Hi,

While we’re all occupied with plurals, I remembered that gear teeth are spelled
“tooth” for most parts
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?q=gear+tooth&catType=P&catID=
but “teeth” for a few others
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?q=gear+teeth&catType=P&catID=
(mainly the new gear plates and the differentials).

Is there a rationale?  For both the difference and the use of the singular because
I’ve trouble understanding why it’s “tooth.”

I have a sticker sheet from 2021 with different numbers than the catalog. Do
we still add them as a "b" sticker sheet entry and call them the International
version? It is this sticker sheet.

[p=76941stk01]

The numbers at the bottom are the same but have a 100 at the front and the number
at the top is different - 149059. The sticker sheet otherwise appears the same.
Let me know and I will submit as directed.

Thanks,
Jim

LEGO updated the print for the Toy Story 4 sets. You can clearly see the difference
between the logo's on the front. The newer one has a circle detail.

See minifigure entries
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=toy004#T=I
and
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=toy018#T=I
to see the difference.

Hi

For part 47154c01, Electric, Motor 9V 4 x 4 x 3 1/3, would it be possible to
differentiate between the two different colour bases (dark gray and dark bluish
gray)? At present there is only one option?

Reason I ask is that I think (I may be wrong), but set 4094 uses dark gray, set
4895 uses dark bluish gray. I just received the one on the right from a BL seller
to replace the original one on the left which doesn't work. Not really the
seller's fault, but no way of knowing when checking the BL inventory.

Thanks

So, maybe a note needs to be added to the inventory? And if more evidence is
found add it as alternate in the set entry?

I found a few sellers in East Asia selling a different version of 7496. Has this
version been seen before?
It appears to have a few different parts, including two previously unknown 3437s
in what appear to be Light Purple and Light Violet (maybe?). I can’t find anything
regarding it on BL.

Photos posted here too.

Changes:

The Purple tile seems to be Medium Blue, the Light Violet plate seems to be a
brick in this version of the set, and the Medium Blue brick seems to be Light
Purple.

On a more interesting note, I’m convinced that the 2x2 brick in this set may
be LEGO’s 220 Light Lilac (a color BrickLink doesn’t really need to recognize,
unless maybe this brick is Light Lilac, in which case it might be an idea), which
has only appeared in a few Duplo figures.

I’ll upload photos of the parts to the catalog when I receive the set.

I bought set 7496 from a seller in Japan, which has different box art than the
version on BL. This set does not appear to be inventoried on Bricklink, Brickset,
or anywhere, really.

This set has a 2x2 Duplo brick in a funky purple that doesn’t match my Light
Violet parts. I do not have any other color that even comes close to this one.
Apart from Light Violet, Lavender is the closest, but it was released in 2011,
which crosses that out, as this set is from 2004. My only guess is that this
is Light Lilac, but I don’t have any parts in that color, nor did it ever come
in any bricks as far as I can tell. Brickset doesn’t have info on this, and neither
does Bricklink. Any help?

I came across a listing of this set on another site that I can’t link here, and
those 2x4 plates are definitely not Light Blue. The bag in the listing is still
sealed and maybe an inventory admin can come to their own conclusion on what
this color is? If need be, I can still provide said link through a different
means.

Not exactly an error, but I didn't know what else to write given the strict
char limit in the Subject

Basically there's a new version of a part with a significant but visually
hard to notice difference, which is categorised as the exact same part as the
older version. It was released this year I believe, so maybe it just hasn't
been updated yet, but I think the difference is subtle enough to have been missed.
The new part number is just classed as an Alternate Version, although it is functionally
different to the new part

Where is the best place for me to post about this so it can be changed? Thanks

Sets, 8525, 8530, 8559, 8569, 8597, 8598, 8599 all have a confirmed possibility
of their inventory, so why aren't they listed on the sets inventory? Kind
of how dots packs are done.

Seems these two sets have a White Box version, I think from Europe.

Images and additional notes for these are the best way to acknowledge this?

Just wondering why this item is not classified as a Set instead of Gear?

I have written a script to retrieve prices and this item threw a spanner in the
works as everything else was considered a Set.

