And yesterday's 80% 12 hour only sale (despite being told about it): https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1268962

And still closed for the new 80% limited time sale.

So maybe the discount will go even higher if they don't get any orders in
their closed store.

Having messaged the seller, it is deliberate to limit the amount of sales they
take in.

Maybe it would be better to not advertise a sale daily!

If your not interested in the sale, please do not reply to the announcement,
it also says ‘see terms’ so if you are interested please see the terms.

I also accept orders of €100 and under. 😉

Advertising sales with a closed store limits the potential visitors and sales.

After all of these replies you have to start wondering why they call it PERMANENT
marker.

Hairspray works wonders on permanent ink. Try it on a printed part you don't
want first though - just to make sure it doesn't pull off the print or damage
the piece.

The thing is that the pattern looks brown, not dark red, and it's solid stud.
In the inventory it doesn't refer to any mf, any suggestion?
Could that be a mistake in the inventory?
Thanks!

Minifig No: pi064 Name: Imperial Soldier - Harbor Sentry
*
pi064 (Inv) Imperial Soldier - Harbor Sentry
Minifigures: Pirates: Pirates I: Imperial Soldiers
See the inventory note at the bottom of the inventory:
"Early copies of this minifigure would have had a solid stud head."

(This is a workaround as minifigure inventories cannot have alternate parts.)

And there is also a note on this entry regarding the color:

Part No: 3626bpb0025 Name: Minifigure, Head Standard Grin with Dark Red Messy Hair, Moustache, and Vertical Lines Beard Pattern - Blocked Open Stud
*
3626bpb0025 Minifigure, Head Standard Grin with Dark Red Messy Hair, Moustache, and Vertical Lines Beard Pattern - Blocked Open Stud
Parts: Minifigure, Head
"The pattern color on this head varies from brown to dark red as can be seen
in the additional images."

Solid vs other studs is a mess, as they were handled badly in the past. Colours
may well be off too, as printing over other colours depends on the base colour.
If listing as part of a minifig, just note the stud type in your description.

Presumably it is this head:

Part No: 3626apb05 Name: Minifigure, Head Standard Grin with Dark Red Messy Hair, Moustache, and Vertical Lines Beard Pattern - Solid Stud
*
3626apb05 Minifigure, Head Standard Grin with Dark Red Messy Hair, Moustache, and Vertical Lines Beard Pattern - Solid Stud
Parts: Minifigure, Head

And this minifigure:

Minifig No: pi064 Name: Imperial Soldier - Harbor Sentry
*
pi064 (Inv) Imperial Soldier - Harbor Sentry
Minifigures: Pirates: Pirates I: Imperial Soldiers

Note the inventory page for that minifigure even states "Early copies of this
minifigure would have had a solid stud head." Minifigures cannot have alternative
parts, and so the solid stud version does not appear in any minifigures.

It depends on the scale. The architecture range is a bit mixed when it comes

Yes - go to your inventory, on the column on the right hand side that is headed
'search my inventory' - press the 'show more items' - first box
is 'items on my wanted list'. check the box and then press the go button.

Nice, thank you. That searches all lists though, right? Is there a way to search
for one specific wanted list as I have multiple?

You can just go to your store, then switch to the Wanted List tab, just like
you might at any other store. You can't buy from your own store, but the
Wanted List section still works fine, and you can filter by list there.

Thanks

Yeah, that’s strange.  We had another case in another thread: a very new seller
(even newer than your example) with no terms.

They could have deleted their terms after being approved… but I fail to see the
advantage
Some rule they wrote to appear “good” but don’t want to follow anymore?

Anyway, for me, no rules = goodbye (mind how it’s spelled ).

Hi there,
I am wondering if there is a way to search for stores that are in a specific
country (New Zealand). I relatively new to the site and keen to get my buy on.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I think there are a lot of stores w/o terms. I would just write to the seller

I'm 100% PayPal, I've never had a PayPal scam. Here or on eBay

I guess maybe the sort of buyer that buys something, then files a PayPal claim
because he or she "didn't get it" or "the box was damaged"? That can happen
with any payment method but I guess if you pay with a check or money order the
seller can just cash it and not worry about your claim.

Nice, thank you. That searches all lists though, right? Is there a way to search

Anyway, just wondering if there are other updated sets out there. Not any set

There are loads of similar sets within City, same within Star Wars, Ninjago
and most longer running themes. There are only a certain number of types of vehicles
(for example) and any popular ones will be repeated.

Thanks! I guess I shouldn’t have left the original post so open ended: so you
happen to know of any particular sets (other than above)?

Take it up with paypal. NPB them.

PayPal is giving me the run around.

