| I have one of the red Prototype helmets from around 20 years ago, was a Bricklink
purchase for I think £25 dollars. It is genuine identical to the type 1 helmet
in every detail inside and out. I was wondering if these can still be authenticated
with all of the fakes out there and what it's current value might be?

I'm not sure you can sell them (here) any more, as they have been caught
up in the recent craze for what BL refer to as parts.

Thanks, wasn't looking to sell it, saw there was one listed a few weeks back
at $5000. Gone now, must have been the recent cull you mention. Pretty hard to
put a value on could be $500 or $5000

Few reactions here on the type 2 (illegal version), as yours is the type 1 version
I saw last years it goes between 850 till 1200€ recently, 5k is bit very harsh
as there like est 100 known. Also with the newer mould (with logo), boba fett
type 1 goes 1250€ last year and there less of these then the type 1 vader...
