I had a buyer disappear on my after sending the shipping quote. I was hoping
the transaction would still happen and I didn't cancel it right away. Then
BL sent me an invoice for this non-existent transaction. I contacted Help twice
and never heard anything back. Now they have suspended my store.

I cannot check on the previous help tickets because it tells me to log in (although
I am already logged in in another window) and then it says my password is wrong.
I have updated my password and now it says the new password is wrong. If I click
"forgot password" it says there is no user with my username or email. The site
is broken. There must be a way to resolve this issue besides paying an unearned
invoice to satisfy the system. All indication is I'll never get the money
back since I have had no response at all from BL for a month.

Has anyone been through this?

Thanks

Quotes are not orders. Presumably this was an order if you were charged fees.
If you weren't paid after a month, you should have filed a NPB to cancel
it. You still have to pay fees if you don't cancel any uncompleted orders.
And if you don't pay your fees after getting billed for them, you will be
suspended, which is what they have done.

Thanks for re-explaining what has happened. That's just what I was hoping
for. I'll print it out before I get in my time machine. It was a mistake
I acknowledge that. No real use walking up to someone lying in the street and
telling them that they tripped and that's why they are on the ground. It
may be possible that I am frustrated at both the buyer for wasting my time AND
myself for not cancelling the transaction promptly AND Bricklink for not respnding
before suspending me.

The real question is do I have to pay this false invoice just to satisfy the
machine? Does anyone have actual experience with this situation or a better
way to get a response from BL?

How much is the invoice? How much is your time worth? You may have to eat it
now and chalk it up to a learning fee.

Was it a Quote or an Order? A quote doesn't generate a an order only afer
being accepted by the buyer, an order is placed if the buyer does the checkout
and you can see it in your orders received page.

Orders are the only thing that generate fees for BL, if you got an invoice for
BL is for all the sales orders you made prior to the day 5th of this month.

You always owe that money, if the orders was not paid by the customer you should
start a Non-Paying-Buyer alert in the problem center, and if completed it will
remove the fee amount you owe for that order, if it is already paid it will be
credited to your account balance I think.

So my suggestion is Pay the BL invoice and submit a ticket with the transactions
details asking for an Admin reinstate your account.

The help desk account and Bricklink account are two separate systems, you need
an account on both.

Thank you. That is not something I would have guessed since one submits help
tickets using one's BL account. But what is is what is.

You don't have to pay the BL fee if you cancel the "order" of the buyer who
disappeared. Canceling the order will give you a credit on your BL Fees account.
If the fee amount is the same as the BL fee you didn't pay, it will zero
out your BL fee account and you will be back in compliance.

I don't know where to go from there. If they don't reinstate you store
right away you will have to try the help desk again or contact Admin-Russell
for help.

And, oh, If you already paid the BL fee you can still cancel the order and get
that credited back on your account.
I hope this helps.

Thanks but cancelling the transaction was the first thing I did once I received
a bill from BL. Then I contacted help. I was hoping the charge would drop but
nothing happened. They said it was overdue, I contacted help again. Then they
suspended my account. Is there a place you can view this "BL Fees account" you
speak of? The only info I can find pertaining to the origins of the charges
come from clicking on "Download Bills" button on the current bill.

Thanks
