| I've only used site for a week (with two toddlers screaming I want that one
the whole time) so this may be an option somewhere but it would be great if there
is a way to search for local sellers by zip code

| Hi everyone.
I was wanting to give one of the many Lego building software's a go preferably
one that works with brick Link. I don't mind paying but a free one would
be preferable.
What does everyone recommend? The simpler the better I might add, I'm not
bad with technology but I am going to be trying to teach my grandson how to do
it.

| Hello, would it be posible to add a custom payment method option for "local"
(national) payment options like "Swish" here in Sweden or "Ideal" in the Netherlands.
I dont think it would be that hard to implement but it would help a lot. At the
moment I have added a note to my bank transfer option thats say that I also accet
Swish-payments, but I still have to ask the buyer which method he wants to use.

| When getting an order thru Instant Check-out I would like to see a copy of the
"order notification email" along with a copy of the "invoice" email just like
when a non-instant order is placed.
I have saved these for future reference for years.
Thanx, Milissa

| I know it's already been hashed over and over that sellers want to be able
to buy in their own store, and, for reasons I still cannot fathom, BL has refused
to allow it. But that isn't why I'm posting here.
The real problem is that I'm unable to test my store settings from a customer's
perspective. This is %$#%@# ridiculous. No store on the planet has a policy
that stops employees and management from taking items to a register and going
through check out process (and then void the sale, or abandon it before finishing).
Now this new instant check out has me setting up a system that I'm barred
from using without going to someone else's store to experience their *different*
configuration.
I guess I need to set up a shill account in violation of BL's terms just
so I can make sure my store works as I intend?

why isn't a copy of the invoice sent to the seller on instant checkout?
I'd like to see that a) it is sent and b) keep a copy

| Until the automatic checkout feature is able to calculate state sales tax, allow
orders from specified USA states to be blocked.
This should be done at the store level. Very similar to the check boxes for countries
to ship to.
In my case, I’ve tried to get around the lack of a tax calculation line item
by creating a special shipping choice for Florida residents which includes a
6% fee. I can still lose out on up to 1.5% because cities and counties can have
additional taxes.
In practice, none of my orders from new buyers select the Florida Residents option,
so I am out 7.5%.

All other measurement units should be abandoned including stud lengths and imperial

| Is it possible to have emails sent from the actual address when someone contacts
me through the Bricklink site? Rather than having them generated from blservice@bricklink.com.
When I hit reply, the response goes back to Bricklink instead of to the email
author.
Either that or have it sent to a dead email address so at least I will get an
error that it wasn't delivered.
This has probably been suggested before.

| I have just had an instance where a buyer has placed an order in my store and
paid with an echeque. I had set the status to clearing whilst the echeque cleared
and the buyer has
gone and placed another order which instead of creating a new order has been
added as an addition to the old one. This is making things messy.
My suggestion is that any order set to clearing should have the same status as
paid or packed and not allow any additions but create a new order.

| Hi,
With the exception of one message (October 13) without the standard subject "Regarding
BrickLink Order #_______", all of my Inbox and Outbox non-Order# messages over
the last few months have been removed.
I did not delete these messages, and as a matter of routine do not delete any
BrickLink messages, since they're eventually cleared out after six months
or so. Recent messages are important, because they provide a record of shipping
quotes and other communications with potential buyers.
Please restore them, Matthew

| Hi Admins,
Please consider-
We have set up multiple shipping methods to handle different shipping box sizes
and weights, all these have been "grouped" as one as they all refer to one shipping
option for the buyer that being UK domestic 1st class. The system is designed
to offer only the lowest priced option within the group to the buyer and so far
this seems to work well
However it makes the shipping terms look very messy with rows of options looking
exactly the same of which only one will be offered to the buyer at checkout (see
our shipping terms as an example). Would it be possible to "hide" all these options
and just show a summary description of the shipping method by "group" in the
displayed shipping methods?
Thanks,
Robert

| Correct me if I am wrong, but I have never noticed an option for two-factor authentication
on BrickLink and I think that in this day and age most websites and services
should include it.
So...
I propose the addition of two factor authentication (via SMS code).