Seems transparent parts alternate numbers are not in BL for these parts:

79190 for

Part No: 2850b Name: Technic Engine Cylinder with Bottom Slots
*
2850b Technic Engine Cylinder with Bottom Slots
Parts: Technic

And 32061 for

Part No: 2850 Name: Technic Engine Cylinder (Undetermined Type)
*
2850 Technic Engine Cylinder (Undetermined Type)
Parts: Technic

https://rebrickable.com/parts/2850a/technic-engine-cylinder-with-side-slots/

But also seems that 2850 was not correctly split and is indeed an undetermined
entry, just checked a review of a late set and it comes with 2850b

Set No: 9392 Name: Quad Bike
*
9392-1 (Inv) Quad Bike
199 Parts, 2012
Sets: Technic: Model: Off-Road

PD: I have one 2850b in stock and it has molded the ID 2850, so 2850b entry is
good

Set 7600 on Bricklink lists the Bionicle Zamor Sphere as being Flat Dark Gold,
but that color was more than likely retired by 2007, and LEGO has the sphere
as their "Warm Gold" which translates to "Pearl Gold" on Bricklink. This should
be changed to accurately reflect LEGO's database information.

Sets 3615 and 9131 have the same issue. Part 3437 is listed as being "Pearl Gold",
but the color was not around in 2002, and LEGO has it listed as "Sand Yellow
Metallic" which translates to Bricklink's "Flat Dark Gold".

Part 44715 is listed as "Dark Tan", but the available photo shows the part as
having a metallic look to it, and the two sellers have listed it as "Flat Dark
Gold", which seems more accurate given the photo and the photo for the part in
"Flat Dark Gold".

Part 44716 should also be looked at. It is listed as "Pearl Gold", but the color
was not around in 2003 either, as its ID 297 has it being released around 2005.
The part looks more like 139 Copper, whose ID would match a 2003 release date,
but that's not certain. However, it could also be LEGO's 189 Reddish
Gold, which Bricklink does not have a separate color for, as most pearly golds
were just thrown under 84 Copper. This presents the separate issue of adding
new colors to the Bricklink database.

Lastly, part 48647 has multiple iterations in terms of color, but the one listed
for set 4777 has it as Pearl Gold. The photo looks more like "Flat Dark Gold",
which also makes more sense, given that Flat Dark Gold was around in 2004, and
Pearl Gold more than likely wasn't. This is more difficult to work with,
as it could be split into two different colors, with future iterations of the
part being Pearl Gold, and the 2004 version being "Flat Dark Gold". Sellers with
the older part would have to manually change their listing. Lego's database
has the part listed as "Warm Gold", but they do not take different production
runs of sets into account when listing colors, as they probably only account
for the most recent one, which in this set's case, would've been a 2005
run, probably around the time 297 Warm Gold replaced all the previous golds.

This set was actually approved on July 16, 2015. It was submitted to the BrickLink
catalog June 25, 2015.

July 16 2015 was when the set went on sale for VIPs at lego.com but is this needed
info? I don't think any more sets get notes like this, or do them?

Have just tried to add to the catalogue the Item No 42600-6 but unfortunately
I erroneously typed 42600-7 which is already a catalogue item (Wyldestyle).
The new item is Metalbeard from the same series.

Part No: 11601 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Blade with Bar Handle and Spikes
*
11601 Minifigure, Weapon Blade with Bar Handle and Spikes
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon
To me there are many reasons why this should be under Weapon. The landslide majority
of the sets it comes in use it as such. It's also similar to these weapons
that you attach to bars and whatnot:

Part No: 19179 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Blade with Bar and 3 Spikes
*
19179 Minifigure, Weapon Blade with Bar and 3 Spikes
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon

Part No: 23861 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Blade with Bars and 5 Spikes

Part No: 98141 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Crescent Blade, Serrated with Bar
*
98141 Minifigure, Weapon Crescent Blade, Serrated with Bar
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon

The shape is not that of a conventional saw, like the one below (which does belong
in utensil):

Part No: 18983pb01 Name: Minifigure, Utensil Tool Saw with Reddish Brown Handle Pattern
*
18983pb01 Minifigure, Utensil Tool Saw with Reddish Brown Handle Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Utensil, Decorated
The part in question is meaner, more alien; it looks like it's made for battle.
It's reminiscent of the famous Halo energy sword. I can't imagine someone
would search Utensil before Weapon when trying to find this piece (I speak from
a frustrating personal experience!) Am I alone? Why is it considered a utensil?

shouldn't Part # 65133 be a hinge instead of a plate, Modified?

