Hello, lately i got some part orders that is making me worry that something can
be done to manipulate lower prices on items. Orders has changed in nature and
are both very monotone and often prices are surprisingly low. It is not on every
order and it is only on parts. It is often the same bricks, the classic ones
in various color that same buyers then harvest. I usually place my parts on average
price level based on what is for sale, but i now see my items on order sometimes
are sold among the lowest price.

And sometimes when i try to investigate searching for part numbers in my inventory,
the database does not give me results, even if i know i have the part there?

Other with experiences like that?

Shops are doing this "naturally".
Big shops have a few Million Euros in Inventory (not us, unfortunately).
Some brand New lots of Plates are found by 10 thousands, up to 100 thousands.
Prices are going down.

That's very normal; people build the more often in Black, White, Bluish Grays,
Tans...

There's a loss or an error somewhere?
With no clue, you can't say anything.

Simply download you Inventory once per week or day in XML.
Use BrickStore to compare and find the problems.

Otherwise, memory is always wrong when it's about Inventory.

Yes, it is possible. For example, a seller could list 1000 lots each containing
one part, all the same at a penny or cent. Then have a lot average price higher
than a penny. It would be impossible to sell anything so there is no danger of
them being bought because they are cheap. But anyone using the active average
price or average quantity weighted price would be caught out.

However it is unlikely to be such underhand behaviour. Classic 2x4, 2x2, etc
are very cheap in unpopular colours.
