So a buyer has filed a case with Paypal claiming "unauthorized purchase"
on their order with Bricklink. The order was filled and shipped to the buyer
in October.
just wondering the best way to resolve this. I sent the Order info and tracking
number from the Bricklink order to the Paypal resolution center.
the buyer never contacted me via Bircklink. The name and address match the claim
and the Bricklink order.
Also, the user has good feedback on Bricklink.

How have you handled Paypal claims?
thanks in advance!

If you have confirmed delivery to the paypal adddress you can request the goods
are returned and refund.

So if the situation really is that paypal account holder has had their account
used by their child / spouse / housemate and bought lego without permission returning
the product shouldn't be an issue for them - but you might have to pay the
shipping both ways.

Making this suggestion should flush them out and Paypal should find in your favour.

Paypal don't want sellers refusing to use it either and I've definately
seen an increase in sellers with good history getting decisions in their favour
vs. new / low feedback accounts.

Was the shipping address the same as the address on the PayPal transaction detail
page ?

Was the transaction detail marked Eligible for Seller Protection ?

it sounds like buyer remorse. I would tell the buyer to send it back to you ,
can then then inspect it, see if it is intact and refund based on condition returned,
all parts returned, etc. The buyer will have to pay for return shipping. Hopefully
this was a US transaction .

Buyer isn't claiming item not received - sending just the tracking and order
info to PayPal won't help you.

Write a short, concise narrative for your PayPal response. Stick to the facts.
Mention that the buyer never contacted you and that you will issue a refund once
the order is returned. PayPal will direct the buyer to return the order to you
at their expense with tracking.

Don't be surprised if the buyer does nothing. If the buyer actually sends
the order back, inspect it carefully.

If you haven't already, add the buyer to your Bricklink stoplist.
