You have 3 lots in your store that are BLY you could compare it with those.
Just go to your inventory, and choose by color, then Bright light yellow or just
click

but have nothing to compare it to.

Who knows, Perhaps his was a misprinted one. Recently bricklink removed a lot
of prototype parts since most of them were illegally made so the few normal ones
mixed in would have gotten removed as well.

I bought one from a seller here, and when I was going to order one more, it went
out of stock with the seller. He states that he got it from a shipment from a
Legoland in Florida. Don't know how to verify it though???

The plain BLY minifig head seems to have disappeared from the DB???

I think it is currently out of stock from any seller (?)

But why is it now gone on the list of colors for this part?

For me its so much more then a toy but it was a toy as a kid playing castle and
pirates with brothers and sisters.

But after 40 plus years later its beautifull to see the creativity of minds across
the world from kids of today or designers of tomorrow

Maybe someday they would make rubber legs and arms

How many years before they discolour, harden and finally crack?

Push a bar through the centre of hinge plate, being careful not to bust a side
off. Just be slow and careful.

To Me Lego is a beautiful collection of plastic bricks. These bricks can be made
into hundreds, millions and even billions of things.

Lego can come as a set with instructions. A group of pieces to build anything.
Maybe even a character from Muppets or Looney Tunes.

I have been building Lego for years and it has helped me with everything. When
I'm down or annoyed I like to sit down at my Lego table and build away.
Some of my MOC projects can least a few weeks (Lego Minecraft Ghast MOC). And
others can only take a few days, (Lego Christmas Tree Ornaments).

I just love to sit down at the end of a long day and build something with Lego.
I love going onto YouTube and seeing some cool new Lego Set Leaks. I am hyped
everyday because I know that there will always be something cool on the Bricklink
Forums or something on The Brothers Brick.

I can't explain how much Lego has helped me over the years. And as I know
hundreds of people around me also share my love of Lego.

As the years have gone by Lego has changed so much. They have gone from basic
sets like Lego Police Patrol Car (Set #600) to beautiful masterpieces like the
Lego Vintage Typewriter (Set #21327).

I have grown up with Lego around me for the past 10 years. Even as a young kid
I played with Duplo.

I thank Lego for its HUGE role in my life and the amount of happiness it has
brought me.

That is just the 3D images. They look like that from their "bent knees" and "twisted
hips".

They wont actually come out like that.

A lot of the illegitimate figures are sold as "prototypes".
They are not.

Exactly. The word prototype is being used to make out these are parts made by
LEGO for testing and on some rare occasions manage to escape from factories,
whereas in reality they are parts illegitimately made (in some cases made to
order) for the collectors' market.

Any ideas?

It is highly likely that they escaped a LEGO factory. Mexico, maybe? Tons of
interesting things come from bored LEGO factory employees.

These are just the stylized images aren't they? Where they bend hips, knees,
elbows, etc.

Yes, I just got some at my local Fred Meyer (Kroger) and can confirm Waldorf
is just a regular minifig torso and legs. These are easy to find with the feel
method.

These are just the stylized images aren't they? Where they bend hips, knees,

Pick a brick has become a joke since the change. Only 1227 items of 12582 in
stock, that is less than 10% of the items in stock. It had only been getting
worse since it was changed over.

It has been my experience that if you order both bestsellers and standard parts,
you will only get VIP applied properly (when they ship) on bestsellers and I've
had to call to get my points on standard parts when they arrive at my home, they
do not get applied when shipped like bestsellers.

...end of rant. Thanks for listening.

They shut down the standard parts on April 20th for an undefined reason. The
notice originally said they expected it to be back up at the beginning of May
but that has since been changed. The current message says:

"We’re sorry but we’re unable to place new orders for Pick a Brick Standard parts.
Any orders placed before April 20 will take 5-6 weeks from the time they were
placed to be delivered. We’ll update you on LEGO.com once we’ve started back
up again."

They are probably just doing some kind of maintenance or some re-evaluating of
which parts will be available from that service. On the initial transition they
started holding back new parts/colors.

-Pete

Guess which parts I bought there? New parts and colours.

At this point for me I'm willing to yield a little to these issues only because
my Wanted list is tough to fill on BL and would have to sell many Souls vs I
can get about 7/8 of my wanted list through PaB for almost half the price. Even
some of the wheel sets large wise are far better priced than the markup on BL.
At least for some of the Newer stuff. Clearly BL has the market for more rare
out of mold stuff but between the two I like my options better now having the
new system on line. Even if we are currently handcuffed.

I think for these others, you'll have to search for parts to put them together.
Here are some that might help:

Part No: 87756pb01 Name: Minifigure, Head, Modified Shark with Fin with White Eyes and Teeth, Dark Blue Splotches Pattern
*

For Harley Quin, search for "jester"

That sounds odd. I have a basket - still there but presumably unable to check
out - for an order I was putting together in the couple of days before they closed
Standard purchases. I was still seeing ~12k items available and in stock on PAB
at that point, probably around the 18th/19th April. This is UK, but shouldn't
be any different for Standard orders.

