Ive asked this before, but why do certain sets not get inventoried out like others
do. I have been waiting a month for this set to be uploaded so that I can part
out in my store. Its very frustrating. If they need more employees then charge
a larger fee, but this is ridiculous

Set inventories are done by volunteers.
If you really want to see a set inventory for this set, you could always do it
yourself...

If you have a copy of the set you can add the inventory yourself:

This has prob been asked before so apologies if I'm asking again, but now

mean they have to know whats in a set right lol.

even with their data its still needs to have human work to add new parts, verify
extras and the like and lego likely realizes it would cost a lot of money on
labour to get employees to do that so they probably don't want to do it

BL does get inventories from Lego, those inventories have to be checked against
what's actually in the box and new pieces, minifigures, sticker sheets, etc.
have to be added to the BL catalogue.

I actually parted out a set today that didn't include one of the extra pieces.
I think the first time that's happened to me that I can recall.

True true I did forget about that. that was something that was always very helpful
when adding inventories.

A few issues with this, namely that Lego do not differentiate between molds for
parts so if a part is available in a new mold in a set, Lego doesn't mention
it. Also, extra parts are not listed in their inventories.

When you're adding a set to the catalog there's often a basic inventory
from Lego that you confirm and add to/modify to make it precise. And then there's
the minfigs that often need to be added and created in the catalog.

Oh man, I've had some giant sets I sat on for 3-4 months, so I get it.

If you're near Cincinnati I'd be happy to help inventory it with/for
you.

Riddikulus! ...sorry, had to do it.

I would finish this inventory just as soon as someone sends it to me. Or hires
me to do it.

How about members keep submitting inventories so they can have them available
just as soon as they want them, and we keep the fees the same. If you need help
learning how to submit inventories yourself, just send me a message and I will
walk you through the process.

Thanks,
Jen
