| I opened my Bricklink store in May of this year and everything had been running
pretty smoothly until two buyers attempted to pay for orders on August 13th and
14th.
In my store, onsite PayPal is the only payment method I use and I invoice all
my buyers after estimating the shipping cost because I sell mostly new sets in
unopened boxes.
In the first case the buyer suddenly cancelled the order after being invoiced
and cited "system problems" saying that they could not complete the PayPal payment.
In the second case the buyer again could not successfully complete the PayPal
payment to me and kept receiving this error message: "One or more items have
changes (e.g. new price, sale amount, etc.) that affect your order total. Please
review changes and proceed to checkout again!"
Has anyone else encountered this technical issue with onsite PayPal payments
before?
Both I and the second buyer have contacted Bricklink and received tickets around
August 18, but neither of us have heard anything back yet.
Any advice or ideas would be appreciated. At the moment it appears my buyers
cannot successfully complete payment due to a technical issue and that means
that my store is effectively closed, which is quite frustrating.
Thank you in advance for any help.

I had a similar problem last year when trying to pay for an order from another
seller. He had PayPal fees. He put all the fees into the shipping field and
I was able to pay then. It increased my sales tax, but at least I could check
out.
If you charge any fees you may try something similar.

Mix of problems, AFAIK, maybe not technical.
Note that buyers OFTEN use System Problem as a reason, even if they cancelled
the payment themselves, or simply decided otherwise, human nature, etc.
Out of stock can happen after a cancelled online payment. Items are put out of
stock by BrickLink (so others cannot buy while you pay). Then the items aren't
available for 10 minutes even for the original buyer himself. In short it's
normal, and may bring this/those strange cases.
Frankly? Implement auto-checkout if you can do it. Guy sees the price, pays,
done.
HTH?
