state…

Does anybody know why this happens or how to avoid it?

Disappear after placing their orders. Nearly 13% of all orders from 0 feedback
buyers.

Have had a spurt of these over the last couple of months - IC is not the answer
for us we need another tool or option, perhaps where we can set a minimum feedback
level for a buyers first order - an option of course and that would allow stores
to choose rather than Bricklink.

"Studio" had the same issue, and was resolved by going to the top of page section
"Studio", then "Download", then clicking the link that says "Mac" at the bottom
of the page under where it says "Latest Version" in a green box.

There is no link like this under "Latest Version" on the "Part Designer" side
though.


This is what is happening when I open "Part Designer": 2 notices appear, the
first reading, "Part Designer 2.22.4_1 has been released and is required to run.
Please update now to continue using the application." when I click the "update"
button it opens "Patcher" to a notice reading "BrickLink Studio V2.1 has been
released. Would you like to update now?". It then opens a blank page in "Patcher"
and never loads.

I would greatly appreciate a solution to this if there is one.

Hi
I've made a mistake.
I parted out a set using Brickstore and then uploaded it to my inventory. In
the middle of this somehow I ticked the concatenate option. Which it did.
The problem is, right now I have no idea which of my parts from the set have
added to another item in my inventory.
Does this make sense? one example i have manually found is:
I added part WHITE NEW PLATE 3666 x 2.
I already had 17. So now I have 19 BUT they are all against the remark - R2
which is my existing location not my new location with the date added from 3
months ago.
How do I find the other items I have added. I reckon there is only around 10
luckily but right now they are in my inventory in the wrong location.

Ok placed an order in the UK and received the shipment of classic space pieces.
Nine printed pieces were ordered and received one wrong print, three others with
undisclosed damage (paint and glue on the pieces), and a wrong type vertical
u clip. Seller stated they would see if replacements were available ASAP and
if not a refund would be issued. Now there is no communication. Even after emailing
them.

10/7 order placed
10/9 order invoiced and paid
10/11 shipped
10/21 received and messaged seller via Bricklink of discrepancies
10/26 messaged again and emailed asking them to read Bricklink messages. Received
note about apologies and will look for replacements ASAP.
10/29 asked if any luck with replacements
11/1 Notified via email unfortunately no replacements are available and a refund
would be issued shortly.

I don't want to keep messaging and I understand that this is a hobby. I have
a very small Lego budget with little room for extra.

Am I being unreasonable? I have no issue sending the wrong or damaged pieces
back on the sellers dime.

What is a reasonable amount of time for a partial refund?
What is my timeframe before nothing can be done?

I'm adding some minifigures to my inventory today and noticed something odd.

I have already 2 off NEX072 in my inventory, and trying to add another 2. But
in step 3 (verify) it mentions I only have 1 in current inventory and total will
become 3.

I have done this many times before. Is this a mistake on BL side, or am I missing

Is anyone familiar with the following problem?

A buyer disagrees with the invoice because I overcharged him with 0.15€ (rounding
difference) He then also requested for me to send without Track & Trace (Netherlands
- Greece). Given the way the communication was going between us I wasn't
going to do that, and offered to him that he could also cancel if he wanted.

He did cancel and then gave me a negative feedback. (I have 267 postive feedbacks
and ha no negative feedbacks)
The reason was that I was not following my own terms, which is technically true.
But he didn't pay and he cancelled the order himself even
I have request Bricklink to remove (pending still)

Just curious if anyone has experienced something similar and how that ended.

Need Advice,

I shipped 2 sets and a collectable minifig to a buyer. He is claiming that that
I misrepresented the condition of used sets from the 90'sand 2000's.
He sent pictures but his claims that the condition is "terrible" is barely noticeable.
I am willing to refund him if he send the sets back complete as they are quite
valuable, but he claimed that repacking and shipping it was "Ridiculous" While
we were emailing and messaging on Bricklink he filed for a refund on PayPal for
half of what the set is worth.

What do I do now?

I am the seller - an order was paid for and then cancelled and refunded in full.
I still received a sellers fee of $7.68 that I thought would be reversed and
it still has not 2 months later. My store is temp suspended now and received
an email that it could be permanent if they dont receive payment by 10/15. Have

So quick question why whenever you click on the specific minifigure Princess

the hair listing complete changes and defaults to not the one in the picture?

both the save as pdf and print to pdf feature. If you try saving to pdf the text
is minute even scaled up to over 200% and if you print to pdf the text is not
editable as it should be or was.

Before the last 24 hours, I have never seen Bounced as a Payment Status,
either in my Orders Placed or Orders Received. Now, however, it has occurred
twice. And I've been selling for over 15 years.

In my Orders Received, the order from a new buyer from Canada, who previously
had positive FB of 5 and no negatives or neutral, changed from Received to Bounced
the previous evening. In this case, I couldn't find any payment activity
regarding the order whatsoever in my PayPal account, so the jury's still
out on that one. I've contacted the buyer, and we're still ironing out
what happened.

