I stumbled upon part 3666 in Trans-Orange for a MOC. I hadn't realized it
was such a rare piece when I picked it. the curious thing is that BL doesn't
seem to have a record of where it came from. It's a known color and has listings
but doesn't seem to have any record of its set. Any ideas on what its from
and does this happen often?

Lots of these htf parts come from LEGOland stores, there you can often find parts
that were made for LEGOland builders.
