| I wanted to ask you, why isn't every LEGO piece in the designer program.
I love NINJAGO, but not everything is there, like the old and new dragon heads
(with or without prints), and ninja masks and armour. I have parts designer but
I'm not a 3d modeller yet, so I kindly ask you if you could make an update
the will include more parts from NINJAGO pls. Sincerely GrayCat

| Hi,
I have a large inventory which has an average 6 months sale value of about $700
I am looking for about $400 (I have lots of Minifigures)
I also have a shoebox of bulk unsorted Lego, if interested.
I can ship standard shipping with UPS/FedEx , because it is pretty heavy/large
Will include all items on the file, and may take about 4-5 days to pack and ship
XML file can be provided upon request. (send me a BL message with your email)
(Willing to negotiate price)

|
| Hi,
lately I'm having some problems with selling LBG parts. I believe they are
(discolered) LBG, but the buyer thinks it's LG. I send the buyer the parts
again in LBG free of charge, so this should be solved. But the difference between
discolored LBG and LG parts is sometimes very minor.
An good example is 2x 6192 I have. If you see them in a pile of LBG, they do
not seem LBG at all, more LG. They blend in nice in a pile of LG. However this
parts does not exist in LG in a set according to bricklink.
This part is being sold for €.10 to €.20 in LBG and €6 to €8 in LG.
How do I put this part for sale?
How can I you tell the difference between (discolered) LBG and LG?

| How can you have an online/brick & mortar store in a town of less than 40,000
people, almost 45 min away from the largest city in the state (which has way
less than 1 million people) and NOT OFFER SHIPPING?
I'm confused about the business model. Obviously, your fees for BL would
be pretty small since you have just removed 99.9% of buyers. Are you using BL
for your inventory system? Cause if so, aren't there better software systems
out there?
Just curious.

Author: | alexbinary | Posted: | Jun 18, 2021 05:50 | Subject: | Let's think about LEGO storage solutions | Viewed: | 228 times | Topic: | General | |
|
| I have a growing collection of LEGO parts and I am still looking for the perfect
storage solution.
Lately I have been thinking about designing my own set of storage solutions,
and this is kind of a market study to see if there is a real need for new LEGO
storage solutions.
I would appreciate it if as many people as possible would take the time to answer
the following questions:
1. What do you use to store your LEGO parts?
2. Are you happy with it? Why/Why not?
3. What do you expect from a good storage solution?
Thanks for your participation!
Below are my answers:
1. What do you use to store your LEGO parts?
I use Papimax StackX, I have 46 of them.
Website: https://papimax.com/
Seems to be discontinued now.
2. Are you happy with it? Why/Why not?
Upsides:
- light, compact and space efficient
- the modular and stackable design allows one to build a storage module that
adapts to the available space while being strong and stable
- the drawers can be easily taken away on to the construction area, and this
also allows to easily reconfigure the storage by swapping drawers with one another
- compartments have an ideal size, not to small, not too big, and it is possible
to remove dividers to create largers compartments
Downsides:
- not cheap
- made of plastic
- construction and materials feel cheap and low quality, the drawers don't
always slide smoothly, the dividers tend to let parts creep out underneeth from
their compartment to the ones next to it
- cannot take away individual compartments, have to take the whole drawer or
nothing
- cannot move compartments, if you want to reorganize your parts you have to
pick up the parts and put them in another compartment, can be tedious
3. What do you expect from a good storage solution?
- modular, lets me build a storage module that adapts to my available space and
that I can extend and reconfigure as my storage need and stragey evolve
- compartments of different sizes, and I can create custom layouts easily
- I can take away only the compartments with the parts I want, and I can easily
reconfigure the storage layout without having to pick up parts and throw them
in another compartment
- construction and materials feel strong and good quality, mecanics (if any)
are smooth and reliable
- looks nice and environement friendly
- I don't really care about the price if it does all of the above

| I recently purchased a group of older Lego sets including some castle sets.
It was someone's childhood collection. The sets were mostly complete, some
missing a few small parts. Boxes and instructions in good shape. Sold a set
and the buyer thought two 8x16 base plates looked like they were cut from a 16x16
plate. Sent a partial refund but not fully convinced this was the case as when
I inventoried the set nothing jumped out at me as being wrong. I guess the question
is were the older base plates cut/manufactured differently than newer ones?

Anyone else have that issue (Win10 X86)?
Is there any other inventory management programs that sellers recommend?

same, newer ones have a matte finish (or not shiny?) and weight less.
For example:
Left matte weights 0.57g
Right shiny weights 0.64g
So be careful if you weight them to count... the difference could be big.
PD: Someone posted in the forum some time ago a huge difference in weight between
two 100u bags of the same part, but couldn't find it to reply now.

|
| Hi smart heads,
When I check the value of a set for part out I'm always intrigued by the
My Inventory Average, especially the part that tells the number of parts & lots
that I don't have in my store inventory (first screen).
What I tried myself is the "parts from set" function in the extended inventory
search (second screen). When I click Go, I get a list of all parts from my inventory
that also are in the set I'm searching for, but it's not what I want!
Is there a way to find out what those missing 164 items in 53 lots (in my example)
are? Bricklink seems to know, but how can I get access to this data?
I'm thinking of making a wanted list for the complete set and then 'subtract'
the parts that I own in my store inventory from it.
Would that be possible in some way or another? Perhaps by making a combination
of exporting and then reimporting XML files but I don't know how.
There must be a way - at least I hope so
Thanks to anyone who can shine a light upon this.

|
| Hi,
Quick question to this group...
Apparently there are some changes to the EU VAT legislation with regards to E-commerce
or web shops.
From the 1st of July, when you operate an e-commerce business with generated
income of over 10.000€, you will need to charge the VAT rate of the country of
which you are selling to.
Eg. I sell over 10K€ per year. If I sell (based in Belgium) to France, I will
need to apply the French VAT rate on my order instead of the Belgian VAT rate.
Selling platforms like E-bay, Amazon, Bol.com and therefor in my opinion, BL
as well, will need to enable this way of invoicing.
Do any of you guys or girls know more about this?
I am including a link, if this is allowed?

| Dear Bricklink Admins
I am worried and hope you can help me.
I have just visited the new Bricklink R3 Website and I have a few questions about
this future website.
Altough it looks visually very pleasing, I hvae two concerns / questions.
What happenes to the other 2 Categories Gears / Catalogs? Are they going to be
deleted? Will it be not anymore possible to buy old OFFICIAL Lego catalogs on
Bricklink?
Secondly, are you going to delete the Sub-Themes /Sub-Categories?
There is only castle and all castle sets cannot anymore be divided in sub-categories,
which was very handy in order to find certain sets?
Is this just an early version of the upcoming website or are these the final
changes?
I really hope Bricklink won't lose that much of information, possibilities
and content!
With the kindest regards