But then, this morning, on an order from a buyer with over 130 positive FB (and
also no negatives or neutrals) from the USA, the Payment Status on that order
also changed from Received to Bounced. Last night, I know it was "Received" because
I happened to take a screenshot at 9:39 PM (2139 CST) for entirely different
reasons. What is more puzzling, my PayPal history shows that buyer's received
payment four days before (Sept 22nd), and nothing in that history showing that
payment being rescinded. For the record, neither does my bank account.

So my question to anyone who wants to chime in is: WTH is going on?

Hi so I have now been trying to get in contact with customer service since Thursday.
The ticketing system isnt working- every time I click on the link to the ticket
it says it doesnt exist or that I dont have access. When I try to sign in it
says I dont have an account. I have left messages on instagram, , twitter and
faecbook. The only reply was from instagram and said my account had been blocked
in error and was restored - it isnt - this is my only income at the moment and
is a big problem .

Does anyone have a contact at bricklink ?
why arent they listening or responding ?
Anyone have an actual real person I can talk to ?

Way back in 2013 I bought a very large number of LOR sets and splitted them,
offering the parts and kept the minifigs as an investment. I now offer part of
my stock in my shop. recently I sold one of the Grima's (lor072)I have.

After receiving the shipment I was contacted by the buyer that he wanted to return
the figure because he thought the grima was fake, because

" I have a question about the Grima minifigure you sent. Your shipped Lego figure
will not have as rounded shoulders as most other Lego minifigures. They are sharper."

As I am very sure I shipped genuine figures, can this be explained?

I offered the buyer to return, because I want my buyers to feel comfortable with
what they bought.

I got a piece of the Lego factory in my Lego curved slope. Fortunately I found
it before I packed it in my customer's order.

My overhead light hit it just right otherwise I probably would not have found
it. Looks to be a small metal shaving that got mixed in with the pellets while
being molded.

The back was hard to see with my strobe (flash) going off, so it is grainy due
to low light.

Found this interesting and a first for me. This is one of the reasons I do not
enter 100% of the quantity of parts in my inventory.

Hello. I contacted the helpdesk last week but have not heard back. A newer buyer
placed an order and chose Paypal Onsite. I invoiced him. He emailed back (last
week), sent the money order today. I can't make any changes to the order
because everything is blocked (grayed out). I emailed the helpdesk asking to
see how to fix this and update the order so I can mark it as paid and ship it
out. I also need to get the sales tax to bricklink and I'm not sure how that
works.

Can anyone help? The buyer has feedback so I'm not sure how other sellers
are correcting this issue or if they are just leaving the order open and shipping
it out? But, then I would have an open pending order until it dropped off in

A shop where I have a cart has an item which is no longer available. I wanted

I have a question, I have mistype a amount in the Tax BrickLink collected box
at the Invoice page. I have then (to make sure that I doesn't make this mistek

Then I return to my invoce page, but now I can't put in a shippping amount

0.00 euro. But when I returned to my invoice page, the box isn't there.

I have log off, wait a few minutes. but the box isn't there anymore. (and
it's still checked in the setting page. Is this a bug? And I can't invoice
that person now.

Now we have no completed NSS (you checked that they were solved before were completed
and changed NSS status to pending, so we could put correct status, thanks for

We also have no any active NSS

But store is still suspended (reason - 3 completed NSS)

Can you please write us what should we do to change it?

Maybe BL can implement a simple limit on the number of messages that a 0 or
1 feedback seller to like 5 a day or something as a temporary solution to the
scam/spam emails? Just a thought for a simple measure.

I really feel like we are destroying our own forum by allowing the trolls to
take over healthy conversations.

In my opinion, responding the the trolls dilutes anything positive coming out
of our forum by allowing the troll to set the tone, pissing off/on people, and
acting like the children these trolls are.

Trolls want one thing. Attention, and boy do we give it to them! We need to
stop and begin starving them of this attention by not responding and they just
might take their vitriol somewhere else.

Instead of responding to the trolls, and thus spending your precious time and
energy on them, spend your time and energy on yourself, your shop, or MOC.

What do you think our buyers think when they come to the forum and see all of
these useless messages of bickering back and forth?

Do you think they might avoid asking for help, thus avoiding an attack by a troll
themselves?

Do you think they may go somewhere else to buy their Lego to avoid this hostility
and silliness?

At best, it means nothing to them. At worst, we lose a sale. I would prefer
we err on the side of caution, and just leave the trolls to rot in their own
sad, childish little world.

Don't try to argue with a fool, they will just bring you down to their level
and beat you over the head with their experience.

In my opinion, trolls are bullies, just ignore them since we already have terms
in place for bullies who go too far, therefore, save your time and do not feed
the trolls.