It has the Hinge Fingers. Most Bricks with them are in the Hinge Category.
I couldn't find any plates, bricks, or tiles with fingers that were not Hinges.

Posted it before sometime, but anyway - I'd really like to see this part
moved:

Part No: 65578 Name: Bar 1L with Angled Hollow Stud
*
65578 Bar 1L with Angled Hollow Stud
Parts: Bar

Why I think it's not a utensil:
It doesn't represent anything, like a guitar, a shovel, a suitcase etc. It
is used to make minifigs jump or fly, so it's at best a utensil for the builder,
but not in-world.
(Utensil = "For items that cannot be worn, are intended for minifigure use, and
are not weapons. Some may also be used by micro and mini dolls.")

Why I think it's a bar:
It's basically a bar with a stud, much like this:

Part No: 32828 Name: Bar 1L with 1 x 1 Round Plate with Hollow Stud
*
32828 Bar 1L with 1 x 1 Round Plate with Hollow Stud
Parts: Bar

And we're likely to see more and more uses where it's simply used for
its shape and not as a minifig stand. After all, the 3x4 bases of collectible
minifigs are 'tile modified' too even though they debuted as minifig
stands.

I've been adding missing stickered alternate parts for set 75551-1, but I
wasn't the only one. Now there are duplicates. Here's a list of the duplicates.

Duplicate listings:
1. 14769pb460 & 14769pb467
2. 2431pb737 & 2431pb744
3. 26603pb177 & 26603pb189
4. 26603pb178 & 26603pb190
5. 3068bpb1819 & 3068bpb1824
6. 3068bpb1820 & 3068bpb1823
7. 3068bpb1821 & 3068bpb1825

Can somebody please deduplicate these listings? And maybe combine the images,
like someone already did with part 6636bp286. Please note that there's also
an outstanding request to add these parts as alternate parts to the set inventory.

Cheers,
Wout

194cx1 Minifigure, Utensil Hose Nozzle Simple with 13L String (Undetermined Type)

Should the green one be on a separate variant.

The yellow, Black and Grey use Black string, the Green one has Green string.

There is no way of knowing this until you click on the colour.

The description of 194cx1 should state black string, and a new variant for green
string should be created

If I have assumed incorrectly, can anyone explain why they are all on one item

Set No: 10133 Name: Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) GP-38 Locomotive
*
10133-1 (Inv) Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) GP-38 Locomotive
400 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2004
Sets: Train: 9V
Looking at this set photo, it shows number stickers not included
on the set's main sticker sheet. Is there actually a sticker sheet that was
printed with the 1013 number set in distribution, or only the 2256 number set?
If so, we may want to replace the main set photo with one that depicts the 2256
number set.

is a fairly common part and just wanted to let you guys know.

Part # 3068bpb0849
This 2x2 dark bluish gray tile has silver printed details, but the description
says “white stripe and rectangles.” I believe the color in the description may
have been determined by looking at the photo where the silver details are blown
out and look white. If you look at the BrickLink photo of the Gonk Driod (sw0562),
it appears silver in that photo. The tiles in my inventory were all parted out
by me from set #75149. I have attached a photo of the tile next to a white stud
(top) and a metallic silver stud (bottom, as well as a flat silver stud (right).

Original box was issued in two styles, one has a vertical illustration (used
primarily for retail sales) and the other has a horizontal illustration (observed
where the set was included in the 65062 co-pack).

Clikits260 is listed in the catalog as “Lavender”. The color this corresponds
to wasn’t around in 2004, but the envelope looks more like Clikits Lavender,
or LEGO’s “218 Reddish Lilac” which was around in the Clikits era. My guess is
that this set was inventoried before Clikits Lavender was added to the Bricklink
color reference list. Perhaps Axaday can verify this? Granted, he also inventoried
the set, and he knows more about Clikits than most Bricklink sellers.

Parts 44715 and 42026 in set 7439 should be changed to Flat Dark Gold. Their
photos are definitely this color and not Dark Tan. Ebay listings of this set
allow for a much clearer view of these parts and they are without a doubt Flat
Dark Gold.

Weight varies by box style. Heavier cardboard (glued shut, no tray) weighs 269.9
gms. Lighter cardboard (seals on flap, with tray) weighs 286.8 gms. Both will
affect weight of original box.

Evening all,

I'm looking at the 10090 Turkey, and the inventory shows all Old Brown parts,
which is understandable since it is from 2003. Mine is all Reddish Brown parts.
I haven't modified it, it has been assembled since I opened it, so I know
it came that way "from the factory".

