Hi Donna

I have always thought this was a crazy layout. when you try and print pages it
is so wasteful of paper and ink. When you try to zoom in on printer page you
loose half of the columns.

It needs a serious look at!

Sure! But the total amount is in the seller's account. Then Paypal deducts
the fees and transfers the tax portion to BL's account. In this way, the
seller has claimed the tax on the buyer and the buyer has also paid it to the
seller's account.

Does this mean that the seller would pay Paypal fees on the VAT element as well?

We have plenty of these, if you want to take a look at our store.

Are you sure about that 'plenty'? You have only one lot of over 100 parts,
and no more than a few hundred 2x4's in total. Hardly a scratch towards that
26K needed. Well, it's worth a try

Well, we did have plenty to be honest, but we seem to have sold loads of these
recently. We have around 500. Last time I checked we had way more. I should have
checked before making a bold statement!

Time to restock then!

I think we will be seeing the end of many international sales going forward and
not just in Bricklink.

It is becoming harder and harder to post abroad now.

Yes, repeatedly

We have had this issue constantly on iPhone and iPad for 12/18 months. It drives

i am just making a point abut something that should be included.

When I need the info I just look on BO though...

Okay, let me explain.

On any piece of lego, as well as the part number there is a second number, on
the ones I am looking at 15-05 & 12-01.

What does this refer to ? Is it a mould reference or a colour reference? If
colour where is this identified.

Thanks
Steve

I agree, we should have a selective post option.

The points of the new message start to get overlooked due ti the sheer volume

I have voted yes too!

I simply do not follow the thought process from the management at Bricklink on
this. Neutral is zero.

My percentage got screwed because a new buyer gave me a neutral without contacting
me first saying parts were missing. I knew they were complete as I always take
photos of order to new buyers and these with low FB's. I do the same with
anything out of the normal.

I did contact them and offered to send what he said was wrong (even though I
had evidence to the contrary) but he never got back to me. I was sorely tempted
to give him a negative as he deserved it in my opinion, but I just gave him no
response.

However it screwed my percentage and it shouldn't have

Agreed.

We should also have one just for XP related topics

As this has been a controversial topic recently, perhaps we should make it a
buyer select-able option.

Allow the buyer to choose to receive paperwork with the order, or to have the
order shipped without paperwork. The seller would then be obliged to follow the
buyer's selection.

thank you, Nita Rae

What's interesting about the responses here is that the sellers on BL are
a (for the most part) fiercely independent lot. They want to do it their way,
and none other. I salute you all.

Nita Rae

We have always included the picking sheets with the order, but recently have
been using using the tablet or laptop to pick the orders so seems a waste printing
the sheets off.

We have also done this (as others have stated) as an ID within the box for possible
lost parcels.

That said, more than once this caused the postage to fall into the next band.

Since the recipient can check off against their digital order on reflection it
does seems a waste.

Therefore, we have decided to create a DL size (a third of an A4 sheet) bespoke
compliment sheet, that will have the Bricklink order ref and our return address
details.

That should satisfy everything and reduce paper and print costs.

If it doesn't affect the price guide because it isn't a real order I
don't know what would be the reasons to not allow it. I vote for it every
time this is brought up but I also know those votes don't count towards anything

If you do a "partout" on the "My Store" page, it tells you there if you already
have the pieces in you store - will this do the same job?

It depends. If a seller charges $10 for postage through IC then it turns out
the actual cost was $2, I'd be pretty annoyed and would leave feedback reflecting
that. In that case the seller is not without fault, so why should the buyer have
their feedback removed in that case?

Because the buyer knew the cost of postage when he ordered. If he didn’t like
it he shouldn’t have continued with the order.

(By the way, we are totally against instant check out!)

As a seller your terms should be clear and transparent. I don't get this
"lot" charge business to be honest. I sometimes think it is a case of sellers
offering silly discounts and recouping their money through these fees. it could
also be a way of avoiding BL fees!

For our part, we charge Royal Mail rates plus a nominal amount to cover packaging
& printing cost, and don't have any minimum order sizes.

It is all about transparency and honesty!

I agree with the point Teup makes on this.

"The race to the bottom" is something that concerns us as well.

Constant "sales" just harm the overall selling prices. Same goes with
store clearance, liquidation sales, closing shops etc.

Other have commented that the selling price is just going down

The same goes with the stores that overprice and then offer silly discounts.

We have already seen the damage caused to set prices where incomplete sets are
included in the average price and then driving down the set prices.

None of this gives any credibility to Bricklink at all.

In my opinion this wouldn't work!

They have this function on eBay and it is a nightmare to be honest.

The sellers have set their prices and if you don't want to pay the listed
price then you simply buy elsewhere.

I suppose if you want to make someone an offer you could do this via the quote
function and ask if they are prepare to sell for "x"

Bricklink needs to stay well clear of this.

Just my thoughts!
