If the likelihood that 22 Medium Reddish Violet is ever going to be recognized
by BrickLink is low, then the notes page should at least contain a note about
the color. It was retired alongside old brown and the old grays.

22 Medium Reddish Violet:
Introduced in 1994 in the Belville theme.
Experienced consistency issues in 2003. Some bricks were much darker than intended/lacked
colorant quite often.
Replaced in 2004 by 221 Bright Purple as part of the color change (Though, 221
made its first appearance in 2003 Clikits sets. This theme did not use 22 Medium
Reddish Violet)
Used in three “floor cleaning” sets as part of LEGO’s cleanup project of old
colors up until 2005.

221 Bright Purple:
Introduced in the Clikits theme in 2003. Available outside of that theme starting
in 2004.
Original shade is significantly redder than Medium Reddish Violet.
Reformulated around 2009 to be more consistent. Now resembles 22 Medium Reddish
Violet more than its original 2004 shade.

Do we know if this page even experiences any sort of traffic? It would be nice
to see this added to the color guide.

Hi all

While sorting, I’m sure we all come across bricks That have had a hard life or
have had a challenging journey. This time I’m erring towards this brick actually
coming from the factory as a dual colour brick rather than it being bleached
or something

What do you think ?

Cheers

Hi everyone,

I bought a bulk of unsorted bricks, but I need help to identify the color of
two parts that seems that aren't molded in any existing color: in my photo
are the 2x6 plate (3795) and the inverted slope (52501).

The tile at left is in blue, the wedge at right is in dark blue

Thanks in advantage

Hello,

The Bricklink administration removed one of my selling listings. The reason was
that the parts were listed in a non existent color.
The part was actually a genuine lego part, listed in the correct color. Only
was it never released in an official set, so it does not show up in the color
guide in any set. Is it no longer allowed to list such parts? As far as i know
this type of parts could be obtained in a legal way from a pick a brick wall.

Hi everybody
I want to enter this part Window 1 x 4 x 5 with Hollow Studs Item No: 2493b
in my collection but the color I have does not exist. My part is black. I don't
know which set it comes from but I saw on https://rebrickable.com/home/ that
there are at least 9 sets in which it takes place in black. How can I do ?
Thanks.

1. Why Sienna is between Tan & Light Nougat and not between Dark Nougat & Fabuland
Brown?
2. Why Satin Trans-Yellow is not located between Satin Trans-Brown & Satin Trans-Bright
Green?
It's not that important, just a little bit annoying.

Official Lego color name confusion. What colors do silver ink, and silver metallic,
correspond to in bricklink colors?

Seriously? Light trans-black would have been a more appropriate identifier as
there is a noticeable difference, however there is nothing brown about this color
that we are now calling trans-brown.

Hi!

I am having a small issue with a customer who claims te have recieved parts with
sun damage

He sent me pictures of what i believe are his own arches (or maybe other arches
out of the same order: i do not know) and the different "sun damaged"
parts picked out of the different lots/items

Since all parts have the same color on the inside and outside i suspect color
variations/inconsistencies from a parted out set (7094)

Trying to resolve the issue with the customer but i am wondering how yall are
handling this, also with the sand green, dark red, pearl gold and other color
inconsistencies, since it also seems to happen in modern new sets

Do you still opload the part?
Do you place a note on seperated lot?
Or ditch the parts in a bulk bin?

Thanks in advance!!!

Store: Pretty Sick Parts & Sets
New thread, new title etc etc

I've more or less reworked the data I had with the new, accurate silver
classifications, which is lovely! I'm liaising with hereforbricks614 to try
and tick off as many Bionicle-specific 296 parts as we can. 2006 is still our
dodgy year, with 131 v1, 131 v2, and 296 all being used. I'm a little concerned
that 2005 might be a potential source of 296 too, but have written off 2007 (blame
some very, very dodgy 131 v2 Jaller swords for that). Te only real challenge
left is to detangle the aforementioned dodgy 131 v2s, and true 296 pieces I've
managed to confirm a bunch of the potential parts already, but more rechecks
are required before I bring that data to BrickLink proper for potential catalogue
inclusion. I'll keep picking at it as I find time between work and other
dumb Bionicle-centric side projects.

Unfortunately, 296 isn't our only bugbear. I've had 2 confirmed sightings
of this weird dude: a 131 v1 Mahri shoulder piece. This image was provided by
a mate, I don't have this piece myself. This piece was introduced in 2007,
and in theory shouldn't exist. In both reported cases, a single one of these
was pulled from a bulk lot, with no accurate indication of what set contained
it. Even more strange: there are no sets that only use 1...

If anyone has any insight as to where this weirdo snuck in, I'd love to hear
it. I'd also love to hear from anyone who has owned the 2005 Bionicle system
playsets from NIB, particularly if said sets contained a Pearl Gold Kraahkan/Pearl
Gold Visorak body. There's a slim chance they might have used 296 as their
silver, going on other contemporary uses, and I'd love to be able to write
them all off conclusively.

Thoughts?

I recently bought a few different colours for the kids to play with, but in their
haste they opened all the bags and sorted them into containers before I could
label them. Most of the colours seem straight forward but there are some I have
difficulty distinguishing between. Is there an app that I can check each colour
individually, or would someone be able to identify each of the colours for me?
Can provide better photos if needed.

I noticed that the numbers 30, 45, 53, 75, 79, 92, 112 are not in use and also
numbers 170-209.
Any reason for skipping those?

Is it possible to find a horse in a different color besides the three that are
offered? I'm doing a MOC design but need a horse in purple, red and yellow.
Not sure if its even possible to do without painting them myself.

No image because the BrickLink image compression muted it to a Dark Orange
It's slightly neon in person!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/53430541480

What will BrickLink call it? I've heard it called both "Reddish Orange"
and "Vibrant Orange" from Lego...

In reference to this "Colors - Additional Notes" help page: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=1096&q=color

Isn't the note on medium violet outdated, as of the addition of Lilac?

The note on rust is also outdated. We know well by now that the "rust"
parts of 1979 - 1992, and those of 2004-2005, are intentional colors, being [TLG
13 - Red Orange] and [TLG 216 - Rust] respectively, and that the 1997- 2000 "Rust"
is just bad red [TLG 21 - Bright Red]. There's really no ambiguity to be
had there.

64847 cattle horn short in dark tan. Does anyone have any idea where the dark
tan part appears as it is not in any figures or sets on BL, I have two and there
are two other sellers with one listed in dark tan.
