| There needs to be a textfield on the Feedback Removal Request page where users
who are trying to appeal Negative Feedback can provide brief context as to why
they believe the selected feedback should be removed and/or which rules they
believe the feedback violated.
Why I think this:
I recently received negative feedback as a response to the negative feedback
I gave a non-shipping and non-responding seller, they used the feedback to reply
to my feedback and didn't even provide any actual feedback about me or my
half of the transaction, I submitted a removal request but it was rejected.
I just don't think this system works very well in its current state, the
admins have to make a decision based off of very little information/context.
So that is what the 'Note' field aims to achieve... at the very least,
there should be a rebuttal option for rejected requests.

I don't think there is any "difficult decision" regarding feedbacks.
There are only few RARE cases where they remove, otherwise they don't:

A lot of users on here care a lot about their feedback, and to have a blemish
on your account that everyone can see, there should probably be a little more
consideration put in when evaluating removal submissions, I never said it was
a 'difficult decision' just a decision that in some cases, could use
context. For my case, I believe the feedback does qualify for removal because
the "Feedback system is being used to send messages." which was one of
the line-items from the link you provided. I believe if I was able to point
this out at time of requesting removal, more thorough consideration would have
been put towards my case. And I'm sure there's at least a few other people
out there that have run into this before.

Frankly I wish you didn't receive this Negative, especially from this people
who apparently don't do kind business:
https://www.bricklink.com/feedback.asp?u=bricksandpieces
Sincerely sorry.
Otherwise, please understand people don't care about feedback profile (which
explains why the above seller still had orders!), so you simply can forget this
one you've got and move on.
But many Admins are very fine people and they will hear you; just open a ticket
and see?
Apart this, the whole feedback system could be different, yes, I agree on this.
But that's for BrickLink v4 which is announced to around 2030

To me, it seems that he is trying to explain what happened. If a BL admin thought
the same, it wouldn't get removed.

I think you might be misunderstanding what the "Feedback system is being
used to send messages." is meant to protect from. It would apply, for example,
if a new buyer left feedback like: 'Did you ship my order yet?' or 'How
do I add more items?'