In my opinion, trolls are not smart, nor logical, and you are not likely going
to bring them to your side of the argument, therefore, save your time and do
not feed the trolls.

In my opinion, trolls want to try to get a reaction out of you, this is what
gives them satisfaction and power since they can't get satisfaction nor power
by anything constructive in their sad little useless lives, therefore, save your
time and do not feed the trolls.

I feel so honoured! I finally got the 'everything shop' spam message
that a lot of other members have been getting.

mine was from 'wspam_97raj.fr' - so seems like they're not even trying
very hard - even including spam in the name of the account!

I've obviously reported it but surely bricklink can do something to prevent
all these obvious spam accounts being setup in the first place?

Dear BrickLink Team,

Here is the timeline of my story. Hope it clarifies and impove the situation
ASAP.

Dec 21, 2021: I registered to the OSS system since I predicted that I
was going to reach the threshold in Q1 / Q2 of 2022.

Mar 15, 2022: I moved to another location, my address was changed in my
account and store settings which I also stated on my Splash page to avoid confusion.

Mar 29, 2022: Threshold was indeed reached during Q1 2022 so I enabled
the distance selling option in my store settings and uploaded the confirmation
e-mail of my OSS registration which my local tax authority sent me. That's
the only confirmation I have, they didn't send me and official document,
just this e-mail. It contains my name, address, OSS-ID (same as my local VAT-ID)
and my tax-ID.

Apr 1, 2022: Started to charge VAT on EU orders.

Jun 30, 2022: BrickLink's distance selling feature broke, started
to receive EU orders without VAT (I'm in VAT exempt status locally), other
seller reported their EU orders included VAT using their local VAT rate. See
below.

Aug 1, 2022: Opened a ticket with number 339-2A7AEA6F-0005. No answer
received yet.

Aug 3, 2022: cs_anastasia sent me a message that my OSS document has been
rejected. No reason was given so I replied to her message to clarify right away
but I haven't received a reply since then. I'm just guessing but the
problem could be that my old address is shown on the document (which was provided
for the OSS registration back in Dec 2021, as mentioned I moved and changed my
address during Mar 2022). I contacted my local tax authority if they could issue
a new document, I'm waiting for their answer.

Aug 5, 2022: Received an e-mail this morning with title "[Action required]
You may be required to enable distance selling on BrickLink".

Well it feels totally unprofessional that the BrickLink Team is sending out such
e-mail while my distance selling option is enabled since the end of March and
I'm collecting VAT since April 1st. I already paid the amount of VAT I've
been collected during Q2 2022 to my local tax autority.

I would be very happy if BrickLink Team's communication and problem solving
capabilities would improve and you would listen to us, sellers.

I run my business full time so I depend on it and on BrickLink very much. Please
help me out and solve this issue ASAP.

I placed an order 4 weeks ago, the seller marked order as “shipped” the next
day.
By request seller eventually sent a tracking number on July 13th (3 weeks ago
today) and has not responded to several emails since then. When I look up the
tracking number, USPS indicates that they have not received the package yet.
There is no indication on the store’s page that they are on vacation or closed
or anything.
The order is for $130, and after 7 years of good transactions on Bricklink, I’ve
finally gotten frustrated with an unresponsive seller.
My question is…how much longer should I wait before starting an NSS form or PayPal
claim?

I'm sorry I didn't know where to put this. I recently contacted a seller
(blue brick rating) about a high value minifig (95 USD for used) and asked for
photos. They responded with photos that showed the torso missing a very distinctive
pattern. Considering the price and I guess relative fame of this piece, am I
overthinking things when I find this kinda suspect? Is there something I should
do about this? What's goin on here?

Hi.

I bought the 10261 roller coaster a while back, and built it this weekend, but
unfortunately it was a disappointment, as the trains will not run down by themself,
there are way too much friction. I have seen videos from reviews where it works
perfectly, so I wonder if anyone else have had the same problem as me?

It's not that I haven't built it properly or something like that,
and it is not even close to working, with either a train nor a single car. If
I manually push one car from the top with a lot of force I can get it to come
up the first up-hill after the initial drop, but there is no way I can make it
go around the bend to the next down-hill. And it is the same everywhere else
on the track, i.e. starting a train with the break-wheel will not get it past
the first bend to the elevator-track.

I have noticed in this set as well as in some other sets that I have bought recently
that the feel of the bricks are different, the plastic feels kind of rubbery
to the touch, and I have assumed that lego have changed the type of plastic they
use. Anyone else that have noticed this and/or know if they have changed their
plastic in the last 2 years or so?

My thought is that it is a new plastic, and that is has more friction (both for
the wheels to rotate, as well as towards the track), and the reviews I've
seen that is four years old had the old plastic. Otherwise I don't know what
it could be. It was a sad final to hours of building
