|
Yes.
Look at what’s happening (and what’s said) for the Studio Gallery.
| I'm not a lawyer, but I wouldn't think so.
|
IANAL either but it has already been ruled a violation on the Gallery.
| But as mentioned bellow, these would
fall under MOCs, which I believe are free use.
|
I believe you have to think again.

| It wouldn't be a comprehensive list of every combination of Minifigure components.
Users would submit their figure, and then there would be a list of components
that correspond to the appropriate official pieces within the market. I hope
that makes sense.

| Wouldn't the part inventory just correspond with the official parts listed
in the Market? Just like official figures, you'd click on the figure and
see what the components are and what figures and sets they come from.
|
There is an almost infinite number of combinations of headgear / heads / torso
assemblies and legs. They cannot all be added and if they were, then they end
up being useless as you cannot possibly view them all.

| Yes, it would essentially be minifig-only MOCs. The MOC Shope really is dedicated
to builds, and even then doesn't have a components list.
The Studio Gallery is limited to the digital components available, but at least
it hs a list.

| I would like a Purist Custom Figures catalog. People can submit pictures, descriptions,

This looks like a administrative nightmare for those maintaining the "Purist
Custom Figures" catalog. Endless submissions with endless part inventories and
alternative parts.

pieces, and no selling. It would just be a way for people to share ideas, and
for others to add components to their wishlist. I think this avoids all of the
issues surrounding BrickArms.

And it would be exactly like any other MOC, just minifig-only MOCs, and for that
there already are the MOC Shop (haha) and the Studio Gallery.
