Hi,

I sold item 71030 in my store and now I received the following message from the
buyer:"The product was advertised as factory sealed but the box is not factory
sealed, it arrived open
as one would find in a Legos store or other shop. While the individual minifigures
were sealed in their respective packages, the box was not factory sealed as advertised."

Now I have no pictures or proof unfortunately, but I bought the box from a LEGO
reseller and it was sealed. When I say sealed, I mean, I was not able to open
it without using force.

So what does it mean, when a box like this is New/Sealed.
The picture on BL shows an open box as far as I understand, but mine was closed
and not just closed by me, it came closed.

If the buyer is not happy, I will issue a refund after receiving the item back
and checking everything, but of course, as stated in his message, no matter what,
this will no longer be sealed.

Trying to learn and understand, so I am thankful for any answer.

Thanks

LEGO ships/packs these sets in a brown cardboard shipping box. Lately, the decorative
display boxes inside do not have their own seals They used to.

New/Sealed gets a little trickly when LEGO doesn't bother to add a piece
of tape.

+1 - the newer sets of CMFs from the last couple of years do NOT come with a
sealed sticker from LEGO. Retailers receive it in the same way where the box
is technically open. You can advise the buyer to this thread. It may help to
also have Admin clarify and/or add notes to the latest CMF boxes as they are
indeed not sealed with stickers anymore.
