Hi everyone,
For orders within the USA, who is the generally-accepted best shipper for high-value
($1000) orders? FedEx used to be the first one I'd think of, but I wasn't
sure if that was true any more.

Thanks!

I've never had a problem with USPS priority mail, and any issues with USPS
at all are so infrequent that I never bother with extra insurance for anything
less than several hundred dollars. I don't really have a favorite between
USPS, UPS and Fedex on anything other than price, and USPS always wins that battle.
Just make sure you're buying postage using someone who gets better prices
(e.g. Pirate Ship) and feel free to buy extra insurance if you're worried
about it.

UPS can be more economical than USPS depending on the volume (and if you can
get commercial pricing ... Pirate Ship offers this for both USPS and UPS). But
by all means compare. I would definitely get insurance as well (e.g. from ShipSurance)

Thanks! To make sure I understand: you recommend getting insurance through a
third party insurance company, rather than from the shipping company?

Yes. I don't know if ShipStation offers it, but PirateShip does - cheaper
than USPS insurance, at least.

When it comes to shipping anything larger like sets, UPS is usually always less
expensive especially if the buyer lives far away. Quite often USPS will charge
twice as much as UPS.

Stamps.com now also offers UPS at bulk pricing for their customers.
