Sorry of this has been covered before, but I have not seen it.

For selling to EU how can we document that VAT has been paid? The document that
Bricklink provides does not (unlike the similar document for UK) contain any
invoice number, VAT ID, or description of goods.

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2517#ioss

You need to join the receipt to the CN22/23.
You need BL’s IOSS-VAT-ID, and you need to give it electronically to your shipping
carrier.

Thou Shall Not write the IOSS on the package… but you can write it on the CN22
that you’ll stick to the package….

   And it specifically says that
"This is NOT an invoice for VAT purposes" So what is the point of that document?

This part means you can’t use it to reclaim VAT.  It’s a receipt, not an invoice.

No set ever built by anyone is a failure, period.

Except the ones that break apart after you build them.

What about the ones that break apart _while_ you build them?

No personal information on the forum, please.
I saved your message:

In Sales, GandABricks writes:
We have a whole group of SEALED sets coming to our store over the next two weeks! Mainly consisting of Star Wars, Castle (and some Ninja), and Bionicle! All the sets are brand new, sealed, and in good condition! A lot of these sets are hard to find, and many of which we are the only USA based seller of. Why try to update our inventory each weekend, so check back for new parts and increased quantities.

If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to message us here on BrickLink […censored…]

Weeelll let's not be mean and take it out on the new guy. Usually it's
extremely helpful to have a pair of fresh eyes look at such things. I think this
is more an acclimatizing process where new users learn to leave their conceptions
about what is generally normal UI and functionality at the door in order not
to go crazy here

My apologies! My tone came off as way too rude. […]

I didn’t thought so… but then, I agree with your sentiment, so if anyone received
it in a bad way, I’m joining you in offering apologies m(_ _)m

I love when brand new people come through... look at stuff for 5 minutes, and
then decide they know everything they need to know.

Really, the site is built on ASP, a really old language? No way! I bet none of
the owners, developers, contributors, volunteers, and members had any idea. Now
we can fix it!

Sorry, just had to rant. Of course, we all want to see better design, bug fixes,
and updates where appropriate. But, if you take away my ancient-looking really
awesome Forum, we are going to have some words.

  Well, there’s this: https://help.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035979134-Can-I-use-BrickLink-Catalog-images-on-an-external-site-

Thanks, SylvainLS! I didn't want to use something without confirming first,
and I greatly appreciate the link you sent!

That help section is misleading and will be changed shortly. The contributors
own the rights to the images on BrickLink and the images may not be used by other
members without the consent of the owner.

Oh, sorry for pointing to a misleading text.

In all honesty - if you can create your own image of an element, you should do
so, if not then I would assume no issue with using any other publicly available
image.

You should always assume the opposite: it’s not because you can view it / download
it that you can use it, that’s copyright 101.

In Selling, molten.brick writes:
Can you trade with a zero feedback?

There needs to be at least one seller in a trade: it’s an agremment between seller
and buyer that the payemnt is “in kind” but there needs to be a (valued) sale
on BL so that BL take its fees and the Price Guide be updated.

That’s also more and more difficult to do with taxes obligations as payment methods
can only be with money and onsite, so you can’t arrange the actual payment to
be in kind without also paying (and be refunded the item share when the seller
receives the trade).

IOW, with a taxable buyer, it would go like this:
— seller and buyer agree,
— buyer pays with PayPal, so BL can collect taxes from the buyer,
— seller sends items,
— buyer sends items,
— seller receive items and refund, out of BL, the price of the items (but not
the tax).