I know 2003-2004 is when the grays and browns changed to their current shades.
How should we indicate that later copies of this set may be entirely Reddish
Brown instead of Brown?

Play well,
Joel

When looking for a disk (either from Throwbots or Bionicle), one will see
that they are all labeled as "disk." Examples:

Part No: 32171pb026 Name: Throwing Disk with Throwbot Scuba / Slizer Sub 3 Pips, LEGO Technic Logo, and Robot Throwing Disk Pattern
*
32171pb026 Throwing Disk with Throwbot Scuba / Slizer Sub 3 Pips, LEGO Technic Logo, and Robot Throwing Disk Pattern
Parts: Throwing Disk {Yellow}
[P=32533pb132,46]

However, when looking for a device to LAUNCH said discs, we see all parts labeled
as "Disk" launcher, thrower, etc.

Part No: 40507 Name: Bionicle Tohunga Bamboo Disk Thrower Arm (4 Spines on Curve)
*
40507 Bionicle Tohunga Bamboo Disk Thrower Arm (4 Spines on Curve)

Part No: 47304 Name: Bionicle Kanoka Disk Launcher (Matoran)
*
47304 Bionicle Kanoka Disk Launcher (Matoran)
Parts: BIONICLE {Flat Silver}

Additionally, I think the word "Kanoka" (the proper term for the disk, and commonly
used throughout Bionicle set descriptions) should be added to all Bionicle parts
like: [P=32533pb125,46]

Thoughts?

are clear differences between the two? 61053 is the older one with closed axle
holes, released in Bionicle sets from 2008, whereas 89650 is a newer one with
open axle holes only released in a couple of Ninjago sets. I have received a
few open holed versions in orders when I was really after closed hole versions.
The distinction is made in a larger, but similar part; see 61054 vs 89651. Why
is this not the case for the other pair?

Hello,

I have found that part 3004pb032 is listed as being identical for sets 6390 /
6690 / 10041, although this is not the case, upon examining all three from unused
sticker sheets from their respective sets. There is an unlisted variation in
that the black "parts" inside the grill sticker for the sets 6390 and 6690 are
as a whole rectangular in shape (see left part in the picture), while for the
set 10041 they are clearly elliptical or oval in shape and there is more white
in between (see right part in the picture).

I did not find an easy way to list such a part variance using the existing catalog
change options, so I am reporting it here, hoping that some experienced part
admin etc. may implement this change to the catalog. Thank You!

With best regards, Arto Aniluoto (user zagrammen)

I have the new mould 43030 and going by pictures on rebrickable of the older

The new mould appears in set 76391 in pearl gold.

Thanks,

Might have missed the discussion on this long ago, but... Was looking through
some suitable alternate panels for a build, and wondering why there isn't
some designation on printed and stickered panels whether they are of the solid
or hollow stud variety.

Example:

Part No: 2362a  Name: Panel 1 x 2 x 3 - Solid Studs
*
2362a Panel 1 x 2 x 3 - Solid Studs
Parts: Panel {White}

Part No: 2362b  Name: Panel 1 x 2 x 3 - Hollow Studs
*
2362b Panel 1 x 2 x 3 - Hollow Studs
Parts: Panel {White}

have A and B designation

[p=2362pb02]
part above is solid, barely evident by photo, but below is unknown
[p=2362pb26]

Shouldn't these also be changed to an A or B designated part number since
the undefined is being phased out?

Both 76896 76897 have the 6-stud speed champion box size dimensions and should
be 26 x 14 x 7 and NOT 19 x 14 x 6.

I was unable to make the change in the catalog change form and was directed here.

Newer Dinosaur figures have detailed part descriptions that include 'Leg'
in the description. The older figures use 'Limb'. Can they be made the
same?

There is a varation of these with no hole through lengthwise. They seem to be
the older ones. I find no mention of this, but there is a difference in use.
A mention in the entry could be appropriate.

P.S. While on the note of wizards, is this part named correctly with the double
"z" in the word Wizzard?
[P=76371pb201,3]
If correct due to event name using the double "z" spelling, it is hard to find,
so adding the normal spelling might be advisable.