Hello All,

First a big hug to Qzark. It is nasty man. Hope you will find trust in humanity

And then to my question. Do you take photo's of your shipments? How it is
protected, what type of box etc? And would this help in discussions with Paypal
etc? Or does anyone have a good tip on that?

Thanks for giving some feedback!

Regards,
Marco

How can I combine these two orders for 1 invoice to save some paypal fees.

Thanks for your help.

LG Alfred

You can manually add both ordernumbers into one invoice.
Add postage to the first order and credit it for the second order, then send
the invoice.

Or cancel the second order and ask to buy again after you changed with the Edit
order button the orderstatus of the first order back to pending.
If the buyer buys again the system will then add a second batch to the first
order.

Then you can send the invoice.

Thank you

But a feedback warning?? Really? She gets away with theft and fraud and all that

I sold set 4730 to ×snip× Australia in March. She filed a dispute with
PapPal to get a full refund because a hole was poked in the package during shipping,
stating item was not as described and poorly packaged....both lies. The hole
may have occurred during shipping, but I question that too.

PayPal granted a full refund upon return of the set, including the Shipping,
which was buyer responsibility. So now I'm out $78.50 plus a $15 dispute
fee.

The buyer submitted pics of the hole to PayPal. I compared those to what I received
in return and the hole was made bigger. The buyer tore open parts bag #1, stole
Fawkes, the Basilisk, and all the minifigs, minus Ginny's head and torso
pieces (which were assembled) and Gilderoy Lockhart's hair piece.

Parts bag #2 was removed from the set, opened on the seam, emptied, and stuffed
back in the set.

She taped over the hole, placed the set in a big shipping bag and returned it.

Thanks for the input, unlikely that anyone would be interested but I need to
sell them somewhere, worth a try especially if I can exchange for something I
can sell in my shop..

Suspect I'll have to advertise in a few places, not really happy using eBay.

I'm talking about a vintage/antique farmhouse table with drawers ( not sure

All these are heavy and or sizeable, exchange only in U.K. and would have to
be collected.

Effectively the Lego would be sold to me and I pay with these goods rather than
currency.

If it is then anyone interested can contact me and we can try to work something

So long as one side is a purchase from a store, I think it is allowed. You can
pay in any currency accepted and agreed by a seller, and if they accept furniture
then go for it.

  Hi!
I'm new at brick link and I love it so far. My 12-year daughter and myself
started rebuilding ALL of her Legos during the start of the pandemic, it has
been fun and also frustrating when we can't find the pieces. Bricklink has
been a great resource for buying pieces.
The challenge that I have is finding a buyer that has a good amount of pieces
the I need. Is there a way I can create a list and then search to see which buyers
has the most pieces I need?
I hope I was able to explain myself.
TIA!

Yes! This is exactly what wanted lists are used for. On the part you need, you
can click add to my wanted list, then when you go to your wanted lists, you can
do an easy buy on that list.

I have a cool project with a local school that requires a variety of minifigure
sized vehicles. I need about 40 total, in all sizes and shapes. Police cars,
fire cars, regular cars, pickup trucks, semi-trucks, you name it. Used bricks
in good shape are ok. Kids are aged 7-10, so age appropriate please. Looking
to spend $2-$4 per vehicle. Let me know if you have what I need, and any photos
if you've got them. Don't want 40 of the same vehicle, but 4-5 of each
is ok. No minifigs needed! Thanks for looking!

Example:

Set No: 7285 Name: Police Dog Unit
*
7285-1 (Inv) Police Dog Unit
92 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2011
Sets: Town: City: Police

Set No: 60001 Name: Fire Chief Car
*
60001-1 (Inv) Fire Chief Car
72 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2013
Sets: Town: City: Fire

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I believe it has been done before but is this still acceptable if the Lego side
goes through BL ?

I'm talking about a vintage/antique farmhouse table with drawers ( not sure
of age ) and two vintage/antique Lead garden planters ( real Lead not faux ).

All these are heavy and or sizeable, exchange only in U.K. and would have to
be collected.

Effectively the Lego would be sold to me and I pay with these goods rather than
currency.

If it is then anyone interested can contact me and we can try to work something
out, if it isn't then please ignore this message.

It's been a crazy 12 months for me and the next 12 months look similar.

I've packed all my unlisted Lego as I'm hoping to move in the next few
months.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of ordering from me in the near future, things
may change quickly.

I'm looking to rent to begin with which may prevent me from reopening until
I find a new home, the store may be closed for a long time.

Thank you to all my customers and thanks for all those that have sold me items
so far, also thanks to all those here on the forum that have kept me informed,
entertained etc, even if we don't always agree.

Here's to a new, even brighter future and if all goes well a bigger more
organised store.
