To give some perspective ~ we were only ever geared to buy sets for the longterm
resell value back then, not parting out. Don’t think I even knew how to partout
sets at that time. Anyway, one of the sets we bought in bulk happened to be

Set No: 7665 Name: Republic Cruiser (Limited Edition - with R2-R7)
*
7665-1 (Inv) Republic Cruiser (Limited Edition - with R2-R7)
897 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 2007
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 1
After hearing about the 30th anniversary gift

Set No: 4521221 Name: C-3PO - Chrome Gold (SW 30th Anniversary Edition)
*
4521221-1 (Inv) C-3PO - Chrome Gold (SW 30th Anniversary Edition)
1 Minifigure, 2007
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6
being placed into sets of that year, I made the foolish decision to open all
of our 7665 sets. A decision based solely on the hopes of finding at least one
the C3PO's. I was so reticent in opening sets at the time and in adding to
the "foolishness" that I bought a scale before doing it, in a nonsensical
effort to avoid opening all the sets Didn't work, ended-up with
all sets open and no gift found.

I say knowingly foolish, because I knew the odds of finding just one within the
50 sets. Though in retrospect, I might’ve never gotten into the more lucrative
parts game, were it not for that gambler in me back then

Plus opening sets and parting them out although more work is lots more fun the
leaving it on a shelf

Anyway, here are a couple of minifigs from that set:

If by "lots more fun" you mean lots more activity? Sure, I understand.
Otherwise, your idea of fun... we might not share.

seeing all the cool pieces and figures and being able to start seeing a
financial return on the investment almost right away instead of first waiting
several years

Sounds an aweful lot like buying a lottery ticket. My CFO does that regularly.
For me it's a win-win - if she doesn't score the jackpot I get to say
"told you so". If she does, I'm rich as well.

With the other half, regretfully promising yourself better decision making?

Some times I just sit back and marvel at how much more detailed and complex LEGO
has become in just 15 years. ... I'm actually jealous of my kids.

Hi. Yes. For example falling for a guy that looked like too handsome for my eyes.
Then started relationship with that kind of a man. Even that showing too many
red flags.

If people have never felt like greatest pleasure with someone... Like so much
better physically than compared with some other, they maybe do not know how i
felt. But it was also like torture. When feelings were involved, then i should
have been always more like "oh, you better think first and not meet him again"
than "the time spent with feeling like in heaven, is better than constantly
being totally bored, totally alone". I lived with that guy some years.

The thing is.. I know i have only this one life. I want to feel like alive in
more than just 1 way. I wanna feel, that i could find someone, that could understand
me and would have lived with many kind of challenges in his life, and still would
have like positive way of thinking. Still would feel like "there are things
to do, places to go to together. Things to laugh at together. There are ways
to spend time together sometimes much talking, sometimes being like more silent,
but still wanting to be together. Times that no need to explain to anyone, why
we would be together. We would be together, because we would see each other the
way that would make us happy, because we see it the way we see, and not wanting
and not needing any other people to interfere to our relationdhip".

Some people are like "oh you are a woman, why are you not a mother? Or why
this or that.
The ones that want to be mothers, good for them. But no need to tell me, that
i should be or should have been. It is not the way i want to be. It is still
my life and i am still with my dreams of what will there be in the future. I
try to live every day trying to enjoy life somehow. Some days are better, some
are more boring. That is just life.

Much things to learn in this life.
I try to avoid people that are only with "life is so sad, life is so bad,
nothing is exciting, blah blah".
Being just at home in fear of anything bad would happen if i would go out, is
not the life for me.
Also going to bars to get drunk is not the life for me. I can understand, if
man would go sometimes, but like every week getting so drunk.. Not my life.

I am also glad i am over the age where i needed to live with parents. I am happier
when i decide when i wash clothes, dishes, who i want to spend my time with...and
many things more.
