I would say flat silver - but they are have never been in a set in flat silver.
Maybe they are not LEGO? Look for Logo and part number on the surface.

On the bottom left corner of that image, where the indentation for the pin connector
is, I can see what appears to be microprinted text. Can you get a clearer image
of that section of the parts?

LEGO elements sometimes have microprinting in odd places but it is usually there.

I own this set, and found the same element in amongst the elements in this set.
It looks identical to the elements you took photos of, apart from color:

Set No: 3804 Name: Robotics Invention System, Version 2.0
*
3804-1 (Inv) Robotics Invention System, Version 2.0
717 Parts, 1 Gear, 2001
Sets: MINDSTORMS: RCX

Part No: 6632 Name: Technic, Liftarm Thin 1 x 3 - Axle Holes
*
6632 Technic, Liftarm Thin 1 x 3 - Axle Holes
Parts: Technic, Liftarm {Light Gray}

Some elements from years ago did not at first have the LEGO logo molded onto
them, sometimes they didn't even have a part number on them. But since they
had been included in a genuine LEGO set, they were identified as genuine LEGO
elements.

That item you have could be from sets around that era containing parts in odd
colors. It almost looks identical to dark gray or black.

There are sometimes minor molding imperfections leading to the color being slightly
off. For instance, sometimes a part did not spend enough time in the molding
chamber cooling off, before being ejected from the mold by the machine.

I'd advise you to hold onto those parts, and not throw them away. They appear
to be the same quality as the ones included in my 3804 Robotics Invention System,
Version 2.0 set.

Cheers ...

check if the copyright (C) is present, a lot of 6632s around are not legit (some
forgeries are well well done)

The set I posted about in my other reply did not have the C marking on the 6632.
I knew it was genuine because it was from an older set.

Missing the C markings does not imply that an item is fake.

sure I agree with your for set of 2001s

but op has a new colour in hand, today

today Lego assures (C) on every part to defeat forgeries, Lego going down to
writing it in microprints in recessed walls (so are they using Laser beams? Wow)

Forgeries usually don't go down to exquisite detail, such as where the molding
indentations are that the mold uses to push the part out of the mold to release
it.

This seems more like a rare part that they manufactured for a prototype production
run.

I can post an image of the part I have here, if required, the indentations look
identical to me. That's very tricky to get right with a forgery, and what's
even trickier to get right is the shade of dark grey used back then.

Cheers ...
