trains?

It depends on the set. Check inventory of the sets to check the length (if known)
of wire. Like

 
Set No: 116 Name: Starter Train Set with Motor
* 		116-1 (Inv) Starter Train Set with Motor
361 Parts, 1967
Sets: Train: 4.5V

 
Set No: 119 Name: Super Train Set
* 		119-1 (Inv) Super Train Set
394 Parts, 1968
Sets: Train: 4.5V

* 		180-1 (Inv) Train with 5 Wagons and Circle of Track

and so on.

Unfortunately, it is not clear weather the length of the wire-connector assemblies
includes the length of connectors. For example,

has length 11 studs which is about 8.8cm but the other wire

has length 14 studs. The length of these two items should be the same but the
length of the latter one included its connectors too.
Note that the length is approximate, and can vary a little bit.