Yeah it has changed. I guess though you can use BL or maybe Ebay. You can buy
heaps of elements in bulk there.

Thanks, however, I can see the message, but I was tracking this phenomenon since
the first of the April and availability was steadily falling with standard parts.
There are currently 12 standard items you can still add to your cart, so the
notice is not completely true.

On April 1, there were 7163 standard parts available. Then on April 8, there
were 3451 standard parts, on the 15th there were 1779, and today after the "closure"

From what I heard the shutdown of standard parts is just to allow them to catch
up on all the outstanding orders and once that's done things will come back.

To me a minifigure is a character; something with life or life-like characteristics(like
robots). Now don't ask me to differentiate between minifigures and animals,
because that is a bit more of a gray area.

I think it's safe to say that TLG didn't anticipate the popularity of
it, and has been overwhelmed with the traffic since it was initiated... I know
I made my first ever Pick-a-Brick order online using it (and I doubt I'm
the only one)...

Have vague memories of asking about this long ago. Though for the life of me,
can’t recall the rationale offered at the time?

What is The Minifigure in the eyes of BL? What constitutes the idea of
the minifig within the catalog?

There are varying examples of gray areas, taking just one: A micro build comprised
entirely of common parts, none unique or specific to the character, nor to the
archetypal concept of a minifig,

Minifig No: sw1153 Name: Gonk Droid (GNK Power Droid), Experimental Unit Clone Force 99 - Dark Bluish Gray, Black Feet (Gonky)
*
sw1153 (Inv) Gonk Droid (GNK Power Droid), Experimental Unit Clone Force 99 - Dark Bluish Gray, Black Feet (Gonky)
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars The Bad Batch
unless you consider this piece within the build, relatable?

Part No: 26047 Name: Plate, Round 1 x 1 with Bar Handle
*
26047 Plate, Round 1 x 1 with Bar Handle
Parts: Plate, Round {Black}
The Lego Minifigure, concretely, not in the abstract; what is it? And what are
the respective guidelines, if any, for those having to work within the catalog?

So many questions, so little time

-Thanks

In my mind it has to have a figure shape, I have no problem with calling

Minifig No: twn157 Name: Bride, Wedding Dress with Necklace
*
twn157 (Inv) Bride, Wedding Dress with Necklace
Minifigures: Town

a minifigure even though she is half slope-brick but

Minifig No: sw0661 Name: BB-8 (Small Photoreceptor)
*
sw0661 (Inv) BB-8 (Small Photoreceptor)
Minifigures: Star Wars

doesn't really count as a minifigure in my mind even though it is still a
character in the Star Wars universe.

It's my understanding that they're still in the process of transitioning
inventory to the new distribution center. Hoping that they iron out those issues
and restore their stock soon.

I heard a rumor that there's a website where you can buy individual LEGO
bricks, it's like Pick-A-Brick but it has better selection and even some
parts that are no longer in production, it's also owned by TLG…

Okay, so the answer is:

1.
The dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/
(hover over the red Studio icon on every page, then click “Studio Forum”).

Please search the forum for your question before posting a new one (the search
box is in the very dark grey banner).
There’s indexes of known bugs and suggestions that you can browse first:
Studio: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5579
PartDesigner: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5589

2.
Studio only contains LEGO parts and official parts will only ever be LEGO parts
but you can add any part you want through PartDesigner, mostly it’s for your
own decorated parts it can do simple 3D models and you can always import 3D models
from other tools.

I don’t use it so I wouldn’t know.

Someone else may be able to answer that.

But… hinge plate is HINGED on the pivot. Pivot got to be removed, first… isn’t
that?

Don't take John P or his comment too seriously.

John P is a collector who has switched his huge LEGO collection for everything
else collectible, but still lightens our days by posting humorous comments on
this LEGO forum. He calls himself old but he is more of a rebellious child sometimes.

His comment is an example of the cyclic reasoning, meaning something like an
answer to 'How do you carve such a beautiful sculpture out of the stone?'-
'I just remove all the stone that is not like the sculpture'

Thanks everyone. Popsicle provided a link with the original discussion. It was
his Mom's avatar and it was a custom piece they had done.

Much appreciated. I've been off Bricklink for a long time (several years)
and just getting back to it.

Well, how? if you simply push the pivot (313), you bleach it immediately. I also
have a hinge revers-mounted with 313 in perfect conditions, hence my question!
there must be a technique

Minifig hands do exist in new Pearl Dark Gray (316 Titanium Metallic), but you
can't buy them on BL.

Maybe help the OP with their question, then?

