I don't think an alternate is required for an underdermined part. I confirm this part has a groove. I have this set in my collection.

I think it is needed. It shows that this set has most probably alternate variant
also. But must be now confirmed from sealed set content. This set was originally
inventoried with non groove variant (for this part) and then was added groove
variant to the inventory as alternate. But we can't just simply change all
undetermine to "b" variant which this undetermine entry formerly represented.

I get it. I now fully understand the reason for the "undetermine". However, in
this particular case, since we know that "a" and "b" types both exist for this
set ("a"= me opening this seal set 2-3 years ago and "b" = Youtube link you provided
above), why don't we just keep "a" as regular and "b" as alternate (or the
opposite) and get rid of "undetermine"?

This set is not available for purchase anymore, it is unlikely that these changes
will be made. Also there is always an extra 3024 in sets for each color.

Extra 3024 is only since 2013. Before that they were not added as extras. This
means that the extra 3024 should be kept in this set because it was present in
later production runs, but not when this set was first released.

You are probably right because I have bought the set in 2012 and just built it
two days ago. As for 4073 round plate, you only need 8 of them when building
but the booklet says there is 9 of them. Probably an error.
