I see in Brickstore the ability to to upload new items directly to the stock
room, and I'd like to use this for uploading new items where I already have
a bounty of this particular brick so it doesn't look like I'm trying
to corner the market. Let's take this one for example.

Part No: 2877 Name: Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Grille / Fluted Profile
*
2877 Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Grille / Fluted Profile
Parts: Brick, Modified {Tan}

So two questions:\;

1a: If I upload 500 more of those fluted bricks to Stockroom A, are they indeed
separated from the other 1314?

1b: If yes, does the interface in Bricklink update somehow to display this?

2: I see the options for Stockroom A, B, C, and this then takes us back to question
1a and 1b.

I know I could test this but I trust the hive mind better than I trust testing
something I don't fully understand.

Why do you bother asking?

KISS: make a fake lot of one Dark Pink 3001 or such you wouldn't sell
anyway, at a stupid price nobody buys, like $1 each.

Then play with it, upload, check your shop, inventory, etc. That's the way.

In short I'd say what's uploaded as stockroom stays there, so it won't
be seen from your shop. And if you upload or mass update something, of course
BrickLink inventory will reflect the change. But not the shop in case of in stockroom.

Again, make simple evident and idiotic lot you can track, and play.

It stacks unfortunately. Each upload to A/B/C just put it in main inventory.

It then must be because your consolidation options on BrickLink?

I never put anything in stockroom, try with a lot you sure don't have in
shop?

Tell me, if's a bug on BrickStore we can open an issue, but I don't think
it is.

Example, with my upload config, uploading to A WILL consolidate to normal stock
because it takes the updated lot stockroom configuration (in this case, "none":

I did consolidate because I thought it would otherwise create a new lot ID.
Which I guess might be the point? However I didn't look down the entire
list of consolidation options so it might be user error. I'll experiment
with it more tonight.

In my head I thought that it would all combine under the same lot ID in order
to help control price adjustments, but that would require a new field on the
right to pop up where you can see what's in stockroom A/B/C and toggle them
on and off.

As it stands now, on the lots I'm doing this with I make a codified note
in my remarks.

You CAN'T have both the same lot (and lot ID) in stockroom and not in stockroom.

If those are the same items (parts) then they must have a different lot ID.