Are we even allowed to discuss nightshift minifigures here? They don't come
in any commercial sets, but unprinted minifigures can be found in new PDG.

Are the hands Lego produced?

or otherwise licensed by TLG?

The current prevailing theory is that they are made in a LEGO factory, using
LEGO plastics in LEGO machinery, by LEGO employees, without LEGO corporate's
permission, and sold by said employees under the table. They exist but I'm
not going to provide a link to anywhere that sells them. They're not counterfeits,
but they're not seen as "legitimate" by LEGO.

I see. Perceived gray area, then? Though perhaps not so gray (Pearl Dark or otherwise)

In planning a drive through the Sierra Nevadas one winter, I kinda knew we’d
be required by California law, to either have chains or winter tires on the state
road we were to travel. But, as we all sometimes do, I rationalized. That my
truck being heavy with dualies in the rear, would do as well as any winter tires.
“I’ve got a lot of winter-driving experience, overseas ” I rationalized with
my worried passenger.

So, when we were stopped by CHP and asked if we had on winter tires, I replied
“sort of” The officer got laugh out of it and didn’t write-me-up, but did make
us turn around and go back down to the nearest town for chains. In other words,
follow the rules.

There were no driving problems set-up as we were, and would’ve otherwise had
an uneventful trip to Reno. That is to say, it’s always smooth sailing when operating
outside of the rules, until it’s not

How our open markets and commerce within the framework of Capitalism have functioned
successfully for so long, is due in large part to the laws, regulations and rules
governing them. Namely, keeping a leash on the human nature within supply n'demand

Which minifig has Pearl dark grey hands?

Couldn’t find this info from brickset or here.

Thanks!

Honestly, I'm a little surprised to learn they haven't been produced
in Pearl Dark Gray, yet.

Here's a shortcut to such info.

That's not quite accurate. "Known colors" only show colors that appear in
inventories - there are more colors that exist than colors that are "known".

The easiest way to see if they part exists (IMO) is to go to the part catalog

If it is up for sale on wanted lists, it will display in the other columns,
but that doesn't guarantee that it exists.

None. They're the only part missing from the Pearl Dark Gray monofig, as
they haven't been released yet.

lego tabloid media will publish anything.

It did feature surprisingly heavily in the follow-up survey in January this year
though, in the sense that (almost?) all the suggested subscription options included
it.

It's clearly something they're thinking seriously about, in one form
or another - which would probably not be one that most participants hoped for
- but that's far from any certainty that they'll introduce it.

Indeed. Some people read it as you could order just about any past set from LEGO's
back catalogue.

somehow got cracked heels just from standing on studs. Is there any way to prevent

You can use

93095 Panel 1 x 2 x 1 with Rounded Corners and Center Divider
Parts: Panel {Tan}

It has just enough friction to keep a figure upright and hold it into place without
putting pressure on a stud. You probably have one in your collection to test
out as it's a fairly common piece, in the snowtrooper battle pack as well.

Unfortunately I don’t have that piece, but I’ll try to get one next time I go
on a minifig shopping spree. That’s a really good use of that piece Elkenwood!

I believe it's even been called the "foot plate" as a nickname:

https://www.newelementary.com/2021/10/lego-element-development-escalator-link.html

If you read the article this part would be an interesting option to use:

Part No: 69900 Name: Technic, Link Chain, Large with Panel and Center Divider (Escalator Link)
*
69900 Technic, Link Chain, Large with Panel and Center Divider (Escalator Link)

I might need to swap out my 2x plates in my displays. The lego tape seems nice,
not sure the others will work for my setup though

  In LEGO, LEGOfan1138 writes:

The only consistent issue I've had is about 10 Lord of the Rings orcs all
have their heels crack from being on CMF stands for 5+ years. That was right
at the height of Lego's pigment issues though and brittle brown was one of
the worst colors. Those figures in general just feel bad in their joints and
plastic quality as well. Worse than fakes.

I don't trust aftermarket studs for long term display of valuable figures.
I don't trust that small companies use the same tolerances that Lego is capable
of. Lego tape is a really neat idea for play, but I wouldn't stick hundreds,
if not thousands of dollars worth of figures on it long term.

Any figure is really capable of cracking at any point, Lego figures are just
thin abs plastic under constant friction. If someone is really particular, you
can store it in a dark, climate controlled space with the hands out and legs
out, but in my mind there's really no joy in owning something like that.

I largely collect vintage figures from the 80s / 90s and have found them to be
the best overall for plastic quality. The pre-dyed abs pellets Lego used to use
are superior to the pigmented trans plastic used now in terms of strength and
longevity.

I read the 'buy sets from the archive' more as what they've done
periodically with re-releases of old sets or possibly even the newer 'recolorization'
of sets, except that they'll limit it to selling to people who pay for their
monthly service.