Part ScalaShowerStan is shown as having come in three colors. Salmon and Yellow
seem to be correct, but this part did not appear in ‘Light Purple’, as the color
was not introduced until 2003/4 as LEGO’s ‘Bright Reddish Lilac’. The part most
likely appeared as old Dark Pink (LEGO’s Medium Reddish Violet), but Bricklink
does not separate old and new Dark Pink, and given the plastic used, the color
seems darker than on different parts of the same color. Changing this would accurately
reflect Light Purple’s’ official release year.

On a side note: Clikits038u is shown as being “Trans-Green”, but LEGO’s replacement
part site displays the color as being “Trans-Light Green”. The item is marked
for deletion, so perhaps the appropriate change would be to make the part clikits038b?

This part is listed as being "Light Green", but should be listed under "Light

part up as being "Light Yellowish Green/Light Lime".

Hello,

Can you please change the default thumbnail of part 3934 to White. The fancy
silver one is quite nice but out of place on the thumbnail page. Its paired
part 3933 is currently White, and it is a bit easier to look up these pairs when
they match.

In set 75312 the helmet for the Mandalorian sw1135 has a clearly different printing.
The black "visor" is around one mm lower than on helmet 87610pb09. I compared
both versions and the difference is clearly visible.
Actually I am too lazy to add a picture but it was also a topic on eurobricks:
https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/184841-lego-star-wars-2021-set-discussion-read-first-post/&page=241

Is there a chance that this will be changed?

Hi!

There are two versions of this poster.

On the observe, these poster are exactly the same. However, when you roll up
them up, they look either like a lightsaber with a blue Jedi blade or a red Sith
blade. I have both versions still in their original plastic sleeve. Both have
the item no. 5005887/EAN 5702016684476 on them.

However, the photos of 153L & R are better than the ones of 127L & R (no shadows).

On a side note, is there a way to request deleting an item on the Change Item
page? I didn't see one unless I just can't see it. Perhaps adding that
option as well to the list of possible changes?

One of these is incorrect as the door stickers for each door should be different,
catalogue pictures show same sticker on both doors.

Can Porg Head 20952pb02b (Brick, Round 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 2/3 Dome Top with Porg
Head, High Raised Feathers between Eyes Pattern) be added to set 75192 UCS Millennium
Falcon as an alternate part? This would also necessitate a change to the catalog
listing for porg01 (Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail - Brick Built)
because porg01 (from set 75192) could come with either part 20952pb02a or part
20952pb02b, depending on which version was received.

I’m not sure what sort of evidence is necessary for this request, but it has
recently become clear to me that both head print variants can come from 75192.
Here is the evidence I have available at this time:

1. I’ve created a thread on the /r/legostarwars subreddit soliciting pictures
of Porgs that people have received from set 75192. Both 20952pb02a and 20952pb02b
have been shown to be received by set owners.

2. I’ve also had significant problems buying porg01 with the 20952pb02a type
head because sellers don’t realize that the Bricklink listing specifically lists
the 20952pb02a head, but have personally received the 20952pb02b head out of
their UCS sets. Sellers have insisted the porg01 with 20952pb02b head is a valid
combination, even though it’s not currently recognized by Bricklink. It’s not
currently possible to guarantee that I can purchase porg01 with the correct head
print variant, and there’s a significant price difference between the parts.

3. Bricklink’s own catalog listing for porg01 includes only an image of a Porg
with the 20952pb02b head, despite not being an official variant.

Thanks for your consideration.

Incorrect catalog picture is used for two catalogs - c21lv1 and c21lt1 have their
pictures swapped:

c21lv1 should have picture from c21lt1
c21lt1 should have picture from c21lv1

Could a note be added to part [P=3068bpb0021] that the color of the power switch
can be both black or gray and that the thickness and color of the print may vary?

Both cantinas from 2018 and 2020 use the exact same stickers, but are their own
catalog entries. These should be merged together into one entry, but not sure
how to do that. The parts that need to be merged are:

2431pb654 to be merged into 63864pb071,
15068pb300 to be merged into 15068pb141,
85984pb283 to be merged into 85984pb188,
50950pb129R to be merged into 50950pb115,
50950pb129L to be merged into 50950pb116.

Please add the following note ...

Some boxes were sealed with glue and some with vinyl seals. Glue sealed copies
do not have a tray, while vinyl sealed copies did come with a tray. Total set
weight may vary as much as 40 gms due to tray being present.

They're named differently for unknown reasons but they are the same prints
so need to be merged.
