The name for 4555pb215 currently identifies the helmet as Fabuland Brown, and
the figure features a note stating the helmet may be lighter than Fabuland Brown.
The helmet of the figure from my collection is very close to Medium Nougat in
color. I assume this color to actually be Fabuland Orange (TLG 19 Light Brown),
is that not correct?

Oh, this is the cousin of the homeless minifigure I keep losing track of: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=4555pb260&name=Duplo%20Figure,%20Male,%20Blue%20Legs,%20Blue%20Top,%20Aviator%20Helmet%20Fabuland%20Orange&category=%5BDUPLO%5D#T=S&O={%22iconly%22:0}

Should be Fabuland Orange if it is more orange than Brick Red.

Yeah, I think these are the same figure.

Similar case with 4555pb160 and 4555pb160a, I believe. I don't think 4555pb160
uses Fabuland Brown, but regular Brown.

Can't say for sure what that one is, but it does look Brown. I think these
homeless figures are later alternates of the less detailed ones. 1990-91 was
the transition period during which old DUPLO animals went from their plain-eyed
to more detailed versions. Maybe these also experienced a print change around
1991?

Minifig No: 4555pb260 Name: Duplo Figure, Male, Blue Legs, Blue Top, Aviator Helmet Fabuland Orange
*
4555pb260 Duplo Figure, Male, Blue Legs, Blue Top, Aviator Helmet Fabuland Orange
Minifigures: DUPLO

I can confirm that the helmet on 4555pb260 is Fabuland Orange (LEGO 19 light
brown).

It seems likely that 4555pb215 is also Fabuland Orange.
