My personal drive in offering used parts.
Starting with stating the obvious, we are not the cheapest in price strategy of our used parts.
This is because we take a serious amount of time to wash, check, sort, check them. On average we have each part a minimum of 5 times in our hands before it gets listed in our store.
Every sorting round more parts are being deleted, resulting in a 10/20% of purchased parts never get listed. We do use these often broken and highly discolored parts for kids in our personal network who cannot afford LEGO.
Whilst checking i try to be as accurate as possible in the description, as i truly believe this is the most important side of selling used parts, making sure the buyers know without a doubt and exactly what they are buying. To entertain myselve i sometimes throw in a little *funny (for me its funny, but my humor isnt other one's humor) description to take the edge of the seriousness a bit.
With old parts i especially try to diffirentiate older used plastic's and mentione if the part is Pat.Pend.
This way i hope to provide the buyer with all the needed info to purchase a used part, specially when they need it to complete an older set, wich for us is the best next life for used parts, feeling itselve whole while completing a set :)
When you need or search a very specific part or variation, please let us know. We have a current un-checked and un-listed stock of roughly 1 million used parts. From these parts we are slowly starting re-building the older sets again and listing the sets in our store.