| Hello
I would like to suggest a category split:
I like to purchase printed tiles, but I am not interested in parts that have
stickers already applied. Currently, the category for "Tiles - Printed" has
a great number of parts which are not printed but actually a sticker.
My suggestion is to create two categories: "Tiles - Printed" which is reserved
only for true printed parts, and "Tiles - with Sticker" for the others.
thank you for your consideration,

| A recent forum message just reminded me of a concept I thought of awhile ago.
Please consider creating 3 options for wanted list viewing among users.
Private:
Default option. No one else can see your any of your lists.
Limited:
Much like reserving items where you enter a user name. This would allow one
person of your choosing to view a specific list.
Public:
One or all of your lists can be seen by everyone.
I recognize that this isn't the most important upgrade that is needed, however,
a feature such as this has been wanted by many for a long time.

|
| It would be very helpful if in the part descriptions submitters were required
to put colours where appropriate. For example and especially for minifig torso
assemblies.
If someone submits a new minifig torso or legs assembly they should fill in a
short form for Hip colours, leg colour(s) as well as torso colour, arm colour
and hand colour.
If we could get this as a requirement it would make life much easier especially
when using tools like goatleg.
If the description doesn't include all this information then Goatleg doesn't
always find it and that makes identifying some of these parts much harder than
it needs to be.

|
| I have noticed that, there is no easy way when using the auto select option on
wanted lists to compare it to the actual wanted list. Sometimes the selector
will get more than 100% of the parts needed and there is no way to see what parts
are being doubled up on. Also, when not all 100% of parts are located there
is no simple way to see what parts haven't been ordered so I cannot select
alternate parts. Basically unless I get a 100% match I cannot place an order
without either wasting money on parts I don't need or ordering an incomplete
model

|
| Hello all. I have been going through the Members - Feedback ratings list, going
on page 21,158 to find information on something that I have been wondering about.
Well in doing this I have seen thousands of users that don't seem to be
"active" users. So I am thinking the 731,476 registered users is somewhat irrelevant.
Many are a once and done, sort of user.
I would like to suggest, that leaving the registered user count intact, but add
the count of "Active" users. Have BL not count the inactive users after say
6 months or 1 year, of actual log in date. This would give us all a better idea
of how many actual users are using BL. This could work just as the purge orders
after 6 months. This would still allow a user to log in after being put into
not active, and then would be in the active number for the 6 months or year.
What say you?

|
| Hi,
I recently commented that the apparent BrickLink-imposed delay of 29 (or 30)
minutes may wrongly give customers the impression they must complete their order
within this time frame, as opposed to my and others' store closed messages
which often state to simply contact the seller for a bypass password, allowing
for however much time, often days, a seller can provide a particular customer
to finish their shopping cart. In short, I think the store closure message is
more polite than the 29-minute countdown.
Another consideration is that the 29-minute delay means the store is simply not
closed when a store owner wants it to be.
For example, I recently made a large discount error across many more lots and
item types than intended. I didn't know how to quickly undo the change without
messing up other pricing considerations, so I "closed" my store to ensure no
orders were placed with erroneous pricing.
However my store was not actually closed, based on BrickLink's imposed delay.
And during the five to ten minutes needed to set things straight, an order could
have been placed based on unintended pricing.
I recommend that stores close at the moment when store owners want them closed.
Sincerely, Matthew

| For many years, I have used the "Item Finder" instead of "Search" at the top
of most pages as I find the functionality better, specifically for filtering
the country of origin of seller.
I again find the "new" search pages not as helpful. I click on "USA" for origin,
then click details, and it shows all parts, not just the sellers in "USA" for
example.
I wanted to pass along this user feedback and see if anyone else has easier and
better ways to find parts. I do not see the "Item Finder" on the new pages,
and suggest that it remain.
