Nice one. 👍

In Catalog, Admin_Russell writes:
Dear BrickLink Members and Catalog Enthusiasts,

Today we have promoted CEP member Paulvdb from Inventories Administrator to Catalog
Associate. Paul has done excellent work over the past couple years on the inventories
side of things, and we're very pleased he will now be trying his hand on
the catalog.

https://www.bricklink.com/memberAdmins.asp

After another year, he will be eligible for promotion to the Catalog Administrator
position, which has privileges on both sides.

Please join me in congratulating Paul on this new appointment!

***********************************************

P.S. In case some of you were wondering, we ARE going to update the Hall of Fame.
We are developing a tool for that at the moment. Once it gets up and running,
we will be keeping everything right up to date.

A while back, someone posted a link to a photo with a whole bunch of odd parts
that people often have trouble identifying. I thought I had saved a link for
it, but now I can't find it.

Does this ring a bell for anyone, and if so, can you point me to it?

Sorry to hear of your loss, thoughts are with you.

My mother just passed away and left her legos to me and i would like to merge
them with my store rather than re-entering over 60,000 pieces. Is there a way
to do this?

Thanks - Chris

Many aren’t true sales but there are genuine examples.

I hate all these false ones but I don’t think it’s really possible to do anything
about it and I don’t think anyone should try.

Everyone is free to price things at whatever price and therefore free to discount
as they like, it’s a free market

Almost on a daily basis I see the most incredible Sales in the discussion forum.
20, 30, sometimes even 80% off. Weren't theses prices to high to begin with?
Who are we fooling? Should't we stop this? Would like to hear you thoughts.

Should read VAT not VAY, whoops.

In Selling, Stuart9 writes:
  Received this too.

Just trying to get myself clued up before I reopen at a later date.

Am I correct in saying that I don’t need to take any action, I don’t sell €10,000
to the EU countries and I’m not registered for VAY in the U.K. as I don’t sell
enough.

I do have on-site payment.

Thanks for any help.

In Selling, Abels_Bricks writes:
Just got the email from bricklink stating that all Members selling to the EU
must now register individually and supply bricklink the OSS number.

So Lawrence at brickowl was able to deal with this and set it up so brickowl
takes the VAT required from sales and pays it to the relevant tax authorities
(just like Ebay, Etsy, displate, cgtrader) and I`m sure most other online sales
portals. But Bricklink once again has to be a little different.

I really want to rant about this, but what's the point. My trade has been
moving from BL to BO more over the past year anyway.

David.

Parts: Brick

Still odd that this brick isn't in the Modified category...

It went unseen?
Or it’s (or was) considered a standard brick?

BTW, what’s the use of the hole?  To pass a string through?

They are absolutely everywhere here too, street market stalls, numerous sellers
at carboot sales and more.

You need to check every minifigure that you find, in detail.

I went to my local flea market this week end and there is a new Lego knockoff
store now. Beautiful Mini figures mostly. After 10 minutes of my 5 kids shopping
and gathering $20 worth of stuff I noticed no "Lego" on anything or anywhere
in the store. Kind of made me mad so I asked the woman behind the counter about
it and was told they were not allowed by owner to mention the "L word" and they
had several stores and got most of the figures from China. The first 10 minutes
I was there she made no attempt to correct anyone that said Lego. She saw I was
upset and said "Mister I'm just trying to work and support my two kids".
I can't argue with that but am still mad after two days.

If you find a genuine blue one, please let me know.

Found in a bulk load from the 70s.

It look like the hole in the top is moulded (rather than someone having taken
a drill to it!) but I can't work out what it's from.
