Here is the case, I got a small order:

Order Date: Jul 9, 2022
Payment By: PayPal (Onsite)
Payment In: US Dollar
Requests Insurance: No
Requests Tracking:

No insurance or tracking requested, so I invoice without, which saves the buyer
a lot of shipping cost.
Buyer pays within hours of getting the invoice, no problem.
Now I go get/pack the order and go over all the info with the order and now it
says:

Invoiced: Jul 9, 2022
Shipping Method: Insured
Insured and with tracking

So my question is, how does this happen, can a buyer change this?
I did not think so, luckily I saved the original order or I would have doubted
myself.

Thanks for any help,
Maxx

Could it be possible that the PayPal payment on-site sets the order to insured
for the buyer?

I don't think so?

Is it possible the buyer updated the order after being invoiced? I know the buyer
can batch items in an order as long as it is in Pending status, maybe he or she
can change shipping options as well?

Don't think so.

But was there one an only one batch? You can change almost anything in between
batches (apart VAT/taxes related).

Does the payment time on your PayPal (?) corresponds to the time you received
the order email?

Got the order, invoiced it, got paid and then it said insured….

How insured? It changed the shipping method?

I don't think even the seller can change the Insurance [x] checkbox AFTER
the order is placed?

And when paid (and not refunded) the seller can't change any number in order

Yes, I guess so.

That was my thought too.

Yup, weird one, but I sent it anyway, new buyer, don’t want to hold their order
back from shipping.

Open a ticket with this maybe, especially if it's a zero FB buyer.

That could be either a bug or an attempt to breach in BL?

You have a Shipping Method named Insured and with the description Insured
and with tracking

But are you sure you have the settings in it correctly put to always have the
insurance and tracking boxes ticked?

Attached screenshot with dummy data.

I have my invoice templates changed to include the shipping method name.
